Asaria Mason is a self-absorbed, manipulative girl and also the daughter of Claud “Big C” Mason, one of the most prominent figures in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. When Big C is taken out of the game, Asaria takes over the family business, as the competition attempts to shut her down—to no avail. A drug deal gone bad, lands Asaria in prison facing a lot of time. She has to find a way out of prison or risk losing everything that her father had worked so hard for even if it meant she would have to do the unthinkable—snitch!
WOW!!! What an AMAZING read! Opening with a bomb and ending with an explosive twist...The Pen Pal: Asaria's Story was a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I loved how the story is written in corresponding letters between Asaria and Avionce. Each letter kept me anxiously anticipating the response of the receiver. And the plot twist was a jaw dropper that I did not see coming! I could go on and on about the many jewels that the author dropped throughout this short read but I’ll simply sum it up with this word of advice… “Don’t be so trusting of people.” Although you mean well beware that there are still people in this world who are calculating, manipulative, cold-hearted and just plain old no good.
Bravoooooo Rayven Skyy, YOU DID THAT! I’m sliding into part 3 NOW! Readers do yourselves a favor….1-Click now and read what all my hype is about!
What an amazing read.....I was not expecting that ending at all. It is crazy how your mind works and how you were able to have readers believe that Avionce was to Asaria what Ms. Raychel and Mr. John had been to him.
This book was slow starting off for me, but I ended up jumping right into it. But I will warn you, the ending is a wow factor! Overall its a good read and I really enjoyed it .
When the book first started I was laughing at how Asaria was flipping on the ones trying to become her pen pal. I agreed with her with the first two letters but Avionce was different. After calming down and giving Avionce a chance I began to have some sympathy about her situation. Avionce held true to his word as far as helping Asaria and dropped some helpful jewels along the way. The same way Ms. Raychel helped Avionce, he decided to pay it forward and offer the same assistance he received. Once everything began falling into place and everything changed for the better with her case, Asaria showed her true colors. The ending was a shocker and made me not like Asaria anymore. Asaria proved you can't trust everybody and in certain situations a person is more than willing to use someone for their own benefit.
" The Pen Pal 2: Asaria's Story" is the second installment in Rayven Skyy's Pen Pal series. In this part we meet Asaria, daughter of a drug lord, who quickly finds herself caught up when a drug deal goes wrong. While in prison, she joins the pen pal service and gets teamed up with Avionce from part one. Rayven Skyy has done it again in " The Pen Pal 2" Asaria's Story". You can see the character's growth throughtout the entire book. Love how it's told through the correspondence of letters. The ending was so twisted it left my mouth wide open. If you're looking for a good, quick read then The Pen Pal series by Rayven Skyy is where it's at! 4.5 stars.
Let me start out by first saying that I am not a new fan to Rayven books. This young lady is truly "GIFTED" when it comes to writing. The Pen Pal book was a very different read, but it was a GREAT READ! This book will truly have you emotional from the beginning to the end. The message that this book sends out is truly "AMAZING". If you are not a firm believer, after reading this book you will be one. I so related to the characters of this book on a spiritual level, that it had me "BLOWN" away. The way this book was wrote in a LETTERING STYLE, was so "AMAZING" and the story just flowed together. Rayven I say keep up the good work and now I am off to writing a review for The Pen Pal Series 2 and then I am off to reading The Pen Pal Series 3!!!!!! Congrats!!!!
If you read part one reading part two is a must. This is Avionce and Asaria's story. This is a quick read and you will quickly be pulled into the world of Avionce and Asaria and heir letters to one another. The constant back and forth between the two allows each too pen up the door of trust and pull their guard down. The more the speak the more things begin to come out that deal with Asaria and who she is and what her sorry is. You will be shocked to find out what happens at the end. Bu you hav to read it to see.
I love the way this story incorporated Avionce's story into it. Although it didn't interest me as much as the first story in the series, I did think that it was a good story. The way the author tells the story through letters is amazing. The ending definitely surprised me and took me for a loop and I can't wait to read part 3.
I won't give away any spoilers for this short story but I will say... Ms Rayven Skyy has done it yet again!!! She brings us another story that evokes all kinds of emotions from the reader. I can't wait to read part 3 next to see what other surprises she has in store for me!
