I adored this book. It's nice to think there could be a Gregory in this world. Greg gets lost in the forest after not listening to his father to wait for him and they would explore the woods together. He's 12 years old and thought he'd be ok. Greg realizes he's lost, he's hungry getting tired and losing daylight. He thinks he hears something, but shrugs it off as animals or something. He hears what he thinks is a little kid crying, he looks around and follows the sound and there right before his eyes is a little girl, no more than 4 or 5 years old. As scared as he was he knew he had to be brave. He walked up to the little girl and asked he name, she told him Mary Elizabeth. She threw herself at him and almost knocked him over. Mary Elizabeth told him how she got lost. He promised her he would get her home. Mary Elizabeth told him her daddy says never break a promise and Greg told her he would never break his promise. He found his way to a road where a forest ranger noticed them and brought them back to headquarters and called their parents who were dying to find their children. His dad walked in first and as happy he was to find his son he made sure Greg stayed Mary Elizabeth's hero. Mary Elizabeth's parents came in next, when they were ready to leave she ran over to give Gregg a big hug and had him promise to marry her when they get older. Remember Gregg told Mary Elizabeth he would never break a promise to her, with that at the back of his mind he promised her he would wait for her. Gregory does exactly that. As they grew up they both remember their promise even thou their parents and friends try to tell them there are no fairytales endings in life. I have told enough, download this book and see if fairytales like this can happen for Gregory and Mary Elizabeth. There is so much more to this book, romance , intrigue, family, love. Thank you for sharing your skills with us Regina. I totally recommend this book and all her others, there's to many to mention.

"A Very Sweet, Dreamy Love Story"

I love Author Regina Puckett's stories. This is the first full-length novel I've read by her. This story takes place in her home state of Tennessee, in a small, friendly town. Twelve-year old Gregory Blackwell is in the woods. He's heading for his cabin where his father left him to drive to town to get supplies. He couldn't wait for his dad to return, and headed for the woods. He stops at a small, colorful creek and sits and sketches some artwork. When done, he's lost his bearings and is wondering which way to go. It's turning dark, and he's hungry and wishes he had stayed in the cabin waiting for dad. It gets darker and as he fumbles along he hears crying. Little four-year old Mary Elizabeth Fields is lost, too. She went into the woods to pick flowers for her mama. Gregory takes her hand and leads her out of the woods when soon they are rescued. Little Mary Elizabeth asks Gregory if he will marry her when she is older like her mom. She pleads, "Please wait for me." How else can Gregory respond, "Mary Elizabeth, I promise to wait for you." And in her heart and mind, she will always believe that a promise is always kept. While she is in high school, they chance to meet up for only a few minutes at the junior prom. Some of her classmates start bullying her because she didn't have a date, but Gregory is there to save her again. Do you think he'll have to make another promise as she's still faced with five more years of education? This story is simply written and easy to read. It is not an erotic romance, but a very, very sweet love story. The story captivated me and there is a mystery here, too. Take a chance on love, and read this book.

LOVE IS A PROMISE KEPT is a wonderful romance story which I read in a just a couple of days - it was hard to put done! It starts off when a young girl asks a boy to marry her after she gets lost in the woods and he finds her and takes her home. The boy promises to wait for her to grow up and when she does, he comes back to find her. They both still love each other, but as with all great romances, there are hurdles and obstacles to overcome before they can finally be together. I thought that this book was sweet romance at its very best. A beautiful story!

This is a cute, sweet love story. It is written with love and humor and also has more danger in it. This story is well worth the read. The author, Regina Puckett did a good job on this story. Love the plot and the promise is awesome. The narrator delivered a well sounding story with multiple voices which are smooth and easy on the ears.

I received this book as a gift in exchange for a honest review.

I don't usually read romances, however, I was given this by the author and I really enjoyed it. It was very well written, with an intriguing beginning, followed by a sweet and delightful romance. It includes all the right ingredients for this kind of book and I would recommend it, even to those who don't target this genre.

It had good, believable characters that bring to life this charming romance.
