With a weakness for bossy men and facial hair, Jay is willing to serve up more than just drinks when a handsome stranger with long sideburns walks into his bar. But the object of his desire may be more than Jay gambled on.
Warning: light bondage and the blatant misuse of items of clothing.
Under a prickly, cynical surface Lou Harper is an incorrigible romantic. Her love affair with the written word started at a tender age. There was never a time when stories weren't romping around in her head. She is currently embroiled in a ruinous romance with adjectives. In her free time Lou stalks deviant words and feral narratives.
Lou's favorite animal is the hedgehog. She likes nature, books, movies, photography, and good food. She has a temper and mood swings.
Lou has misspent most of her life in parts of Europe and the US, but is now firmly settled in Los Angeles and worships the sun. However, she thinks the ocean smells funny. Lou is a loner, a misfit, and a happy drunk.
Short and sexy, this is a fun story with a twist about which I won't say much - so as not to ruin the surprise, but I will say that it made me smile.
Jay is a bartender, and the descriptions of his working place were so engaging that the bar became real to me. The customers alone would make most people pause, and once they see the menu, all but the most determined would depart. When "Handsome", a stranger who comes for a lunchtime drink, enters the scene, Jay is suddenly far more interested in providing customer service than he was before. Seems he has a thing for somewhat hairy strangers. They start to talk and what follows is an adventure of the sexy-fantasy kind and things get really hot, really fast.
If you like sexy stories with lots of fun details, if you enjoy two men getting a little kinky once they hit the bedroom, and if you like stories with a twist, you'll probably enjoy this short freebie. I certainly liked it enough to want to try the longer book with these two characters (Last Stop).
so I'm not really into mm stuff but if you take that away it really is a story of seduction with a breezy nice twist at the end . over all a good book !
A lot of times these short erotic stories tend to be made up of a very small introduction and one very long overly explicit sex scene. Pleasingly this one has a little more story and two likeable MC's who generate some nice ST before the inevitable sexy love scene. There is a bit of bondage using items of clothing in it, but its very lightweight and inoffensive, and a twist in the tale (that has been done before) that I didn't see coming in this particular story but on checking out her other books I now see why. Enjoyable for its length and it's free!
This free 25-page story is a short sexy side-trip in Harper's Last Stop universe. Here, Jay is visited by a handsome stranger at work, but not all is as it seems.
I'm sure you may enjoy this short take without reading Last Stop, but I think I felt more connection because I read that novel first, and it was fun to see the characters again. My favorite part here was actually the end dialogue. (The dialogue and back-and-forth between the MCs was probably one of my favorite parts of Last Stop, so it was neat to revisit that dynamic.)
Also, a nice detail with the S on the cover--that's a clever cover/story connection.
I'm not sure if the author is planning more for these characters, but I'd be up for reading if there is.
Hot short free story! I haven't read the longer story of this couple, since I am not a fan of D/s ....but this is a good short with a little bit of a twist!
I never read Last Stop, the first book in this series, so that meant I had a nice little surprise twist at the end here (although I guessed a little). This was a sweet and hot little short. Reminded me of another free short, Dress Me Up In Your Fantasy.
A really short follow-on to "Last Stop" (which I rated 4.5 stars). This one was free and not nearly as interesting as the whole book about these two. I don't think I would have even gotten it for free if I hadn't enjoyed the main book so much and I wouldn't recommended it to anyone who's read "Last Stop" or not. But, read "Last Stop" anyway. Wonderful.
Man sees bloke entering gay bar. The two connect and meet up. Have sex that gets a kinky edge. Nothing special in the gay erotica genre you think? Indeed, nothing out of the ordinary.
At least the author did a good job in adding just enough character to the two horny protagonists to feel the vibe of something close to a romance, instead of the typical in-and-out one-night stand. It even has something of a surprise ending. Nice.
What the fuck did i just read moment right there. I was reading this while in the hospital and there was that smile on my face that was very similar to a person about to do malicious deeds and when the scene ended, my face dropped. They fucking knew each other?! Then again this was my first book in the series and obviously there is a first part that I should have read. Awesome read though.
I really enjoyed reading this lovely book. I love the relationship between Sam and Jay. I loved the twists and turns in this book. I really enjoy reading Lou Harper's books they are always good. I will recommend this book to everybody I know and to all my friends too.
Very cute - lightly kinky story continuing on where Last Stop left off (some time in the future). Little fantasy role play with the boys. Nothing not to like - fun!
This was a total bite your lip morsel of goodness right off the bat. I loved the characters and the way the story was told. I've read this style before (fantasy/re-enactment) and it really works. I can't wait to go ahead and read Last Stop now.
I really enjoyed this. It was done very well. I was starting to get annoyed with the over willingness of Jay. But I told myself that maybe there would be a twist at the end, and there was. So I thought overall it was really good.
