Your Divine Fingerprint: The Force That Makes You Unstoppable

Rate this book
That which makes you different, makes you great!

When he was fourteen, Keith Craft looked at his right hand and realized that he had a fingerprint that nobody else had and that no one else ever would. God had made him unique. Today Keith Craft believes the glory of God is literally revealed in the individual fingerprint that He has given us. In Your Divine Fingerprint, Craft teaches you how to identify, amplify, and celebrate your uniqueness—and your connection to God.

You connect with God when you turn a defining moment into a miracle moment by making a decision and then taking action. When you understand the power you have to choose how a moment will affect you, you can then begin to define the moment instead of the moment defining you. And by taking action, you get nearer to fully living the greatness that God has given you and has given to no one else—the 1% you have that no one else has.

Pastor Keith Craft wants you to realize your greatness. He wants to give you the tools to overcome your blind spots, to find your winning edge, and to become the greatest thing you can be for the rest of the world—a servant leader. He wants to challenge you to believe not only that God created you but that God has a great purpose for your life. When you believe this, your life turns from natural to supernatural. And you start to live the blessed life that God wants you to live!

For the most part, I thought this was a good book. The author does seem genuinely interested in helping the reader uncover what is special about him/her. There are times, you get the feeling the author is only offering guidance through something he’s read, not experienced. The author doesn’t address how to overcome deep hurt, which quite often is what is holding a person back. The author paints his life as being very fortunate right from the beginning. Maybe he had experienced deep hurt, but he never indicates this in the book, which leaves the reader wondering if he truly understands what anguish and hurt is. Still, I have learned a great deal from reading this book and it has inspired me to be a better person.

Love the concept of a "Divine Fingerprint". Keith lays out a strategy for finding out your unique DNA (your 1%) and putting it to work(Think, Be, Do). He puts forth things that are keeping people from their greatness (Life Sentences and Blind Spots). Overall, the book lays out a way to be a peak performer and achieve what you want in life. The book could have been more effective if it where 1/2 the length. A lot of the content seemed repetitive and the anecdotes didn't add much except religious background. The overbearing push of the gospel instead of subtle undertones made it end a little too much like a prosperity gospel sermon. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water on this one, there is plenty of great content within.

This book forces you think about HOW you think & WHY you think things. Get the view on life that you are significant. Bring your best when you discover, develop, and deploy your uniqueness that brings value to your surroundings. There's no one else exactly like you.

It is written pretty much how he talks, with personal stories and historical ties in to what he's talking about to transition or support his points.

Thought provoking

I read the bulk of this book in route to a job interview - which helped me knock it out of the park.

I wanted to like this book because the concept of finding how God has uniquely designed you is, of course, super interesting but it felt more like a self-help book with a few mentions of God sprinkled in. There's virtually no scripture and most of the activities are pretty basic. I could see it being useful for someone who is at the start of their self-discovery and faith journey but just not for me.
