This book proves, once and for all, that the killers of President Kennedy not only got away with murder, they got away with a government. The author is so sure of his conclusion that he is offering $25,000 to any person who can disprove the conclusions of his book. As of this date, out of thousands who have read the book, not one has accepted the offer, including the two foremost experts on the Kennedy assassination, Professor John McAdams of Marquette University, and independent researcher David Von Pein.
IMPOSSIBLE: THE CASE AGAINST LEE HARVEY OSWALD is a book in three volumes; this is the second volume.
Barry Krusch has a bachelors degree in Psychology from Emory University located in Atlanta Georgia, and a Masters degree in Education from Hunter college in New York City. Mr. Krusch also attended law school at the University of Georgia for a year.
After working as an investigator for Atlanta legal aid for four years and a paralegal for four years, Mr. Krusch has worked as an instructional designer, senior instructional designer, and project manager for the last twenty years. His client list includes Bank of America, Wachovia, American Express, Chase, Hartford Life, Knowledge Transfer International, Procter & Gamble, and many others. In 2002, he was responsible for the preliminary instructional design and editing of 52 audio books for Drive2Learn, Inc..
Mr. Krusch is also author of several books. His first book, The 21st Century Constitution, published in 1992 by Stanhope Press, was reviewed by New York Law School professor Richard Bernstein in his book Amending America. In that book, Professor Bernstein stated that the The 21st Century Constitution "may well be the most thoughtful and thorough reframing of the Constitution yet attempted." His second book, Would the Real First Amendment Please Stand Up? was published in 1996. When available in PDF format, it has received over 100,000 downloads since that time. According to the online directory Excite, "If you've got the time, we've got an online book for you. Barry Krusch examines the 1st Amendment in detail and attempts to put the Supreme Court's revisions of the Constitution into a form the layperson can understand. You should know this stuff."
As a result of his works on the Constitution, Mr. Krusch has appeared on the Tom Snyder radio show, as well as C-SPAN. He is also listed as an encyclopedia entry in the Encyclopedia Of Constitutional Amendments.
Mr. Krusch's latest book is Impossible: The Case Against Lee Harvey Oswald, divided into three volumes. This extensive work, over 1000 pages, demonstrates conclusively that the notion of a "lone assassin" in the Kennedy assassination is a complete myth, in no way justified by the evidence, and that therefore any case against Lee Harvey Oswald based on the notion of a lone assassin must completely fail.
His book is one of the most discussed topics in the history of the JFK assassination forum, perhaps for the following reason:
Impossible is paired with a thought experiment called The JFK Challenge. If anyone demonstrates before a unanimous virtual jury of 12 arbitrators that he has distorted or omitted information in a way that materially affects the conclusions of the book, Krusch will award them $25,000.
As of this date, out of thousands of readers of the book, and hundreds of visitors to Internet forums, no one has yet accepted the Challenge.
I didn't know a lot about the JFK assassination prior to reading this book and was excited to receive it as a First Reads winner. It is thoroughly researched, providing the reader with plenty of photographs, witness testimony, court records, diagrams, etc. but Krusch's bias sometimes negates the credibility of that information. I suggest doing a bit of research before you start this book so you can discern for yourself what information is most accurate. Krusch's main objective in writing is to create reasonable doubt that Oswald could have acted as a lone assassin, which I believe he successfully does. This book sparked my interest in the JFK assassination, and I will definitely be reading more on the subject!
At present I'm about half way through with this book and I own and plan to read the third volume. Very, very good. I have never read anything better. I won't spoil this read for anyone, but I strongly suggest everyone read these books. The cost is reasonable and the first volume and be obtained for free if purchased on the 22nd of any month.....update... I finished this one sometime ago. It is one the best books I've read on the subject. If you can do a better job than Barry I would be astounded. I will finish this review with the third volume.
Volume Two of Barry Krusch's legal defence of Lee Harvey Oswald continues to demolish the case set against him by the Warren Commission and the H.S.C.A. Warren concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in killing Kennedy and wounding Texas Governor John Connally, with just three shots, fired from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository. The author utilises a very wide range of past writers through Vols I & II. As he admits, the basic leg work has been done in the case by hundreds of Kennedy researchers. What is unique about this 2012 publication is Krusch's construction of a legal framework in regard to challenging the evidence that was placed in the two governmental reports. The reader is placed into a virtual jury, and the author tells us that in criminal law, innocence is presumed until guilt has been proven to the factfinder-a jury-beyond a reasonable doubt. After introducing the facts behind the shells found on the sixth floor in Vol I the dismantling of the prosecution case continues with the forensic evidence that blows away Arlen's ridiculous 'magic bullet' theory. Wounds on JFK and Connally are scrutinised along with eyewitness testimonies, acoustic evidence, Zapruder and other photographic evidence, Dealey Plaza evidence of missed shots, damage to the presidential limo and evidence of shots from other buildings as well as shots from the front. I haven't bothered to vote in the Amazon virtual jury, which readers are invited to do. I have long ago rejected Warren/H.S.C.A. and been involved with many highly recognised researchers on www.oswald-innocent.com Enough said!
As impatient as I got with volume 1 with the author setting up the framework, I now see why. Volume 2 makes it very clear that there was more than one shooter in this case. Again, there is a lot of mental gymnastics the author goes through to prove his point, but his points are pretty valid. So volume 1 is necessary in order to understand volume two of the author’s proof and confidence of the evidence.
When it's good, it's very good - that covers the sections regarding the medical evidence. But it's filled with too many unmerited Gotcha moments, occasionally dumb, terrible writing and a heap of unfounded claims - usually in the sections regarding the physical evidence. Exposing contradictions seems to be essential to the thrust of most arguments but then Krusch falls into the same trap. Just one example, concerning the testimony of Governor Connolly: at one point, Krusch dismisses Connolly's first-hand testimony where it harms his argument dismissively saying something along the lines of "what does Connolly really know, he had just been shot and was probably in shock"; yet mere pages later, Krusch depends on another statement from the Governor's testimony about the shooting to "prove" a separate point.
