I recently had the pleasure of meeting the Block family and some of the awesome people that work for Buffalo Exchange. The other night I decided to read this book. Sure, there are some great pieces of advice for business folks. However, what truly inspired me was the 40ish love story between the Blocks. It was a sincere, beautiful story of mutual respect and an inspiring romance. It felt like I actually got to know Spencer Block even though he unfortunately left us a few years ago. I can't recommend this book highly enough. It's an easy to read collection of short essays that read like journal entries. Loved it.

I like business books that balance the philosophical and practical, but this one could have used a bit more structure. Very disappointing. Still recommended to anyone in the fashion retail world, but otherwise a miss.
