I am never disappointed when I read a book by AlTonya Washington. Provacative Territory introduces us to Clarissa David and Elias Joss, a couple who lives intertwined before their initial meeting. Be prepared for some interesting twists and turns as their family secrets unfold. You will not be disappointed in the book or the outcome. Highly recommended.

Lots of suspense and mystery in this one. Imagine being summoned to your beloved Aunt Jazmina's bedside to share a dangerous secret, that only she knows about, but she dies a couple of hours before you arrive. Pretty impossible trying to figure out who is innocent and who is guilty. In addition, having handsome Elias Joss heating up your nights is not too shabby either!

Review: Provocative Territory is a story of two people making an acquaintance and from the initial first meeting realized there was an instant attraction. Elias Joss and Clarissa David had instant attraction when they met in an alteration shop. Clarissa has come back to town at the request of her aunt and meets Elias. They later find that they will be working together on a construction project and there is a past indiscretion between their families. They both fight their feelings but strong attraction prevails and the two pursue a relationship. Of course, there is a mystery occurring in this storyline that may impact this couple’s relationship.
This was a well written book, Ms. Washington did an outstanding job with character development in that readers will find some surprises with Elias and Clarissa. The attraction between these two jumped off the pages within the first chapter as well as the readers will be able to identify the attractions between several of the secondary characters in the story line as well. The setting was very appropriate especially as it pertained to the mystery surrounding the business venture. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Great start to the Provocative Series.
First in the line up is Elias aka Eli and Clarissa aka Clay aka Clari. Love the chemistry between Eli and Clarissa from the beginning to the end.
Eli did not the whole story of the romance between his and father and Jazmina Beaumont who is the aunt of Clarissa who Clarissa is the exact image of. Eli's father had an affair with Jazmina and was going to leave his wife an only child for but Jazmina talked in out of leaving his family for her of which Eli blamed Jazmina for but until his mother informs him the truth of the affair he has ill feelings for Jazmina.
Clarissa has her only problems with the death of her aunt and all of the gossip about her aunt who before her death was running a strip club but Jazmine realizes that other things are going in the strip club without her knowledge. Makes me wonder if Jaz's death was caused by someone.
Eli has two other business associates in his architectural firm Linus Brooks and Santiago Rodriguez. Santiago's book is up next "Provocative Passion", hope that is also a book for Linus Brooks the partner. So far I have seen one.
Altonya if you're reading this Linus needs a Provocative book.

Spoiler Alert!!!
Yet again I must say you can't judge a book by it's cover. Yes, this novel falls in the hot steaming romance category. However, there was an underlying subplot that was bigger than the romance story itself. And, AND, in my opinion AlTonya Washington did a great job in developing both the story of Jazmina and the romance of Elias and Clarissa.
Overall, it was a story of forgiveness and redemption. Half of Philly hated Jazmina for her unsavory ways. At some point in her life, Jazmina realized she'd done so much dirt and wrecked marriages that it grew heavy on her heart. She had a heart attack and died. She left the burden on her young niece Clarissa. It was a page turner after page 82.
Anyways, it's worth the read. Enjoy.

Elias Joss is the owner of his family's construction company and Clarissa David works for aunt. They first meet when she comes into the tailor shop where Elias is getting fitted and he instantly knows who she is. Elias and Clarissa are immediately attracted to each other but there are things from his past that he is finding it hard to get over. The more time that they spend together they are finding it hard to fight the attraction that they have for one another. I thought this was a very good read and I am hoping that some of the other characters will get a story of their own.
