Time calls Bell the most exciting voice in the church today and, now with the Rob Bell Reader , readers can sample selections from Love Wins , Velvet Elvis , Jesus Wants to Save Christians , Sex God , and Drops Like Stars .

At age 28, Bell founded Mars Hill Bible Church in Michigan, and under his leadership it was one of the fastest-growing churches in America. In 2011, he was profiled in Time Magazine as one of their 100 most influential people. This book basically wrote about the challenging that Christian are now days facing, sometimes even when people tends to do the right things as a christian, we could still make mistakes, by not knowing so, and going through the book he explains the difficulties that we are walking through today, and trying to answer them in his own logic, well I must say he make good points, and explained everything very detail, it is definitely a book worth reading.
Rob Bell is a really really effective writer. I disagree with some of his theology, but basically everything apart from Love Wins I believe most evangelicals would like. That may be saying too much--at least what was presented in this little tester book. He's a wonderful storyteller. I'll be checking out some more of his works.
A good place to sample some of Bell's stuff; however, if you were to simply start with one of his books and read it through to completion you will have done better than to just get an all-too-brief look at a few things.
