8 books17 followersBack in high school, I was encouraged by an amazing teacher to pursue writing. He thought I had a real talent for it, and I did what pretty much any teenager does when an adult gives them advice.
I ignored him.
Twenty years later, I was tired of a corporate life and chose to get back into writing. I joined a local comedy troupe.
And I wrote.
Writing sketches is a lot of fun. Watching the skits you've written come to life through the actors on stage is amazing. I was hooked instantly, but unfortunately the troupe wasn't able to continue performing.
I wanted a career in writing, so I went back to university and finished my degree. I learned how to write professionally, and I'm happy to have made it my career.
And then I found the Kindle Select Program.
Watching you, the reader, take the time to download my stories, rate them, and then come back to see if there's anything else is better than any drug in the world ( I asked Charlie Sheen, as I don't have direct experience in this arena...)
While I'm still pretty early in days of KDP, I'm looking forward to the ebook world and the possibilities it brings to the indy author. My thanks to Amazon for making this process easy, and my thanks to you for continuing to read.

These five shorts by Jason Finnerty are pretty dark.
I was initially going to purchase Finnerty's short, "FotoGone." When I saw it was part of "Bad Decisions", I opted for the whole collection.
Since the synopses are provided above, I'll spare you further elaboration. There's nothing more I can add without spoiling the plots.
"I Blame Stephen King" is particularly timely because of his recent commentary on guns, violence, and American culture, called oddly enough, "Guns." It and "FotoGone" are my favorites in this collection.
"FotoGone" seems like a great idea for an app. Who wouldn't love an app that erases all evidence of a bad decision. This story's turns get darker as it progresses. It left an impression on me.
Jason Finnerty is expert at setting moods. This collection is perfect nighttime reading. ...unless you're the type that lies awake at night.

I received this copy of Bad Decisions (A Collection of Short Stories) by Jason Finnerty as a gift after I read and reviewed two of his short stories, Blame It on Stephen King and FotoGone—A Very Bad App, both of which appears in this collection of Jason’s short stories. It’s ironic that Jason title that short story Blame It on Stephen King because his approach to story telling very. much reminds me of the early Stephen King novels. FotoGone—A Very Bad App reminded me of a similar story Rod Serling aired on his TV show, Outer Limits.
There are six original stories in this collection and everyone of them is a winner. Everyone of them will have your heart pounding like you were reading the best of Edgar Allan Poe or watching the best of Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
Jason Finnerty is the new master of the short horror story genre.

Nice collection.
Well written and the pacing was quick. The horror was visceral and nasty. I hope to read more from this author.
