Rachel Morgan has been the bane of Tucker's existence since she moved to Brant County. As the local police chief, it's his job to maintain law and order, but when a background check on the lovely Ms. Morgan hits a dead end, Tucker wonders what she's hiding.
Rachel is sitting on the roadside, cursing her broken down car, the stupidity of stilettos, and blind dates when Tucker comes to her rescue. She knows he doesn't like her, but spending the night in her car isn't an option.
The last thing Tucker expects is to be attracted to his nemisis. But when they both end up at Dixie's Bar, he spends the night watching her instead of the football game...
I have always been passionate about books, but it wasn't until several years ago that I decided to quit my day job to follow my bliss. Since then I have written eight book under two pen names, all have the requisite HEA endings, but some are just a little naughtier than others.
I'm obsessed with writing. In fact, being handcuffed to my keyboard sounds like fun. Did I mention the fact that I write erotic romance? Enough said. When I do take a break, it's to spend time with the two, that's right, two men in my life... my husband and son.
I didn't like this one as much as the other, mostly because of all the secrets and the mention of abuse and child abuse, it turned my stomach silly. Tucker was an asshole, a really huge asshole, through the start of the novel, not the kind of man I'd give a second chance to.
