It came up as a recommendation because I like psychological thrillers and mysteries. Based on the title and cover, it fit.
I was very wrong. There is no psychological thriller or mystery. It’s essentially a Hallmark romance novel. Couple meet and within days pronounce their love and eternal devotion to each other, but there is some kind of hardship or problem that *could* keep them apart. Except everything is very trivial and the characters are all self destructive, spoiled, vain and have no arc.

There are two short books/stories here. After reading the first, I couldn't/wouldn't go on with the second.
The first was about Noah Wilder running his father's (Ben) business while he is in Mexico recuperating from two heart attacks. Meanwhile, Shiela Lindstrom is devastated by the death of her father who died in an arson fire he is accused of setting at his vineyard. Right away, it's easy to suspect Ben as someone who uses dirty tricks on businesses he wants to get for bottom dollar.
Noah/Shiela meet, fall instantly in lust/love (very graphic) and it's more about ups/downs of their relationship than solving the real mystery which happens in the last few pages.

I was so excited to get this book! LJ is generally one of my favorite authors but the first book in this two book feature was so slow and boring and all about cliche love and romance and sex,.I could not waste my time with the second. Really disappointed!!

These two stories were from her earlier writings. You could tell. Both stories were a little far fetched. She repeated herself a few times. And she could iyf had a longer storyline if she didn't spend so much time on the sex parts. Weren't my favorites. But I liked them.

The storyline was boring and not enough interesting people. The sex part of the book was to much details not enough of the characters. I am not a prude but to much of it with no storyline to follow.
