“Message of Faith” is the second book co-authored by Retha McPherson and her teenage son Aldo. It tells of Aldo’s miraculous healing and their supernatural journey since a car accident almost claimed Aldo’s life in 2004. The book contains journal entries in Aldo’s own handwriting wherein he warns the bride of Christ to be ready for the soon arrival of the King. During Aldo’s coma Jesus took him to heaven and hell. “Aldo rarely wanted to talk or write about hell. Jesus said he had to wait for the right time,” Retha explains. She goes on to say, “That time is now here. He recently told me Jesus said to him, ‘Aldo, tell My bride – BE PREPARED, I am coming soon.’” Aldo’s letters will open your eyes to the reality of heaven and hell and the implications of your choices here on earth. The book explains that the road of dying to self and living in Christ is what purifies the bride, and this can only be done if you walk by faith and not by sight – believing that God is who He says He is.
I was captivated by this book and every word in it. I intend to follow Retha and Aldo and keep up to date with their ministry. I sense the urgency of the message and am inspired to live my life in alignment with God's Word.
I will never forget reading this book. I was very moved by both the story and the Spiritual Truths sprinkled throughout. This follows Biblical teachings and feels inspired in the message. Highly recommended.
So many faith-building gems in this book. Encouraging yet challenging to live a more consecrated life. Retha honestly shows how it is possible to live a life in the Spirit.
This book was so bad that I resorted to speed reading. Chapter after chapter basically repeated the same message over and over again. Much of it did not come across as believable. Photos are periodically shown of the child all the way up to adulthood. In every chapter no matter his age he is addressing his Mother as "Mommy!"! No child in America would do this because of peer embarrassment! Maybe, school-age children, teenagers, and adults do this in South Africa. Though I do believe in some cases Jesus will personally contact people on earth and perform miracles the descriptions in this book are not very believable. You have the same vague extremely short descriptions that you do in the Bible. There is no need of that in this day and age. If you were in Heaven or Hell your description needs to be much more detailed than just listing a name and saying you played. Was their furniture, where their houses, were there vehicles, did they eat food? If this is a purely non-physical world how did they live day by day and hour by hour.? What made this existence so wonderful? The only piece of wisdom that made common sense was that what you can do helping the sick is much more important than attending a brick and mortar church and sitting in a pew. The whole book seemed fabricated and full of lies. It was less a historical work than an evangelistic attempt to convert one to their beliefs. Of the many false prophets mentioned in Revelation, this is obviously just another one!
I love the premise of this book because it is built around the Word of God. If there is no scripture to back up what you are saying, then it just becomes words to me. This author uses many scriptures to back up what she is saying, and I applaud her for it. Even with all the scars and the closed eyelid, Aldo is a fine looking young man who shouldn't have any problems finding his bride.😀. I would like to encourage this beautiful family to keep up the good work and the fight.
What a testimony this family is writing to God's Glory and Love! What blessings God has poured out on this young man and his sibling and parents, and how it makes me want to feel the same love! I know God loves me because He chastened whom He loveth, and I've been much chastened in my lifetime. I know I have much to do yet and this writing has inspired me to go and do it.
The book does not match the title, in my opinion. However, i believe the book is way more useful than it would be if it had been true to the title. It's really about how to have an intimate personal and real relationship with God, in every way. That, to me, was incredibly useful. I would recommend the book to anyone who is seeking real, abundant life. This tells and shows you how.
This is a good book, but should be read as the second book to Retha McPherson's A Message from God. The author writes the book with the assumption that you have already read the first. This book's title is a little misleading as it does not give her son's experience of heaven and hell, but rather more on how to walk the walk. It is a good book, and should be read.
The moment I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. I read, cried and prayed. I truly felt the breath of the Holy Spirit, as I read this book. My prayers are with the entire family. I can't wait to see Aldo ministering all over the world.
Very few books have made such an impression on my heart. This book is indeed spirit born and spirit led.you will not want to miss a second of this anointed work.
I had trouble laying the book down. If you are a Christian like I am it showed how much work I need to do to really know Jesus. I am a baby in my faith. If you haven't accepted Jesus as your Savior, do so now. Aretha has shown you the path.
Retha McPherson and Aldo McPherson gave us their hearts when they wrote this novel. They are trying to help all of us with the facts as they have learned.
I absolutely loved Retha's and Aldo's books. After reading their first book, A message from God, I knew without a doubt that I had to read this one also. It does not disappoint. If anyone has any doubts that God is Alive, all they have to do is read the books. All glory, honor, and power belongs to our God.
What an inspiring book! The faith of this family is such a joy, as are their resulting strength and perseverance. God is good and His promises to us will be fulfilled. We only have to believe and everything else falls into place. This book carries that theme throughout.
i have watched a clip when this women was talking about her child's experience.it was touching and challenging,so i decided that if i find this book i will definately read it. i believe it will somehow change my relationship with God.
