The aim of this book is to identify as many of these sites as possible, and to present information so that readers may find and visit or drive over the historic courses for themselves. There are over 800 sites associated with motor sports history in Britain. Some were used only once, others frequently over a number of years. Many of the roads used for the early events are still in use and can be driven over today. The aim of this book is to identify as many of these sites as possible, and to present information so that readers may find and visit or drive over the historic courses for themselves.
It took over 3 years for me to read this incredibly well researched and detailed guide to motor racing circuits past and present throughout the British Isles. I found the detail given very impressive as well as interesting, my only criticism being the Isle of Man is listed as part of England rather than as a separate country. One which will remain on my bookshelf to refer to time and time again.
