Not bad, but more for people who are new to the show. I would recommend it to them only as I think it explains a lot of what has happened in series one and two.
It is filled with basic facts about the main characters and the creatures in the show. It also mentions the Royals and the mysterious key that Nick was given.
The show is in season 5 now and I felt it was good to go back over the earlier creatures. Some of them I had forgot about and it made me want to watch those episodes again.
I read this interactive guide on my Kindle Fire, which was a good platform. I became interested in Grimm because it is filmed in my adopted home, Portland, Oregon. But I also enjoy the series for the writing and acting. Since I have watched every episode, the guide didn't have any surprises, but it was fun to revisit characters and episodes.
I did not like that the Guide kept referring to Grimms as profilers and to Vessen as reformed. Anyone who has watched the series knows that description is inaccurate and misleading. I am not sure why the authors chose those terms and used them repeatedly. I felt like the Guide dumbed-down the concept to make it mainstream or palatable. I think it was unnecessary and misleading.
Otherwise the Guide was well-done and a fast read.
This is a MUST HAVE for all fans of the television show. As the introduction states, if you haven't experienced Grimm before, what are you waiting for?!
This book is very interactive--full of 3D, rotatable models of the creatures featured in the show; many pages of the Grimm journal; explore Aunt Marie's trailer; etc. This Essential Guide is full of information that will keep you busy and entertained for hours at a time. I highly recommend it.
This is great book for fans of the hit TV show. Although it consists of information from season one and two, the advanced fans will enjoy this book as well. It has photos of the trailer, tea shop, and Wesens with details. Although it’s mostly photos of the books of Wesens, it does have some information on the main characters.
Good summary of Season 1 - some of the text for the Creatures section is simply a duplication of the Grimm Journal entries, but in general this book serves as a great reference for Grimm creatures introduced in the 1st season.
This is a "MUST HAVE" for any Grimmster or anyone that has just started watching the show. It's a who's who of the Wesen world. It will also enlighten you to the true Bothers Grimm Fairytale's that did not have a happy ending for all!
If you love the TV series, you'll love this little guide. It has it all, from episode guides to creature gallery's. A must for fans, full of great visuals and behind the scene pics.
I love that studios put things like this out. That being said, you can tell it was made rather quickly as there are quick a few spelling errors, and nothing particularly extra that you wouldn't get from the series. Still, it is a nice 'Thank You' to the fans that it is free.
5 stars. Absolutely loved this book and it was so helpful with understanding some of the wesens. I love the Grimm series, absolutely recommend watching the series and getting this book.
I love, love, love this show and this is the perfect "companion" book. It really goes in depth and let's you get to know the characters as well as the creatures.
