Abby Green spent her teens reading Mills & Boon romances. She then spent many years working in the Film and TV industry as an Assistant Director. One day while standing outside an actor's trailer in the rain, she thought: "there has to be more than this". So she sent off a partial to Mills & Boon. After numerous rewrites, they accepted her first book and an author was born. She lives in Dublin, Ireland and you can find out more here www.abby-green.com
First off, I love Abby Green’s books and The Legend of de Marco is one of my favorites.
The plot is not the main thing in this story. It’s the characters that blow you away!!!! Gracie O’Brien, the girl from the wrong side of town and Rocco de Marco, the gorgeous billionaire….what brings these two people together despite having nothing in common…or so they both think….become totally and unexplainably attracted to each other??? The story begins with Gracie meeting Rocco, her brother’s boss, at a glittering affair and her disappearing before he can discover who she is. But he soon finds out when he sees her in his offices looking for her brother, who has stolen a million Euros from his company before he disappears. Rocco believes that Gracie is involved in the scam and decides to keep her close to him.
Of course, he seduces her, in his beyond amazing apartment, where she is now living so he can keep an eye on her should her brother contact her. There are some really fabulous scenes…where Gracie cooks and serves up an incredible dinner to Rocco and the stuck up woman he’s thinking of marrying because she will ensure his status in society!!!! Right….where does he come up with that idea I don’t know….anyway….he takes her with him to Bangkok…..fabulous settings, hot sex, great hotel suites…and then…oh forgot….she flies with him on his private plane with a bedroom…where a lot of hotness goes on between the two….then New York….more parties, more designer clothes that he has bought her….I mean could you resist this man?????? His lovemaking is beyond incredible….you have to read it to see what I mean!!!!!
Such complex characters – slowly opening up to each other, that what they feel is more than just liking being in bed together…and yes they do spend a lot of time there….finding how similar their lives as children were…I thought that the way the author brought that into the story was really powerful and touching. Two broken people who finally meet and discovering their true soul mates. Gracie is no pushover….but loved the way she shows wonder to the world out there…and wow..Rocco reaction…great…not cynical and blasé about his wealth but deep down he can appreciate someone’s enjoyment at things he has been taking from grant for such a long time.
I loved this book and it’s definitely on my favorites section of my bookshelf. Oh yes, there was one thing I didn’t like….the cover. The hair…okay..it’s read but the face….no I did not picture Gracie to have such a hard face….but that’s just me…would have loved her to look softer somehow.
Short Description: Rocco de Marco. Legendary financier and billionaire. The most important man in the room. And he’d just witnessed her filching canapés from the buffet…If waitress Gracie O’Brien’s first meeting with Rocco is memorable, the second is unforgettable. For when he finds her breaking into his office he doesn’t believe her innocence – so he’ll keep her close until he finds the truth. Yet it’s impossible for Rocco to stay angry with the sparky redhead – she’s making him feel emotions Rocco thought he’d buried for ever… And the sexual tension between them is reaching explosion point!
Not a lot happens in this one. Billionaire hero "detains" waitress heroine after her ex-con twin embezzles a million Euros. He had seen her a week before and was instantly attracted. Now that he knows she is his embezzling employee's sister, he'll keep her under close watch first as his housekeeper and later on as his lover.
What made this tropey story stand out was that *both* the H/h are from the wrong side of the tracks. Because of that:
_Heroine really *isn't* comfortable around the snobs of London, Bangkok, or NYC and that was refreshing because all too often the Mary Sue heroine will charm everyone and know exactly what to do in every social situation.
_The hero was sensitive to the heroine's feelings when he broke it off with his high society"fiancee" after she insulted the heroine's cooking.
_The hero has a vulnerability hangover after he spills his story, thus ushering in the black moment.
_The hero can understand and work with the heroine's twin when the true circumstances of his embezzlement are brought to light - thus making a believable HEA
4.5 stars An intensely emotional read. Abby Green is one of my favorite authors, she never disappoints. She creates such rich & multi dimensional characters. Rocco & Gracie have a solid background, a lot of emotional depth, you can't help but root for them. The attraction between them is strong & instantaneous .Their relationship develops beautifully & is very convincing even in such a short time. The H POV's gives lot of insight to his inner conflict & helps cement his struggling emotions.
**Re-Read...I FOUND IT! I've been searching for this book for so long...I couldn't remember which book had the heroine as a housekeeper/cook, and she makes dinner for the hero and his date, and his date is a super big bitch, and the hero breaks up with the OW because he is so incensed by the way she treats the heroine.
Gracie’s brother invites her to come along to a swanky work party and while she’s there, her brother’s boss catches her putting canapés in her handbag. Look, this is not stealing. It’s not the best idea – she should have thought to bring along a plastic container so she didn’t have to worry about wrecking her bag, and I’m not advocating doing it while people are still eating, or doing it where people can see you because there is a bit of a social stigma, but that food’s already been paid for, it’s there for the people at the party to use, and it’s just going to be thrown away when the party’s over, so why the hell not?
Anyway, Gracie’s brother steals a million euros and when Gracie shows up at the office Rocco is all: ah ha! Now I can play a sexy corporate spy game with the redheaded canapé thief! Or in other words, ha ha my pretty! So you return to the scene of your crime! Let’s both be adorable about this game and not go to the police for reasons of there would be no plot otherwise!
I can’t help but feel that stealing a million euros sounds … a bit paltry. A million anything is just not very impressive, and isn’t likely to get you very far. Maybe start at five and I’ll think you might have a sensible idea. No one else in the book seems to think that. Rocco isn’t all, huh, why’d he only steal one million? Although that’s probably because Rocco thinks his own awesomeness at business would somehow have prevented a theft of a larger amount. And Gracie of course thinks a million euros is a lot of money because she’s poor, and when Rocco temporarily hires her as his housekeeper, he’s pretty sure she has asked for less than minimum wage.
There’s also this weirdly pointless thing where Gracie and her brother are twins, which, given they can’t be identical and given they don’t look anything alike, didn’t do anything as a secret. The other thing with this kind of plot is: the heroines never see it as a call to adventure. It’s a stupid complaint to make and I can’t believe I’m writing it, but if this was in any other genre, Gracie would not only think that her brother couldn’t be a thief and there’s something more going on, she’d be trying to work out how she could help him. Instead, Gracie has to get stuck in the plot of being so demonstrably over the top good and shiny until the hero finally works out that she is innocent and super-worthy of the gift of his love.
The day Gracie showed up at her brother’s office was a really bad day. She’d lost her waitressing job and punched her landlord for suggesting she could pay her outstanding rent with sex, and now this really hot guy is suggesting all sorts of dirty things and giving her a room in his penthouse apartment. Which, come to think about it, is probably not as bad as it sounds. Gracie and Rocco muddle through their cutely mismatched relationship. The token hellish bitch Rocco was interested in is rude to Gracie and makes her cry, so Rocco slays her. It’s this pretty cute classic fantasy set up where Gracie is in a too tight maid’s uniform and Rocco can’t stop drooling whenever she walks into the room, and something like that played out in front of you is going to turn even a saint into a hellish bitch, so I think it’s kind of mitigating. Although Gracie’s point is that she’s a person and deserves to have her personhood respected, which is true. Anyway, later on Rocco and Gracie have the hot sex. Rocco also semi-slays a slightly rude lady they meet at a party in New York, also because of Gracie’s personhood, which is a very touchy subject. And yeah, he takes her to New York. And buys her gorgeous stuff. Oh the suffering. Occasionally, Rocco will emerge from his lovesick haze of desire to accuse Gracie of being a criminal and she’ll over-react to a satisfying degree.
I don’t really get why Rocco was so legendary that he gets legend in his title. He’s no more legendary than any other bastard child of an Italian prostitute and evil rich man turned billionaire. I mean, that happens all the time, right? Gracie’s deal is that she wants to illustrate children’s books and I’m impatient with her bland arty dream. Although perhaps if she’d been fiercely passionate about illustrating erotic graphic novels I would have found that distracting, but anyway it gives her something portable and absorbing to do while she waits for Rocco to do billionaire business things in various cities before they go out to billionaire evening entertainments, so it’s all fine I suppose.
About halfway through I was thinking there's no way I'd ever believe in a HEA with this hero because he was so obsessed with securing a place in the upper crusts of society. Like the heroine, I felt he'd eventually want to go back to the 'ice princess' type. However, I think Green did a good job in showing the hero's motivations and internal struggles. Also she showed a connection greater than the physical between the H/h.
I'm not typically a fan of the Cinderella story (aside from the Disney cartoon) and it takes a lot of convincing for me to buy a HEA when the incredibly rich hero scoops up a maid, waitress, etc. Usually I'm left with the feeling that the heroine is mostly a novelty, but eventually the H will grow to resent her lack of finesse in his world. Green was able to make me believe this one, probably because
Uhhh guess my tooth hurts a little, this was way too much sap for me to take in a day. While I’ve loved AG mostly, I felt this book was extended beyond its life and had to be kept going with silly childish ploys of the MCs. Took a few days also cuz what started out hot just deflated into constant yap and make out sessions. This is the longest I can recall of MCs making out without any progress in their relationship. The mistress got promoted pretty much on the last page.
Rocco is a stern businessman from humble beginnings. He’s stolen from, 1M at that and he knows which employee to point fingers at. Convenient for him this employee’s sister comes looking for him since he’s been missing a few days. The H is quick in trapping her from leaving and the only way out is that she pays him back by being his housekeeper until her brother is found and exterminated.
This is all good and the h is holding strong her morals and grievances against the H who won’t listen to her side of the story. Soon enough they’re sleeping day and night, the h isn’t a virgin but ofc has to feel like one cuz she fits like one.. so that’s saying she’s mostly a good girl. The H also drops his fiancée cuz he’s blown away by the h and her beauty and honesty and fresh airs.
I got bored beyond this point. The plot was redundant. All these guys did all day was just that. They also fly to places and join the mile high club. The H is a modern easy going guy. They get along nicely and there isn’t much sparring.
There’s the age old battle of siding with your lover over your brother. The H got mad that Gracie couldn’t agree to his level of hate for her brother given that he stole a million dollars from him. I mean I could hear the H but the h was adamant to defend this criminal of a brother, her reason that he saved her by standing right there when she was about to be abused by a man in a foster home. The brother doesn’t even land anyone a punch but just stood there and the predator took off.
This is her plea for defending her brother despite whatever crimes he does, or despite however many times she slept with the H and went on a fancy dates with expensive clothes and jewelry. I decided she couldn’t be helped at that point but just then the brother comes back and there’s a reveal. The HEA barely shows up as the book ends and it was unclassy and dramatic for a rich millionaire to declare his love for his lady on top of a dinner table at a public place. I cringed and walked out and this wasn’t the greatest start to the new year. Hopefully way better books this year!
I enjoy this author's works quite a bit and this latest entry by her was no exception. This story ticked all the boxes for me and I enjoyed the mention of a prior character Sebastian Wolfe from a previous book. When the characters meet for the first time, sparks flew between them and incinerated when they meet up again later.I loved the character of De Marco with his tortured past ,I am such a sucker for a tortured hero and he fit the bill very nicely.Very enjoyable read,AG did not disappoint with this book.Loved the epilogue.
“The Legend of de Marco” is the story of Gracie and Rocco.
An enjoyable read with likable characters. Heroine is caught by the hero- first sneaking food from a party, and then into his building. He realizes she is the sister to the man who stole from him, and blackmails her into working for him. Ofcourse, attraction strikes and things get complicated, as both prepare for betrayal and heartbreak.
Strong and honest heroine, conifers hero, very sexy lovemaking scenes, drama and HEA.
The main characters are basically decent people. There is a misunderstanding at the start so the Hero keeps the heroine with him. They give in to their mutual attraction, it’s not a blackmail coercion deal. Their relationship is consensual.
Each character has baggage from their childhood, but the Hero is a bit more closed up than the heroine. The author tried to show how the heroine melted the Hero’s hardened heart.
Not much of a story but I liked the couple together and believe in their happy ever after.
The hero Rocco spots the heroine Gracie at a business function and is immediately captivated by her, but he has no idea who she is and she disappears before he has a chance to find out. A couple of weeks later and a chance meeting leads Gracie to Rocco's office after her brother goes missing. Rocco sees red when he discovers that his captivating Gracie is related to the man who has stolen a lot of money from his company, and he can't get the thought that she is involved out of his head. He tells Gracie that until her brother makes contact then she is not to leave his sight, she tries to make him believe she is innocent but also refuses to believe the worst in her brother. While the animosity between them heats up so does the desire each of them feel and Rocco begins to realise that Gracie is different to any woman he has ever met, but his difficult past as left him unable to trust easily. And his lack of trust in her only ends up hurting Gracie, as she has fallen head first for Rocco.
This is such a powerful and moving story, I couldn't put it down. It hooked me in right from the start - I loved the how the hero and heroine first meet, that opening scene is so evocatively written. The relationship that develops between the hero and heroine literally has it all; angst, betrayal, passion, pain, etc. It creates such a wonderful intense mood, that combined with the very dark childhood each of them experienced makes this a very compelling story,.
There is plenty of passion and emotion packed into this book, and it is wonderfully written. I enjoyed this book a lot.
This reminded me a fair bit of my favorite Abby Green romance, The Brazilian's Blackmail Bargain, but has some interesting backstory to keep it fresh.
Rocco De Marco is a former street kid turned tycoon, with dreams of being accepted into the highest of high society. That entails marrying a society princess. But when one of his employees commits fraud and runs away, Rocco finds himself irresistibly attracted to the employee's sister Gracie and insists she stay with him in his apartment -- just because she might be the key to the stolen money, of course.
Naturally there's lots of mistrust and hurt feelings and fear of opening up, on both their sides. None of it's particularly original, but Green writes well and tells a good, emotional story.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked both Gracie and Rocco as our hero and heroine and their romance was sweet, steamy and believable. Although there were the requisite bumps along the way, no one did anything cruel or unforgivable.
The story is that Gracie's ex-con twin brother worked for Rocco as some kind of financial analyst. 1 million Euros goes missing and it seems that Steven took it. He makes a hasty call to Gracie saying only that he's in trouble and has to disappear for a while and then hangs up. Gracie goes in search of Steven and finds an irate Rocco instead. They'd met just the night before at a business function and had an instant chemistry but she'd slipped away before he could pursue her. Once Rocco finds out she's the embezzler's sister, he vows to keep her close. At first Rocco says that he suspects she and Steven were in on the scam together, and later that she'll be his leverage for bringing her brother in. But throughout the whole exchange we as the reader get to hear Rocco's inner thoughts and it's clear that his true motives have more to do with his inescapable desire for her than anything to do with her brother.
It isn't long before they succumb to the passion between them and that first time together is hot, hot, hot! In fact, all their sex scenes are very hot. The author did a great job of keeping the sizzle factor high and in varying the encounters so it wasn't just the same thing each time. I really believed in how irresistibly they were drawn to each other. As their relationship grows, they both open up about their painful childhoods and in doing so, help each other heal. When they reach their happily ever after at the end it's very satisfying and I believed that they would indeed be happy for the rest of their lives.
All around just a very satisfying, well written book.
3.5 Stars Well this was a lovely love story where two people with similar backgrounds find each other and fall in love. The reason why Rocco and Gracie came together in the first place is because somewhere deep inside they could feel that they were kindred spirits. The love scenes were hot and the last couple of chapters in particular kept me turning the pages quickly.
Gracie O'Brien and Steven Murray were twins. Gracie was the twin that was not wanted, he brother Steven was the ill one her mother confessed to only love. When their mother took off Gracie took care of Steven and in his own way Steven took care of Gracie.
When Steven got offered a job and was at a party, he invited Gracie as his plus one. While Steven was attending to other people in the company Gracie ran into Rocco De Marco, who was Steven's boss. They were immediately attracted to each other, however that night Gracie ran.
When Rocco De Marco finds Gracie and accuses her and her brother of stealing one million euros, Gracie is in shock. Since he can't get Steven, Gracie is to remain Rocco's prisoner and mistress. When Gracie gets to close to him, his past and his heart, Rocco hurts her intentionally over and over again. When things eventually get sorted between Rocco and Steven, Gracie yet again runs! Will Rocco be able to convince her he truly loves her?
I found certain parts of this novel emotional, so much so I had to swipe away some tears. I could only imagine how badly Gracie would be damaged mentally after going through so much, not to mention Steven. I have absolutely no knowledge of the foster care system but if those things indeed happen in real life, I am absolutely disgusted!
This was the kind of book where I was hooked, intrigued, and drawn in by the story from the moment I started it. The writing practically begs you to keep turning the page. Well, what do you expect from Ms. Green? There was something special reading a book by Ms. Abby Green. She's one of my favorite Harlequin/Mills&Boon Authors. All of her books possess an addictive quality that draws me in pretty much right away, and this book is no exception.
I loved both Rocco and Gracie. Rocco will rump up your pulse in the bedroom while at the same time managing to tug at your heartstrings because of what he'd been through. And even though he practically blackmailed her and was cold and downright stubborn, he wasn't mean. And you can see early on that he genuinely cares for her and, despite his authoritarian ways, crumbles when he thinks he lost her. And as for Gracie, she had a backbone. She stood up from what she believed. She had a quiet intensity to her. They were perfect for each other.
Overall, The Legend of De Marco was a great read, with just a bit of drama to keep things interesting without becoming too much. I'm itching to get around to the rest of the books in the series!
This is another of the loosely linked series of alpha billionaires and the women who capture them. Rocco de Marco has baggage and plans for the future that don't include the kind of young woman who filches food from the buffet. Even if he finds himself attracted to her.
Gracie is only interested in one man. Her brother who grew up with her in adverse circumstances and needs to make a fresh start. Her focus, like many of Green's heroines, is independence through her special talent. So when her brother is in trouble, the worst news is that his boss, said Rocco de Marco, intends to use her to find him.
And while they are stuck together, that attraction becomes a liability for two people who at first glance have no future together.
This is a very moving story and very engaging as we watch Rocco and Gracie dig deep to find out who they are and unleash emotions hidden for years.
This is a very satisfying read with a trademark Abby Green epilogue for a sneak peak into the future.
Series overall: really enjoying. The ugly backgrounds are not a deterrent, as there has to be something to generate the Heartache, Angst & Drama that I love so well. It pleases my Schadenfreude greatly to see the rich (ala what you see on Millionaire Matchmaker) having way more f-ed-up lives than most of us regular folks, and then having to heroically overcome their personal tragedies--unlike what happens in real-life, where they devolve into drug-addiction.)
My personal reading order (nearly everybody is connected via siblings or half-brothers) # 01.0--The Legend of De Marco (Rocco DePiero-de Marco/Gracie O'Brien) # 02.0--Forgiven but Not Forgotten? (BlueBlood Siena DePiero/Richguy Andreas Xenakis ) # 03.0--Fonseca’s Fury (Luca Fonseca /Serena DePiero) (Billionaire Brothers #1) # 04.0--The Bride Fonseca Needs (Darcy Lennox/Maximiliano Fonseca Roselli) (Billionaire Brothers #2)
I really liked this one cause it was different. Here for a change heroine WAS talking and that was great. Here hero was the damaged one. And strongly so. I also liked the idea of hero being over 40, cause sometimes you wonder if anything fun is happening to people over 30 according to writers, they hardly ever show it in romances. There mature billionaires are almost always around 27. which isn't so strange in our time anymore but still. You know it should be strange that founder and CEO of a big international company is 27yo unless it says that he inherited it. It should mean that he started building it right from the cradle. Heroine pilled hero's layers one by one on their wonderful journey around the world. It was funny to read that they didn't need any time to get used to new time zones. Rich people don't suffer from jet lags. Cool. :) I wonder what year it is? Obviously internet and mobile phones are around. But I wonder why hero is so obsessed with hiding his roots and trying to fit in with aristocracy? Is it really so important or is it smth that's only happening in his head? He is also pretty good to hide his past obviously he doesn't have any enemies to dig up "dirt". Even though tabloids are pretty interested about his love life but apparently nothing else. The finale was strange. Author pulled brother out of the hat like a rabbit. And Rocco was so forgiving instantly believing him about gang and deciding to play vigilantly. But I think in Abby's stories they always come back when they see sisters being held prisoners. :)
3.5 stars, almost 4. I liked this one ok, but the emotional tension wasn't grabbing me. And usually I love this author. Thinking about it, what bothered me were the hero's cruel remarks toward the end. I don't mind (and often enjoy) some hero cruelty, but I didn't like the reason for the hero's cruelty -- in this case, mostly he was lashing out defensively because he was scared of his own emotional involvement. That made him seem weak and childish. I prefer when a hero's cruelty is motivated by the misunderstanding in the plot, not because he's scared of his own feelings.
Overall though, this was readable, I liked the characters, and I was happy for the ending.
I havent read Mills & Boon for a long long time so decided to read Abby Green. Abby is one of my favourite M&B authors, she is very thorough with her stories. Rocco & Gracie where just adorable together. Ok Billionaire Rocco had issues with trust like all M & B men, not trusting Gracie because of her brother who Rocco believed stole from him. This book is full on mind blowing sex, an alpha male and a woman who is stong and knows how to stand her own ground. I wish Abby Green would write for Divaspen cos her writing are soooo good but should be longer cos her hero & heroine are so captivating!
The Legend of de Marco, Book 1 of the DePiero Siblings series, was about Gracie O’Brien, a waitress and twin sister to Steven Murray, and Rocco de Marco, a legendary financier and ruthless Italian billionaire. (I have to add that there was nothing apparent about this book having anything to do with the series title regarding the "Depiero Siblings". Without knowing it, the siblings were "loosely" mentioned in the book and it was all too easy to not make the connection...unless the reader went on to the next two books and learned that both Siena and Serena DePiero were the two sisters who "stepped over" Rocco when his father spat on him when he confronted the man in the street. Yeah, the DiPiero siblings were apparently Rocco's half-sisters...and that is where the reader can make the "Loosely linked" connection in the series.) Knowing from an early age that their mother preferred her "younger-by-20-fraught-minutes", fraternal twin brother, Steven, over her but refused to take care of either, Gracie had been left to raise him on her own. Much as she tried to protect him over the years, she wasn't always successful and, due to some trouble he had gotten himself into, he had spent some time in prison. Now that he had a job with De Marco International, Gracie hoped he was finally putting his dark past behind him. When he begged her to attend the company's charity even as his "plus-1", she was not able to deny him, even though she knew she didn't fit in with the much-richer crowd. Rocco, who had fought his way out of the streets of an Italian town and was now taking his place among the elite members of society, took notice of Gracie from across the crowded room. Catching her hiding some canapes in her purse, Rocco called her on it, causing her to flush with embarrassment. When she asked him if he was from security...he laughed loudly, causing her to become even more embarrassed...and irritated. She was appalled when another man addressed him by name and she realized he was not only the billionaire owner of the business...but her brother's boss as well. As soon as she could...she fled. The week following the charity fundraising event, Rocco learned that Steven had stolen quite a million euros from his company. Since he had not been able to find him...or the woman he met at the event the week before, he was surprised to find her in his building seeking the very same man he was intent on locating. When she tried to run away, Rocco caught her...then accused her of being in on the theft with Steven. Having received a phone call from Steven saying he was going away because something bad had happened, Gracie had gone to his place of work, desperately hoping he was there...only to learn of his theft and the being accused of being his accomplice. When Rocco demanded to know how she was connected to Steven, she made the grave error of saying they were life-long friends rather than twins. Rocco was determined to keep Gracie close until he found her brother, so he had taken her up to his penthouse apartment above his office and had a security detail posted outside the door to make certain she didn't leave of her own accord. In order to ensure she stayed, he had put her in the position of his housekeeper as well. The characters in this book were quite well-developed. Rocco, due to his past as a street urchin and gang member, was a man trying his hardest to be a toughened-up aristocratic snob, like all the other rich people he believed he wanted to mingle with. He hid his past from them because he didn't want them to reject him. Gracie's character was street-hardened as well but from a different angle. Though not a gang member, she was definitely a protector of her brother. Rather than being hard-hearted like Rocco, she was more of a nurturer who believed in helping others to rise above their circumstances. Both characters were mature, with integrity that most authors fail to give to their Heroes and Heroines. Both were trying to escape their pasts but by different means. That they ended up together should not have been a surprise. The storyline was a bit different than the normal romance novels, which made it all the more appealing. The emotions filling the book ran the full gamut, and the angst and drama were well-deserved. It was pleasant to read about a Hero that had no problem standing up for the Heroine whenever someone spoke ill of her...even when he, himself struggled to have faith in her... It was also nice to read of a Heroine who had a backbone and gave as good as she got. This story definitely deserved a five-star rating and to be added to the Keeper for the Shelves collection.
********WARNING... NSFW.. BAD LANGUAGE lol************
Boy the sex was hot in this one... lol...
In the description it says she was breaking in his office.
"For when he finds her breaking into his office he doesn’t believe her innocence"
She didn't break into his office. She went there looking for her brother. If she WAS breaking in, she did a shitty job cuz next thing I know, someone's escorting her up to Mr. De Marco. Yeah most people had gone home for the day but the place wasn't EMPTY lol..
Sorry, my peeve rode me off the rails. lol... Anyhoo... Great Sex. Hawty McHawterson can't keep it in his pants.
Loved the scene where she makes dinner for him and his fiancee, but the bitch was rude to her so he kicked her out and then proceeded to fuck Gracie on the countertop where she made dinner ... omg.... hahaha... or maybe it was a table.. all I know is he shoved stuff off the surface onto the floor and they ripped their clothes off and proceeded to spread their DNA all over the counter. hahaha
Story was good.. both H and h are from disadvantaged backgrounds. Both deal with their issues differently. H's father was a slimy rich bastard... omg... we should totally just stab Caesar! ( sorry...I love Mean Girls and H's dad = Caesar.) But I digress...
Pick it up for some easy entertaining reading.

Rocco - Italian kid from the very far out wrong side of the tracks becomes insanely wealthy.
Gracie - poor twin who's trying her damnedest to make it as an artist.
Steven - the other poor twin who's got issues and considering he's so smart he's also incredibly naive or actually pretty stupid.
Rocco is an ass. He's continually second guessing everything Gracie does to put her in a bad light so he doesn't feel guilty about treating her poorly.
Gracie, to her credit, isn't going to put up with Rocco's shit, no matter how great the sex is. Good for you, Gracie!
Steven pops back in at the end to put an end to Rocco's dumbass speculations.
There's a fair bit of mildly explicit sex in this book. In a plane? In a pool? On a balcony? Sure, that's cool! On a table? On a bed? Condom at the ready? 'Nough said.
