Coalescence of the Five #2

The Rogues Who Went Rogue

Rate this book
When the line between allies and enemies blurs, a king and queen must trust each other—even when trust seems lost.

A rogue pack seems to possess almost impossible knowledge to evade capture as King Alexandar and Queen Lucianne learn a difficult truth—the leader of the rogue pack is bonded to one of their allies.

To make matters more difficult, something is stirring in the vampire community.

Rumors, reports, whispers of kidnappings and invasions. With threats pushing in from every angle, the king and queen must fight to protect their kingdom, their allies, their friends, and even one another. As bonds are forged and broken, the royal pair must face a sinister thought—perhaps the threat looms within their circle.

And as their love and trust for one another are put to the test, they must remember that dark forces are no match for their bond. But how can anyone fight an unseen threat with the ability to bring the kingdom to its knees?

When all seems lost, even a pinprick of light can ignite the fires of hope . . .

When Stina is not writing, she can be found reading anything that piques her interest, accidentally buying books on accidental visits to bookstores despite the shelves of unread novels at home. Always a daydreamer, she often fantasizes about what could unravel if something that didn’t happen happened. She is also prone to buying stickers and washi tapes (by complete accident) and then wondering what to do with them.

With a goal of inspiring others and hoping they draw strength from her characters, she wishes to write in a way that makes everyone’s days a little brighter, that allows them to appreciate who they are and fall in love with the magic they add into the world.

Werewolf stories have saturated the literary landscape in recent times, but amidst this abundance, Stina's Pen's The Rogues Who Went Rogue stands out as a shining gem. By skillfully blending the age-old concepts of alpha dominance, beta loyalty, and omega bonds with a modern setting, Pen breathes new life into the genre, captivating readers with her fresh and imaginative approach.

What truly sets this fantastical tale apart is the rich tapestry of characters that populate its pages. Within its folds, we encounter Margaret and her daughter Stella, who embodies the enigmatic allure of the rogue wolves—those without a pack. Margaret's journey takes an enthralling turn as she forges an unexpected bond with Tate, a connection that instills both fear and hope, thanks to her haunting past. In addition to these captivating protagonists, the author introduces a captivating ensemble that includes the likes of Greg, Maverick, Queen Lucy, and King Xander. Together, they form a truly unique and captivating cast, their interactions and individual stories interweaving into a symphony of literary brilliance.

While prior familiarity with the series is advantageous for a complete immersion in the intricate plot of this book, Stina's Pen deftly ensures that even newcomers can navigate the narrative's depths with ease. Her skillful exposition, artfully dispersed throughout the book, neither overwhelms nor disrupts the flow of the story but rather enhances the reader's understanding in a remarkably natural manner. Furthermore, Pen achieves the remarkable feat of making readers genuinely care about the characters and their profound aspirations, deep-seated longings, and fervent desires. Their emotional journeys resonate deeply, forging a powerful connection between the reader and the fictional realm they inhabit. The breadth of characters in this book can, at times, be overwhelming. Just as one becomes utterly captivated by a particular set of characters and their enthralling storyline, the perspective seamlessly transitions to illuminate the inner workings of another protagonist.

Pen's masterful interweaving of werewolf lore within a contemporary framework, coupled with the remarkable depth of each character's personality, ensures an enthralling reading experience. Though the multifaceted storylines and shifting perspectives may require some effort to keep track of, the reward of delving into this engrossing world is undeniably worth it. Prepare to be enchanted by Pen's literary prowess and lose yourself in the captivating universe she has meticulously crafted.

Absolutely love this series. Definitely recommend to anyone even if werewolves and vampires aren’t your normal genre.

I read this on an app where one book led straight to the next so it took me until the 3rd to realize these are all separate. While my favorite books to read are series ( yes I’m one of those who love watching characters grow and seeing how their lives turn out and get sad when the series is done) I sometimes get bored. This series is not one of them. Not only do the characters continue to grow and progress but they constantly added new wonderful characters who added to the story and weren’t just filler.

The vampires play a huge role in this book along with the rogues working under Greg. Can’t say more it gives away too much. Look for a hilarious interaction though between Christian and a tree!

Loved this book as much as the first! The character growth is amazing and the little funny bits are great. Like a little someone’s first word. Haha. The way these books are written truly capture all aspects of life; love, passion, humor, conflict, resolution, and everything in between. It’s nice to read a book that isn’t just a build up of stress until the climax and just tumble into happily ever after.

They are about to find life more difficult when they learn one of their allies is bonded to one of their enemy. This is going to make things even harder to find the answers to their problems. Something is going on behind them all which may ruin all their lives. See how they deal with it all
I received an advance copy from hidden gems and was a brilliant read

The Rogues Who Went Rogue by Stina’s Pen is the story of King Alexandar and Queen Lucianne….and their world that has been invaded by a rogue pack. When the hard truth is learned, they have no choice but to work together. Doesn’t help that there are problems within the vampires as well. Exciting, exhilarating story that will keep you glued to the pages!!

I liked this book and the continuation of the characters from the first. I did want it to speed up at the end as it was trying to tie bows on too many story lines, but I was satisfied with how it finally wrapped up!

This sequel was awesome! A continuation of the first book, but we get a look at a new species, the vampires, and a peek at what is needed for something big in the future. Second chances, an important discussion about what happens when people leave the prison system, and royal mavericks. Again we get characters to change their minds on previous prejudices and open their minds and hearts.
