Desperate to fill the terms of his grandfather’s will, Nathan buys himself a wife. He wasn’t particular who it was just as long as she was an agreeable woman. Did her duty by baring his child and left him alone to pursue his own amusement. However, minutes before the ceremony was to begin the silly twit had run away. Furious he confronted her family and demanded they produce a woman he could wed. It was only after the wedding was over that he bothered to look at the woman he’d married. He was shocked to find himself attracted to her.
I live on a sixty five acre property two hours from Perth Western Australia, with my husband Stephen we have a few cows, sheep and plenty of kangaroos. We have four children my son Jayde, and daughters Tamara, Kyrsty and Bradie and also five grandchildren (so far). The serenity of our property makes it a great place to write. No sirens, no traffic and no neighbours. Just the birds and the breeze in the trees. Love travelling and seeing different cultures and the history of annother country and we try to at least go travelling once a year. At the moment I have the opportunity to live in Penang for a year.

I liked this novella, and wish it had been a bit longer. Sheldon was a great heroine, I enjoyed her personality and the fact that while she had her own views she was not blindly stubborn and unwilling to compromise. Nathan had his moments, I'm not sure I bought his complete turnaround happening so quickly, nor did I enjoy his jumping to conclusions toward the end. There were a few minor grammatical errors but they didn't deter from the story. The ending was a bit rushed and a little too neat for my taste, I would've liked seeing Nathan do a little more to get back into Sheldon's good graces after what happened between the two of them. Overall it was a nice short read, 3 1/2 Stars.
My kind of story. Under appreciated daughter saves her family from the poor house by taking the beautiful selfish daughter's place at the alter (on one condition). The plot thickens as each new twist is thrown into the mix. Not a brainiac book, but still easy breezy enjoyable.
If you don't take it seriously, this story can be entertaining. However, I will not read it again.
Sadly the dialogue seemed modern(smooth operator?!) but with older words such as tarnation, blasted, insufferable, drat, heaven help her, etc thrown in to make it fit into an older period. A few editing problems--who for how, lose for loose. The whole plot was a shaky way to have some spicy scenes between almost strangers.
Although, the typos and misspellings were horrendous, the actual plot was very good. It was well worth the read. I understand other reviewers distaste with the meditating errors and agree, but the characters were well defined and it makes you laugh at times just imagining little Sheldon storming into brothels to save souls. I'd recommend this book....just try to overlook the grammatical errors.
