Three years after Voldemort’s defeat at the Battle of Hogwarts, there is a new force terrorizing the Wizarding World. Bellatrix followed in her master’s footsteps and created Horcruxes of her own. However, she’s not just eager to finish her Lord’s plan…oh no, she has plans that go well beyond what Voldemort ever dreamed, and everyone should be terrified.
After Draco Malfoy turned spy for the Order and helped defeat Voldemort, he was pardoned for his prior crimes. The only stipulation being that he must work with the Order to defeat Bellatrix once and for all. But doing this will put him in much closer proximity to Hermione Granger: the woman he has been hopelessly in love with since sixth year — the woman whose trust he betrayed — the woman whose hand is now intertwined with Ron Weasley's. How will Draco handle the situation? Will he handle it with the poise his pureblood upbringing instilled in him, or will he succumb to his jealousy?
When I started reading the story I found it very interesting, I was completely obsessed with reading it, I really liked this soft version of Draco; but I feel that as it progressed it was losing strength, to reach the conclusion of the story things happen without sense, and I find the deaths of some characters very forced.
4.5 ⭐️ Could. Not. Stop. It was such a long but easy read. One of the first stories where there isn’t any Ron bashing and you actually felt sorry for the guy 🥲
If I ever want to get out of a reading slump, Dramione will always save me.
The concept of the story is pretty good. The execution, however, was lacking. The story takes a while to get interesting and when things finally get going, you find out what Draco’s sacrifice was and then you get the entire first third of the story as flashbacks from Hermione’s POV. I read the first third of the book, I was there paying attention, I don’t need to reread everything now. You could’ve just given me the parts of the story that Draco wasn’t there, I didn’t need to revisit every single interaction they had from the beginning of the story. Speaking of Draco’s sacrifice, I hated it. It was unbelievable, there was no reason for why it couldn’t have been done a different way. Just awful. Then we get to Ginny’s character assassination. What was that? And then, (SPOILER ALERT) killing her off IN CHILDBIRTH???? Because of a family curse???? Up until that point I was willing to give this a 3 star rating. After that I had to give a 1 star rating. To make matters worse (SPOILER AGAIN) Luna gets killed in the stupidest way possible and we get no grieving, no one recognizing her sacrifice. There’s no closure, nothing. She was just killed for shock factor and I hated it. Now let’s talk Bellatrix, shall we? What a laughable villain. She presents barely any conflict during 2/3 of the book and in the last third, when she does present a conflict, it’s solved almost instantly. There were no stakes, no fear, no consequences.
It’s a wartime fic but hardly any fighting. Missions/tasks are resolved in a chapter. It’s mostly dialogue, flashbacks and order meetings.
The idea that Draco had to oblivate his memories to protect Hermione and his daughter was pointless considering everything they did it for happened anyways. It was incredibly deceitful and unforgivable to Ron. It would make sense to remove his memories if he was a spy still heavily involved with death eaters but that wasn’t the case. He was very much with the order the entire time, same as Ron.
When battle scenes did occur (2 of them), the scene plays out as Draco killing all of them. That’s it. Or a 3 year old biting Bellatrix which results in her disapperating with a scream. Who knew that all you had to do was bit the witch for her to cower away??
Then Ginny’s strange death seemed to just be tacked on. Hermione put a stasis charm over her pregnancy so she could successfully deceive Ron into thinking her pregnancy was in fact his all because she was scared to be a single parent. But now Harry is a single parent, going through the grief of losing his wife and nobody cares about him.

“I may be the one who’s named after the stars, but you are the brightest star in the entire universe. You came into my life during my darkest days and illuminated what little good was left in me.”
“If Draco was the dark side of the moon, then hermione was the sun, illuminating his hidden parts from her position behind him.”
I loved this. It did not go any of the directions that I thought it was gonna go. I also cried real hard while reading it. Rose is adorable and I love her. This one was just so good and I don’t really know what to say about it. But it was both brutal and adorable at the same time. I enjoyed it.
This is a hard review. The first part of the book was good. I agree with most of the reviews regarding hermoine and the pregnancy and Ron. Idk I got to 80% and then skipped right to the end. I think the secret relationship was great. I already knew that Rose was their daughter before it was revealed so that was kinda obvious. The writing was great and the author did what see wanted. I couldn't get around it in the end
I’ve read more than ten Dramione pregnancy trope fanfics, and this by far is one of the worst. The Hermione in this universe is annoyingly stupid and insufferable - which is out of character if we’re going to based it off of the fact that she’s supposed to be logical and smart.

We don’t rate fanfictions in this house because that is hella disrespectful to these authors that write for free in their free time. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
Wow!!! Tears Draco’s growth! The sacrifice that was made- him leaving Rose and Hermione! So many tears this story rocked me. Such a good story. So happy to read this. ✨🪄🧙
I love secret relationships during hogwarts and angsty break ups so this fic was perfect. Each chapter started with a flashback, which I usually hate, but I thought it worked well in this fic. The first 2/3 is perfect. It has the right amount of angst and it's mostly Draco's POV. The last third felt so rushed and so sappy. Everyone was crying all the time. It makes sense because it happens after the big plot twist, but it felt excessive.
I read this as a WIP and I was desperately waiting for each update.
