Vanessa Miller is such an awesome inspirational writer and Better for Us was no exception. Ryla, Noel & lil Ms Jaylen were all so lovable; however Jaylen was that God sent angel that actually brought true love back together after years of separation.

Ryla and Noel-a powerful couple of they would allow themselves to be a couple. Noel is her Ex, and he is a handsome, and desirable ex-baller. These two hadn’t seen each other for almost eight years when she dropped college and quietly returned home. But he observes Ryla at his friend’s wedding, and Ryla noticed him and it was her clue to get ghost. But will she be able to keep running and hiding from this man? The answer is absolutely not. Because Noel Carter has a question for Ryla and she cannot run from her secret past. His question requires Ryla to come clean about her seven years of untruthfulness about the little package she brought back home with her from college. Of the three books from the series, this was my favorite but just a small teeny-weeny bit, bec all three are good. I completed all three books in under four days.

I was not a fan of this book at all. I couldn't get past Ryla's decision to keep Jaylen away from Noel, that was a turn off for me. But I kept reading. I was also confused by Noel's anger towards Ryla for tricking him into marrying her, when deep down he really wanted to marry her. My least favorite part of this book was the rushed attempt at bringing God/Jesus/Christianity into the plot. The last chapter made it seem as though all of Ryla's and Noel's problems were solved just because they became Christians.

A reverse story telling of a woman messing up her relationship from eight years ago and her trying to gain the trust of the only man she ever loved eight years later. I found myself shaking my head at Ryla. However, with her past trust issues, it makes sense why she was making certain decisions. It's an easy, light read if you like books like this.

As I finish off the end to the whole for your love series, I love that the circle of girlfriends had to do work within themselves before they had their happy ending with the men they love.

While I did enjoy the story I did have a few issues with it. I felt there could have been more passion between Ryla and Noel. There weren't really any sparks between them. Also, the religious parts in the story didn't quite fit. It's like when you're driving a car and you have speed, the religious parts were the equivalent of taking your foot off the peddle and stomping on the breaks. It just kinda paused the story. I felt the author took two different genres and tried to put them together but it didn't quite work. I'm all for having a relationship with God but you can't let that take away from what is meant to be a sultry and passionate romance. My first book from this author but I'll read another.

Er... Umm...I finished it? I didn't get this book. I read the synopsis on Amazon, and pre-ordered the Kindle copy, but found it early in paper. Sounded so good in the description but in reality, not so much.
The book jumped immediately into the conflict, which didn't amount to much. And then Ryla had some serious stalker-ish, crazy woman tendencies. Not enough to hold me, but I paid for it so I read it.

Ryla has been running from men for a long time. She has kept herself shut off from the feel of romance because of one incident. Now, years later the one man she loved is ready to confront her.

Former NBA star Noel Carter is about to turn his life over to public service. The catch is that in the process he sees his old girlfriend again. She has a surprise that she is not quite ready to share with him. Will this upset his plans to run for office?

I love this book. I picked it up and literally didn't put it down until 4 hours later when I finished it. I loved seeing Ryla Evans and Noel Carter's relationship blossom. I almost started crying towards the end because they hadn't expressed their love to each other. I loved it when they did but I would've preferred if they did it earlier in the book. I strongly recommend this book.

The book was very predictable. There was not enough background information given to understand the conflict which caused the characters to be who they were. The characters were one dimensional and a religious theme was to pronounced thought the book. It was sort of thrown in as an after fact.

I'm not sure I want to call this a romance but at least it was clean. Some people add vulgar scenes to fill up pages and call it a romance. This wasn't like that it had a back story and a happy ending with drama in the middle.

Good, wholesome, uplifting, and encouraging work of fiction.

Written with a lot of eloquence, class, and style. I have read over a dozen of Vanessa Miller's books and will continue to do so. She is an awesome author!

Started out with drama when I rather a bit more backstory for a short romance. The conflict works but was a tad predictable. I wanted to know more at the end.
