Fog Island. Ungerer, Tomi. 2013.

Fog Island enhances the Seashore by showing a group of people who make their living by the seashore and on the sea. They Irish people are afraid and respect the sea. Seashore talks about different plants, animals, and how the sea gives back energy and nutrients. The people in Fog Island describe in a story these concepts.
The text structures are cause and effect and established sequential timeline. The book describes how one life is bound with the another in a web instead of a circle. KWL What I Know, what I want to know and what I learned.

This book is an informational book done with real photos. They talk about the plants, animal, and land. This would go great with a lesson about beach animals. You could compare the beach animals with animals in the forest.

This is an informative read, but also fun, quick, and easy to understand. It has great pictures, too!
