Poetry. "Stan Apps' INFO RATION collects many of this young talent's very best pieces...I have seen them all--quasi list poems, sonnets in distortion, telepathic TV contraptions, poems written during nuclear attack on Los Angeles--and I pronounce them good"--Kevin Killian.

The wit and spiky wisdom of Apps's popular blog packaged in convenient poem form, with a fierce eye for “packaging,” in all its sad and slick guises, as the ontological condition of our age: “the bacteria have names like Yogurt Cup and Wiggles.”

INFO RATION mimics the clauses it uses as fodder: it equally distributes on all caps and thrusts, rationing byte by byte to pique; and yet it differs from our centrifugal news culture by doing what that culture can't: fill us in.

An everyday oddity. A gem of anti-austerity. An aching quirk. A soothing twitch. A mad, mad Mad Lib-ido. A stark-raving homily to a singular banality.
