She was raised by a family that places material possessions and social standing before anything else. Including their daughter.
After suffering a personal blow, she decides to live life on her own terms, but to do that, she has to step away from everything she knows. Needing help, she reaches out to the only man who has ever looked past the expensive clothes to see the woman she’s desperately trying to become.
He has grease stains on his hands.
Shawn Watson, known only to his MC brothers as Tank, lives life on his own terms.
Growing up in an abusive home, he never saw a way out until he’s offered an opportunity to escape, and he doesn’t hesitate to agree. However, the memories of his past still haunt him.
Until a woman he barely knows asks him for help, and he begins to want things he never has before.
But all their fears are forced to the surface when Jane becomes a target for one of the Sinners’ biggest enemies. Tank finds himself racing against the clock to save her, proving that the chances they were both willing to take may be too risky.
Jennifer Hanks is a busy author and mom. Her stories are contemporary romance and romantic suspense, all with the underlying message of the power and strength in love. She’s also a sucker for a Happily-Ever-After. Her love of reading and books in general started at a very young age and has steadily grown into a love of writing as well. She admits to being addicted to all things romance and has no plans of quitting her habit. Jennifer lives in Pennsylvania with her two children. When she’s not reading or writing, she can be found with her kids at their various activities. Her house is frequently filled with any combination of her children’s friends, nieces, nephews and a variety of pets.
This book was one of my most anticipated reads for 2023, and Jennifer Hanks did not disappoint! Tank and Jane's story had me glued the entire time! There is a mix of everything in this book that kept me from wanting to put it down.
These two are complete opposites. Tank is ex-military and is now part of a motorcycle club. Jane comes from a rich family where her job is to do as she's told, no questions asked. He's tattoos and cuss words. She's prim and proper. They shouldn't work yet they do, and they do SO WELL!
First, if you haven't read Wasted Time, go read that first because watching Tank and Jane's first interaction through another character's POV is EVERYTHING!
In this story, we get to see what made Jane get to her breaking point in her own POV before she first encounters Tank and Race.
Now Jane's trying to find herself and the person she seeks out for help is Tank.
These two are equally fun and hot to read! Not only does Jane charm Tank, but she also charms the entire Sinners MC as well as the New Hope community.
There is also the suspenseful part that continues through each book (but not entirely necessary to read each to understand - the author gives enough so the reader isn't totally missing out). This time, Tank and Jane are involved, and I love the little plot twist that the author throws in there.
I also can't wait to see what's in store for Ritz and what happens with Hawk! The teasers from this book have me wanting their stories SO BAD!
I highly, HIGHLY recommend this series as well as the other series Jennifer Hanks has written. (They are all from the same community/town, so they make appearances throughout depending on the story.) I'm equally addicted to each of her series!
I want to preface this review by telling all you readers that Jennifer Hanks will forever be one of my comfort read authors. From the very first book of hers that I randomly found when I wanted to get back into reading (Lucy -Dimarco Series), to this most recent release, I’ve been addicted. Are all of Jennifer Hanks’ books romances? Obviously. Do they all have spice? Ohhh, absolutely. But, do they have plot and substance?? Without a doubt! I read a lot of romance books. Like a lot… But I have to say, not a lot of authors always include a full plot, substance, spice, romance, good banter, and all the necessary background details. Sometimes it feels like reading a whole season of a tv series in one book because we get so much information, but it doesn’t feel like too much or rushed. Seriously, read her books. You’ll get addicted quick!
Now for the actual review-
Jennifer Hanks is back at it again with another 5 star read!
The only thing missing was some solid advice from none other than Jack Dimarco. But that’s okay because our other MC guys had some great advice!
Tank and Jane are total opposites. She’s the good girl, princess that has had everything handed to her (don’t worry, she’s not stuck up like you might assume). She wants out of that life and no way to escape. Enter Tank. The motorcycle club member with a dirty mouth, tattoos, and a little something else…. You’ll see. What happens after he saves this damsel in distress when she gets lost traveling down a deserted road with nothing in sight?
Until you read for yourself, here’s a sneak peak at our main characters-
Oh Tank… *fans self* I’m sure I’ve said this in multiple reviews by now, but I wasn’t sure what to expect from Tank. He’s definitely more than meets the eye. I thought he’d be the usual- possessive, overprotective, caveman… and don’t get me wrong because he is all those things, but he also has many different layers for us to discover throughout the book. Mostly, I love how unbelievably patient Tank is with Jane. He may get frustrated with her decision making process- because who wouldn’t-but he doesn’t push her. I love that he shows her her options and tries to get her to see what she’s missing without being controlling. And along the way he discovers just what he’s been missing too.
Jane has been sheltered her whole life. Growing up extremely privileged, she had been allowed to do very little, and rarely anything for herself. She doesn’t know who she is or what she wants out of life since she’s always been told how her life would be. In some ways, Jane can be very relatable. It’s hard to know what your passions are and even harder to spin them into a career you love. Especially when you’ve never been allowed to have your own opinions or make decisions. We get to see a lot of growth in Jane’s character from start to finish. I admire her courage that not many others in her position would have, let alone act on.
I can’t wait for you to read their happily ever after! Caution: This story will have you smiling, laughing, worrying, and blushing! This is one you won’t want to miss!
All the money in the world does not guarantee, nor does it bring you happiness, no one knows this better than Jane Williams. Despite the fact that she’s a wealthy young woman, who was raised within a wealthy family, she’s knows exactly how it feels to overlooked and cast aside, her family’s the type that place material possessions and value social standing before anything else.. including her.
After one particular personal blow, Jane decides the time has come to step away from all she’s known and start living life on her own terms. In order to do so, she needs help, and turns to the only man who’s ever looked beyond the expensive clothes and saw her for who she really really is, and who she wants to be, her own person.
When Shawn Watson aka Tank to his fellow MC brothers stopped to help a damsel in distress one day he never thought he’d begin wanting things he hadn’t before, but that’s exactly what happens the more he gets to know said damsel, Jane. As their friendship grows, feelings do too, Tank’s reluctant to admit how he feels though which sends Jane fleeing, straight into the sight of one of the Sinners’ biggest enemies who quickly makes her a target. Now it’s a race against the clock as to whether or not Tank can save Jane, and any chance they may have of a future together.
Is the thought of two individuals from completely different backgrounds too risky a proposal? Or is it a case of opposites really do attract with Jane and Tank? But most of all will love help heal the pain both these individuals have had to endure from their pasts?
Jennifer Hanks has smashed it out the ballpark with this, the fourth book from her Sinners MC series. A great storyline with a fantastic host of characters, she didn’t disappoint, now the wait is on for Ritz and hopefully (fingers crossed) Rachel's story.
Risky Proposal opens with Jane walking out on her sister's wedding, where her sister is marrying Jane's ex-fiance. Tank comes to her rescue on the side of the road, and thus begins an unusual friendship. Jane comes from a very wealthy family where her sole role in the family is to marry well. Tank is completely different, he has no contact with his toxic family and encourages Jane to find her own path.
I'm not usually a fan of heroines that come from money, but despite her background Jane is anything but entitled. It was a little hard to imagine she got to her age and was as naive in the ways of the world as she is, but I still really enjoyed this romance - loved reading along as Jane figures out what she wants in life and what she is capable of and how Tank fits in with this. Tank also has some growing to do, and there are some twists and turns that happen before they find their Happy Ever After.
I really enjoyed this story. We already know the hotness that is Tank and the rest of the Sinners club family and this time we are introduced to Plain Jane. When these two meet there's chemistry but Hank is soooo far out of Jane's world that she doesn't know what to do. How does a grown ass woman in her 30's have no real life, no friends, no idea about what she actually wants or likes and is still ruled by her mother? Jane is on the brink and meeting some real people who see her for who she actually is life changing. Tank and his family show Jane what the true meaning of self and love is all about.
Jennifer Hanks gave us another solid read. I am always so giddy when she teases a new story. This is Tank's story. He meets Jane unconventionally, they are total opposites, coming from completely different backgrounds, but even in that short time, the connection is strong. I love the way JH intertwines the Sinners and the Dimarco worlds together. Jane lives this life she doesn't want but doesn't know anything else but that life. She knows she isn't happy and the betrayal by her sister and her ex just may have nudged her over to make these changes. This is where Tank helps her on her new journey and their feelings for each other grow. Loved their story and can't wait for more!!
I honestly would never have thought I’d like reading about a motorcycle club but Jennifer Hanks opened a whole new world got me. I love this group of big hearted good guys. I’ve been looking forward to Tank’s story for a while and his book was worth the wait. I loved watching Jane grow as a person and figure out her life. Tank’s backstory about his “mom” and their relationship made me teary-eyed in the best way. This group of guys grew up in less than ideal environments but have grown up to be such great men.
This book sucked me in from the start. I liked how Tank and Jane met and how from that point forward he was a port in the storm for her. Jane was worn down by the expectations of her wealthy family and very isolated as well. I'd say my favorite part of this book was the patience that Tank exuded while Jane navigated her way towards a new life, and besides that aspect of the H, he was just a stand-up brother in the MC and also in how he handled a couple plot twists in the story that weren't related to the h.
Money cannot buy happiness which Jane knows all too well. She comes from a very wealthy family but is used to the men cheating on their spouses and doing whatever is needed to save face. I loved how she rebelled when she walked out on her sister's wedding. Little did she know how Tank would change her life for the better and teach her how to live on her own. I also loved seeing Tank's relationship with his mother of the heart.
Tank and Jane's book was everything to me! Tank was quite a surprise as he was so caring and so amazing to help Jane get her life to where she wanted it to be. He help where he could, but I think he also just let her figure it out and stumble through her own was as well and that was helping her learn she could live her own life! Such a beautiful love story with world of characters you just want to meet in real life!
I've been waiting for their story since the last chapter of book 3 on the Sinners MC. It's an opposites attract between a woman that grow up privileged and protected and a man who never thought he was deserving of a loving relationship. And it's always wonderful to go back to New Hope and this beautiful community Hanks has created.
Jennifer Hanks knocked this book right out the park. I absolutely love this series and the book. This was Tank's and Jane's and it was beautifully written. I hated Jane's mother and her father especially her father. Jane ask Tank for help and it was beautiful to read. Can't wait to read the sinner mc book. Find out what happens then pick up your copy today

Tank and Jane. Can they ever cross the enormous divide their social standing creates?
Jane's rich. Her parents have plans for her. She's expected to live every minute to meet their expectations, including being a bridesmaid while her sister marries her ex-fiance and marrying a man she barely knows. She been so groomed she doesn't know how to escape. Her first act of rebellion is to run from her sister's wedding. Tank picks her up on the side of the road and buys her a hotel room. She goes back to her life but Tank has made an impression.
When life seems unbearable again, Jane finds herself looking for Tank to "pay him back". She so enjoys her time with him and isn't even very put off by club life. Tank is fascinated by Jane but can he help her change?
These two are so good together but it's hard for them to find a happy medium that leads to a happy ending. Of course, there's some serious criminal elements at play adding to the personal conflict.
Hanks gives the reader a good story, with interesting characters and a lot of strife to keep the pages turning.
An excellent read, absolutely loved Tank and Jane’s story ❤️❤️❤️ A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
