Absolutely indispensable for anyone wanting to try whitework (embroidery in white thread on white fabric). This is a form of embroidery that I find simply gorgeous (I love everything lacy and delicate), and this guide is perfect to get started. It covers pulled thread work, drawn thread work, cutwork, satin stitch, trailing, long and short stitch, eyelets and many other decorative stitches that look splendid in whitework. And the examples throughout...ohhh they are to die for! I never imagined embroidery in one colour could have so much texture and become so alive!
