It's been a minute since I've been able to get back to Aaron and his kiss but trust me, as soon as I started reading my subconscious dropped right into place and filled in all the details that had been put on hold until I could get back. 'My Warrior Fae' is book nine of Kathi S. Barton's "Aaron's Kiss" series and this one is powerful! Not just in magic but in chemistry, emotion, and loyalty. If you've read the blurb then you know all Tess was going to do was go to the bank and obtain a loan to buy a vehicle to get back and forth to work. That's all! Even after they turned her down for the full loan Tess told the loan officer, who was a wolf, there was going to be a robbery from two men that were already in the bank and six more waiting outside to come in. After all, is said and done, Tess had put down all but two of the criminals without any of the customers knowing of her involvement. Unfortunately, in the process, she's been stabbed and shot several times with the prognosis not looking good. Bradley tried to get in touch with Aaron to save the woman's life but it's still too early for him to get there. After wracking his brain, he realizes there's an unknown vampire watching the goings-on and asks him to help heal the woman that not only saves the citizens of the town but members of his pack as well. Nathaniel, an FBI agent who has been tracking one of the bank robbers, declines stating he doesn't want to be bonded to anyone and he's leaving soon to return to Virginia. Aaron arrives about that time and strongly suggests, as he commonly does when he refuses to accept no for an answer, that Nathaniel changes his mind. That's when this highly charged and sometimes emotional story begins to unfold. I have to admit, even though he had his moments, I can't honestly say Nathaniel is one of my favorite heroes. Truly, I think he was a jerk more than half the time and would have loved to see Sara get ahold of him, but that's just my opinion. Tess is a whiz-bang and a GREAT heroine and the storyline was stellar.

This has to be my new second favorite of all the books I have read so far in the Kiss series. Ms. Barton, you did it with this one. Such unexpected surprises hit me and I was all grins from there on. I loved this!!! This is the story about Tess and Nathaniel. Tess was at a bank trying to get a loan when she felt trouble heading her way. She was able to warn them about the impending danger and take out the suspects as soon as they were inside the bank. Nathaniel had been following the bank robbers as he was an FBI agent and showed up at the scene after Tess had handled it. She had been shot and he was her hope of surviving the wound. This was his mate and he knew it. But he didn’t want to accept it as he liked being free to do what he wanted, when he wanted to. The relationship is shakey in the beginning but thanks to those around, all colors of the world become clear.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I can say that Ms. Barton is very gifted in her details of her writing about the people and especially the scenery. I swear I would have never thought a vampire story could make me laugh so much each and every time I read the stories she has written. What a masterpiece and gift Ms. Barton is to us readers.

I have to say how much I appreciate that you write stories with tall women! And you still make them feminine and beautiful without the need to make them the bad girl. I loved Tess even if she was a bit stubborn and pigheaded! Thank you again for another wonderful story that made me want to move to Ohio and request to be apart of Aaron's Kiss.

Well, well, well. Does anyone else think it is interesting that The Queen of Magic seems to know more about what is going on than she lets on. I'm thinking she is a trouble maker, yes sir, she has some explaining to do. Lets start with Tess Knight, she has been dealt quite a crappy hand by those she promised to protect. She is strong, dangerous, mysterious and not what she seems. Now add in that the fates are messing with her life and things are going to get interesting. Nathanial is a vampire chasing a bad guy across the country. He is not looking for complications, he doesn't want a mate but he would be happy to fool around with her until he has to leave. Being rejected by your mate is devastating, rejecting your mate makes you an idiot and fixing it is not going to be easy. There was so much information in this storyline and it was fascinating. Lots of new and interesting characters to tease and tantalize. The twists and turns are really something else and boy are you going to be surprised. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Warriors Who Can Fly!

Nathaniel is a vampire in the beginning of this story & later changes into something else; Tess is a Warrior Fae in disguise as she looks human when they 1st meet after a bank robbery. Tess save all the good people/others & killed all of the bank robbers but in the process she does take a bullet to the stomach & if she was going to live than some vampire had to give her some blood & Aaron blackmails Nathaniel into giving her some of his blood. At first their relationship is a little wobbly but then as they get to know each other mostly thru sex they become a mated & bonded pair. Tess while in Avalone a place near Mel's castle overhears a plot against the Queen (aka Mel) & Tess then makes plans to make sure that the Queen doesn't get killed. Tess at one time worked for Mel & with Sara but then was exiled by the Queen & even though Tess doesn't like Mel she still takes measures to prevent Mel from being killed. This is a HEA story & an excellent one too; but you will need to read the book to find out what happens next.

My Warrior Fae is Book 9 in the Aaron's Kiss Series -- Tess Knight wanted to just get a loan to help buy a car but what she got instead was getting caught up in a bank robbery. She is magical in a way that she can hide in the shadows and doing that is able to take care of the robbers with no one getting hurt but herself. Nathaniel Tremont is a vampire and works for the FBI and has been tracking the robbers. When he finds out they have all been killed he just wants to go and be by himself. He has been selected to heal Tess and as he does he knows that she is his mate. He doesn't want this and neither does Tess. Things are really rocky for them. Doe Nate accept Tess as his mate? Does Tess accept her fate? This is a great read by Kathi S Barton and would recommend to everyone as a must read.

Tess and Nathaniel are both so stubborn and headstrong characters, they can't see the love they could have right in front of their face.

Tess is the last of her kind warrior fae, that has just been trying to make her way in the human world. When a bank robbery occurs at the bank she's trying to obtain a loan from, gets her injured Bradley can only think to get her to Aaron's and fast.

Nathaniel has been tracking down the robbers, but discovers they are all dead when he finally catches up with them. When he's selected to heal Tess he discovers she's his mate, the one he's never wanted to find.

But there is more to Tess than anybody knows. When Nathaniel finally learns what all she is will he continue to reject their mating bond?

I just imagining their appearance when they go fae all over.. with those markings and beautiful wings.. that must be awesome.. in a sexy way.. ;)

Tess is a Warrior Farie, the last of her kind. Nathaniel is a vampire. A very old vampire, and an FBI agent.
They meet when Tess stops a bank robbery, and is shot. Nathaniel gives her blood and saves her life.
Now the fun begins.
Tess (as it turns out), is also hiding from Mel (Queen) and working for the fates. They also find that once again Mel and her kingdom are in danger.
This is by far the best series that Ms Barton has written. There are so many twists and turns to this story.
It’s definitely one you won’t be able to put down.

This book and the entire Aaron's Kiss Series has fascinating characters, excitement, action, and romance. They are all easy to follow and flow very nicely. As is every book this author writes. I love how each character has a detailed background and makes in an appearance in other books through out the series. Must read!

I love that teas was a warrior and she did what she had to do to save her queen and innocent people. he was a fbi agent who was tracking the bad guys when they meet. he was kind of a duck but one that grew on you. he mad her cry but then made it up to her.
