Beautiful photos, and great-sounding healthy recipes that rely mostly on fresh produce and whole grains. While the grain recipes didn't interest me much (I'm not a quinoa fan, and can't see myself making barley or farro salad), quite a few of the entrees, side dishes and desserts sound really good, and it's nice to have a book of healthy recipes that doesn't rely on protein powder, egg whites, tofu, etc.
There's also pages called Four ways to use...that feature different fruits or vegetables. Some of these ideas are quite creative, and I look forward to trying a few, like the wilted garlic greens to use up kale or the mushroom bruschetta.
Some of the entrees that appeal to me are coconut-curry butternut squash soup, shrimp tacos with pineapple salsa, and spicy ginger beef and bok choy.
The desserts are mostly simple, relying on fresh fruit, but I rarely think to roast nectarines or plums, for example, and there's some lovely ideas and variations. Once I've actually tried a few recipes, I'll update this review, but after reading this, I'm glad I bought it.
