I thought this book was very good, it had a lot of useful strategies for keeping your full armor up. there were good testimonies, as well as a lot of biblical references and teachings. all in all id say this is a good tool for anyone wanting to further their biblical knowledge on the full armor of God.
If you have read other works on the Armor of God, I encourage you to read this one. This is fresh, right now insight that will fill you, equip you, and prepare you for the battles of the flesh and spirit.
I loved the idea of this book, the potential was tremendous! However there's too much scripture misinterpreted in this book and I disagree with quite a bit of his theology. More specific, miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit were no longer given to Christians once the apostles died, but this is not what the author, Perry Stone is teaching. The rabbit trail from his misinterpretation of the scriptures goes too far to address.
There's an article here that goes into why miraculous gifts are no longer available today with a lot of scripture showing why and what that means specifically: https://westpalmbeachchurchofchrist.c...
Deep without going over your head or being too theological for everyday understanding. Full of wisdom and challenges to grow as a prayer warrior while strengthening us to resist the urge to surrender to an already defeated enemy.
I read this book very slowly over a period of months because of the wealth of knowledge it contains. I underlined, circled, starred and dog eared pages. This one is a keeper
Each of us faces times of crisis and distress in this life. When we face those times, we need strength for the battle. Perry Stone releases spiritual truths designed to strengthen believers in the battle and aid them in coming out the battle to the other side.
I would encourage every believer to pick up a copy of this book: to benefit yourself and to further the gospel. Stone does a great service to Christ’s body by uncovering Satan’s tactics to cause us harm and God’s strategies to protect us from harm.
When the battle happens, and your armor begins to show signs of stress from the battle, you can be assured, by faith, that your armor will not fail. Stone encourages believers to prepare for the day of battle and prepare their armor (dust it off) so that we can overcome in the day of battle.
Although this book is an interesting look at the armor of God, I was distracted while reading because of Stone's many typos/grammatical errors and sexist generalities.
There's much discussion about David as well as the "cracks" we get in our protection from God because of our own behavior. All in all, I can't recall much take away value from this volume.
Pages: 252; Date of Publication: 2014; Not part of my book collection.
There is so much great information in this book. Pastor Perry has done an excellent job dissecting the word of God on this subject in this book. I have read most of the books written by Perry Stone but every time I read a new book written by him, it has a lot of new information. Let me just say this: you are getting more for the price. I highly recommend all to read it!
This book was very very good. Mr. Stone expressed many problems in our faith and spiritual walk and gave real answers that are practical to help solve these problems. I feel that I am walking away more prepared and definitely better suited up in my armor.
