A young man, killed by accident, finds the afterlife as frustrating and as exhilarating as any he could have imagined. From New York City to Ireland to the Underworld, his journey is one of self-discovery and becomes a quest for true love. But what shadowy beings hunt him? Can he truly be free and at peace? And what is beyond his own beyond?
This debut novel by Thomas Howe is a winding exploration of loss and life, light and dark, friendship and love, laughter and tears, all framed with thoughtful characters and otherworldly settings.
This story was really hard to follow at first, but things did become clearer the further I read...it's a very strange story, following the "afterlife" of a 19 year old boy who died in Manhattan, but all in all I really liked the story, and the ending was totally unexpected and very cool!
