Latisha
I just want to get through this undercover job and get back to my team. Unfortunately, a certain half-human bodyguard won’t leave me alone. He’s suspicious that I’m not who I say I am and we keep running into each other in the most inconvenient places.

No matter how hard I try to resist the sexy bodyguard who looks at me like I’m a goddess I keep thinking about him and wondering what it would be like if I gave into his flirtations. Can I find the courage to let him in my heart before our time together runs out?

Bowen
I was abducted from my bed a year ago. Alien scientists altered my genes and now I’m a half-human half-katsuro hybrid. Whatever they did messed with my emotions too. I can’t feel anything. Life is just one numb day after another. That is until I meet her. Latisha is like a light in the darkness and she’s making me feel things I never thought I’d feel again.

I thought our meeting was a chance encounter but the more I get to know this mysterious siren of a woman the more I think it was fate that brought us together. Can I convince her to give me a chance before she slips out of my life forever?

✨ARC Review✨

🏳️‍🌈If you’re looking for an amazing queer read, any time of the year- this one is perfect!🏳️‍🌈

Omg YOU GUYS!!!! Lunar Chaos might be my favorite installment, which is not something to sneeze at, as I loved the other ones! But omg I absolutely LOVED this one so much!! (Keep in mind this is not a standalone. But I highly recommend the previous books too!)

From the bottom of my fiendish heart THANK YOU Crystal for the way you do your TW/CW. There are warnings at the beginning of the chapters that need them. AND as the prologue could be quite heavy, there is both TW/CW at the beginning, as well as a synopsis at the end of the chapter of the important points so you don’t have to read it if you don’t want to! THIS IS AMAZING! I wish all books included this, thank you! I actually wasn’t in the head space to read the prologue when I started the book, so I started at ch.1, but then went back later to read it when I felt mentally prepared. It was so helpful! As someone with anxiety and triggers, this made my reading experience so much more pleasant and not stressful!

🐱My Experience🐱
I related to Latisha so hard. After her traumatic childhood, she has promised herself not to trust anybody, ever. Literal, word for word shit I promised myself too, still undoing that little number🤣. But holy crap I felt like I got Latisha and she got me. A lot of her traumas, both body and childhood wise, echo a lot of my own experiences in some ways. Her struggles with touch and intimacy are things that I similarly struggle with. It often has made me feel broken in the past, but this was so healing and cathartic to read about!

Bowen is an absolute DREAM. I thought his southern came through on the page in a fabulous way, not an easy thing to do in my experience! I’m pretty sure this catman healed a little piece of me. There is a moment where Latisha says “Stop.” mid-deed, and he immediately does, and goes on to say “Never thank me for stopping when you’ve asked me to. No means no. It doesn’t matter where you’re at in doing the deed.” *has prickle of tears behind eyes*. Omg did that feel so good to read for this survivor.🥹 Also- I think I saw @nonniereads refer to Bowen as a “Nick Miller” from New Girl, and I COULDNT AGREE MORE 🤣. Love me some New Girl.

I love the little details that Crystal injects into the story to make it more immersive. For example- idioms and phrases not making sense to Latisha. Like Bowen’s southern phrases that don’t match up to an alien’s. I loved those little details and how the alien’s would struggle to understand him. Lots of comedic moments too. 🤣

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE SEX SCENES!? Holy catman, Batman. That shit was HOTTTTTT🥵. Bowen can get it. They were so detailed, girthy, and the perfect length!😈🥵

Seriously, loved this story and the overarching story. Can’t wait for the next book!

Alien-ness: 👽👽🔘🔘🔘(He’s genetically spliced with another species. Studded.)
MCs together: 🫂🫂🫂🔘🔘( They are “together” from the start working in the same house, but their direct interactions build throughout the book.)
Burn:🔥🔥🔥🔘🔘(Medium burn. First sexual encounter around 50%ish.)
Spice: 🌶️🌶️ 🌶️🔘🔘 ( 3.5, There are several clusters of spicy lengthy, scenes🥵)
Sweetness: 🧁🧁🧁🔘🔘 (Dude, Bowen is a dream. Absolutely adorable himbo.)
Funny: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🔘(So many hilarious moments.)
Angst: 😈😈😈🔘🔘(Denfinitely some angst but not too heavy a dose.)
Action: 💥💥💥🔘🔘 (Definitely a bit of action scattered through, and then more action at the end!)

✨ARC Review! I received an early copy of this book and this is my honest review.✨

“You forget, you’re my goddess and I’m your fool. I’d do anything for you. There is no limit to that statement.”

I received an ARC in exchange for a review. Lunar Chaos is the next installment in the Lunar series. This series is phenomenal and blends romance, action, and world building into the perfect series that you won’t want to put down. I give this ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️!

At the end of Lunar Joy we learn that Latisha (the teams master spy and assassin) has taken a job going undercover at a merchants house to gather intel about the rebellion. She’s taken on a role as a maid in Kach Dinak’s house. While trying to blend in she comes face to face with Kach’s newest bodyguard, Bowen.

Bowen was a poor southern man who was abducted from earth and experimented on. He’s now a half human half Katsuro (cat alien). He’s currently an indentured servant for Kach and seems to always run into Latisha when she least expects it.

They have this unnatural pull towards one another. Bowen is always trying to spend time with her and flirt, while Latisha tries her hardest to ignore him or be mean to him. Eventually these two are forced to help each other out and that one night turns these enemies into lovers.

All the while those two are figuring out their feelings, the rebellion is rising up in the background. They take down another house and the leader, Junak, finally reveals his identity (it’s a jaw dropping plot twist!)… these events create the build up for what’s going to be the climax of the rebellion in the next book! (Can’t say too much more because I don’t want to spoil anything!)

Latisha was always so mysterious in the previous books and I’m glad we finally got her backstory. What happened to her as a child and how she grew up was so heartbreaking (I cried), but it definitely sets in stone her stand off-ish personality and why she doesn’t let anyone get close to her. Seeing her walls get broken down by Bowen was heart wrenching. I was rooting so hard for her to just open up and let him in. I loved how he gave her the space to work through her trust issues.

Bowen… this himbo catman. He’s so optimistic about everything. Even though he was abducted from earth and turned into a half alien, he’s so upbeat! He always looks on the bright side. He’s the total opposite of Latisha, but such a good match. They balance each other perfectly. Plus the way he worships her? She’s a lucky lucky gal! I loved watching their relationship turn from bickering into being all in with one another.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Although my favourite couple is still Drannon and Claire from Lunar Joy, I loved to see how Latisha learned to trust and fall in love with her mate Bowen. Can't wait for book five!! ❤️

Every time I think I have a new favorite book in this series the newest book takes that place. This book definitely earned all five stars.

I loved that we got to know and understand Latisha, who was always an interesting background character. I appreciate and commend the attention to trigger warnings given by the author surrounding Latisha's upbringing. Reading about Latisha's early life was heart-wrenching to say the least.

I admit that I am a sucker for enemies-to-lovers and this book definitely scratched that itch. You immediately feel the pull between the characters and don't want to put the book down.

I also love what this book does as an addition to the overall world-building of the series. The series feels intimately connected.
