In this Games of the Underworld story we meet Brynn and Braydon, beware this book is pretty gruesome.
We start out with Brynn in a cage, being tortured, watching torture and she ventures to escape only to fall down in the middle of the road. Luckily, Braydon sees her and takes her back to his encampment. He is part of the human resistance and he assumes Brynn is human as well. Or is she? Dr. Otis did some experiments on her, and during the course of the story she has some super human abilities like her hearing and smell. The narrative does not come out and say what she is, though, it is interesting.
Brynn, Braydon and the Human Resistance in the camp take on an undercover mission in The Velvet Fang. Brynn gets in with papers stating she is to be punished for whatever transgressions and to be used as one of their human slaves.
She gets brutalized. What Alexander does to her made me wince and cringe.
There is a romance plot between Braydon and Brynn but I feel it is doomed to fail. Brynn has been through so much trauma, I don't know if she'll ever be capable of having a relationship. Good luck to her, though. Braydon was kinda weird, and thinking about his d!ck at odd times when he should have been concerned for her. Another reason I don't think the relationship will go far. Then again, in end times, gotta love the one you're with.
This was an interesting story, some editing errors though that pulled me out of the story. But if you like erotic horror, this book is for you.

Another amazing book from this series. I feel like every book I'm getting deeper and deeper. This one blew my mind.

This is Brynn and Braydon's story. It's another great story in this universe and added another level of development to the Games if the Underworld universe. Definitely recommend this book.

The girl in the cage, I was not expecting we would see her again! After escaping her capture Brynn is nurtured back to health and bonds the man Braydon. Driven with determination, she wants to do her part to infiltrate the enemy grounds to gather important intel. She knew it wasn't going to be easy but could not fully prepare for what was to be dealt to her by Alexander. (I'm not meant to like the bad guy am I?) and be discovered about herself and missing memories.
The vampire queen of her clan, makes an appearance, meeting with shady characters, risking life and limb in an attempt to gain a new advantage.
