Serenity's days and nights may include the finer things in life, but she never pictured it like this. Her new surroundings come with limitations and expectations, destroying everything that was decent and innocent about her. Her soul is crushed, and there are no familiar faces around to comfort her. Memories of her past have led her into a bottomless pit of regret and hopelessness. Carla's search for Serenity begins with nothing promising, but her love for her sister keeps her pushing forward. When her suspicions turn into actions, she unknowingly triggers a chain of explosive events that threaten her sister's existence. Cass throws caution to the wind and continues to do business as usual. When his denial about Serenity creates coldness toward his sister Heaven, he struggles with a life-altering decision. His twisted lies are catching up to him in the worst way. Serenity is in over her head and sees only one way out. Will she end it all and give up without a fight, or will she be able to play the game of the streets and come out on top?
I hated this book so much. I don't know if the author lost the drive or felt like she needed to keep putting out work to appease her audience. This felt rushed and too many loopholes were had. We don't get an understanding on how all these people got away with murder just a very ambiguous "they lived happily ever after". I also hated how violent it was. There was an undertone that being rough and abusive was just being "manly" or "masculine" and that worries me. There is literally a moment when the sister Carla is abusing a lady and the author makes a comment about her being manly because she is doing so.... dysfunctional. Extremely violent and honestly a pointless rape scene with a character that has no importance and no actual understanding of Iris loving? or lusting Serenity. Lots of colorism as well i'm just.... not worth the time. I was basically just hate reading at the end.
The final book of this trilogy opens with the search for Serenity, who has been snatched by Iris. What started off as one thing, ends up turning into something else.
Heaven is still battling with her sexuality, while trying to keep it away from her brother Cass. Just as she's getting over Serenity, someone from her past re-emerges to claim her heart.
Treachery and deceit are the major themes in this book. I was pleased to see that everyone who deserved it…got theirs in the end. I think this installment lost a little gas, but I still enjoyed it. For that reason alone, I'm giving it 💎💎💎💎.
I really didn't like this as much as I liked the first two in this series but it was still pretty decent. I found myself really hating Serenity. Who thinks about shopping while on the run? Really? I'm not about that lesbian life but the lesbian scenes were really hot...especially with Carla and the squirter lol. There were a few surprises and things I didn't expect. The ending was decent. Natalie Weber, I need for you to make a series staring Rico! -Someone please correct me if she does have a book with Rico being central character.- I need more about him and that football player who came to the restaurant. I'd love to know how that affair started and how Rico gets down. I enjoyed this series and look forward to reading more by this author. :)

I'm glad that Serenity was finally found but the book got way to messy throughout. There were too many story lines and included the lives of too many characters. Finding out Rico was gay was hinted in the second book but it was irrelevant in this one to know about his ex lover. This book didn't keep me intrigued as much as the first. Wish it had been better.
