Liz Adams, author of the erotic fairy tale Alice’s Sexual Discovery in a Wonderful Land, lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. I don't know about reading it, but *whew* I loved writing it! Erotica must be the only genre where editing isn't a chore, it's a delicious experience I get to enjoy over and over again. Lol
“If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all.” ...and I must truthfully say. This is a book that you can read over and over again!
Holy Fucking Cow! What did I just read?!
Well, I am about to tell you regarding this little journey I have set out on in the past few weeks. It was daring, bold, adventurous, delicious, hot, consuming, intense and kinky! Haha. I know!
Well you see I was a girl in red who was in love. With a wolf. Who was super hot and sexy by the way!!! And he loved me. But we couldn't be together. Because of our status in the village and who we were as a person...or a wolf. It was a roller coaster ride and every now and then my Big Bad Wolf didn't mind in experimenting a little with me or making me faint with that big, luscious tongue of his.... And the journey still continues but to know more – you have got to read this erotic short story!
I can’t say I normally wouldn't go for an erotic short fairy tale story because I do. I love them. Isn't it every little girls dream to have the prince on the white horse come to her rescue? To fall in love with a rich, handsome prince and live happily ever after in a large castle?
Well now that we are older and these feelings usually don’t change...much! What we want now is still a Prince, who is dark, brooding, dangerous and mysterious. And what better way to find them is through Erotic Fairy tales. They just arouse you and take you back to that fairytale dream you once had with a TWIST! And what a wonderful twist it is!
With Liz Adams short erotica Amy ‘Red’ Riding’s Hood you will certainly be taken to up high into the clouds and when you come back down don’t be surprised if you have a wet knickers...If you know what I mean! Haha *wink wink*

Now don't tell me these men aren't worth to have for a short, sweet, seductive while?
Well firstly, let me just say that I have never really been interested in rehashed works of the classic fairytale, its not something that has ever hit my genre list, but that all changed a couple of days ago when I was happily browsing through the erotic forum and up popped a Beta Reader request from a writer named Liz Adams. After reading the Synopsis, and being an avid fond reader of erotica fiction, I thought 'why not'. Oh my, what a great decision that turned out to be.
Little Amy Riding is like any other 'normal' girl, firstly she's human. Secondly, she has been coddled by her two prejudiced parents, and third, she has raving hormones and a raging burning fire that wasn't abated by 'vacant' Vincent, her first crush due to a, well, how can we put it? Oh yes..... A premature event! So, realistically she realises that to stoke these hidden desires she has to look at the next best thing, and that comes in the form of her childhood friend, Sean.
Sean is a little different, shunned by normal village folk, and i.e. Mr and Mrs Riding for his 'abnormal' animalistic ways, knows that any relationship with a human could prove very difficult, until he reunites with 'Red'. For four weeks they spend every evening together, learning about each-other and becoming very close friends once again. When friendship starts to form into something more, Red and Sean then make the 'easy' decision to take things further. Red is a virgin, and it's Sean's responsibility to prove to her that he is more than just a Lycan, but also a man worth her love and her virginity.
This story is HOT! It's the perfect before bed, naughty guilty pleasure that will give you sweet dreams and wish you were wearing that skimpy red cloak and had a BIG BAD WOLF of your own. A well worthy 4 stars!
A variation of the traditional Red Riding Hood story and most definitely for adults. Here the wolf is a lycan or wolf man called Sean. I liked the way Liz shows prejudice of the humans against a specie, the fictitious Lycan, and believe themselves the superior race and how they live in an apartheid society...though more could have been done to show how bad it was for Lycan and mixed marriage and mixed breeds. Rings bells of recent human history and how wrong it's been whether one race over another or one colour over another. This starts well, starts to build some depth of characters, has a few erotic sex scenes, and a hopeful premise that goes awfully wrong. The ending, however, in my opinion could have been a lot better. Yes for BDSM fans, Sean is Dom and controls all when eventually the planned virginity loss takes place. The weakness lies in what happens to the Aunt Carmen and where her sequence ends and a dealing with parental prejudices. In fairy tales there is resolution one way or another to conflicts before any consideration to HEA/HFN. This leaves it in the air. I considered this for 3 or 4stars and with weak points to potential good story have it as 3 star.
One thing that disgruntled me. I buy a story that has a stated KB or MB content, or page numbers. Then find that almost half the believed content isn't the story I bought but great tracts of another story. Here Ms Adams has chapters 3 to 6 inclusive of her Alice story. Now I have read Alice' Sexual Discovery in Wonderland and think it excellent and just a 5 star read. I do object to finding it taking up almost half of the content of what I thought was the Red story. Please writers, a paragraph to advertise other work is enough. Every reader I've spoken to hates this and most never read the free chapter or section offered. It also makes me negate my reviews somewhat!
First off, I tend to be critical of erotica. Most of what I find comes off as so tacky that I cannot find the erotic nature of the story appealing; rather I find it laughable. When I picked up "Amy 'Red' Riding's Hood," I thought I was walking into one of those laughable stories. Not only was it erotic romance, it was themed after a fairy tale with lycanthropy and ridiculously horny girls. I got comfy and readied myself for some derisive giggles.
Boy, was I wrong.
At first I definitely thought it was going to be the disappointment I was expecting it to be. I wasn't able to suspend my belief right from the get-go. Once the story was well underway, however, I found myself immersed in Amy's tale. The way Amy's relationship with her werewolf love interest was delivered and developed was perfectly tuned to the characters. Expertly paced story-telling combined with genuinely intriguing love scenes had me wishing the story didn't end so soon!
Liz Adams is a huntress. She snares you with words and holds you down, refusing to let you go even after you've finished reading. Each sentence reads as if it were meant to be there; each word so precisely delivered that you soon stop reading and start envisioning the story she delectably unfolds before your eyes. If you're a cynic like me — or better yet, a lover, not a fighter — read about Amy's erotic awakening. You may be pleasantly surprised.
I thoroughly enjoyed Liz Adams take on this classic fairytale. I enjoyed the charcters, and the sex was hot and steamy just how I love my erotice romances to be. I will for sure be on the look out for more books from this author as I really enjoyed her style. I literally could not put this book down. It was a short read and I had wished that it was longer. If you like erotica and shapeshifters, do not miss out on this book. Such an intriguing outlook on the tale of "Red Riding Hood", and it was so cool how the author even included some of the famous lines of the classic. She implemented "My what big teeth you have", perfectly and it brought a smile to my face. Loved this short story and I will be on the look out for more from Liz Adams!
Where is the rest of the story? Is this supposed to be a teaser? This very short tale feels more like a young adult story than an adult erotica. Yes, there are some adult situations and some smexy licking sex, but the heroine is a teenager under her parents' thumb.
This is a fun reinterpretation of little red riding hood. The smexy lycan hooking up with a human girl is hot. The "protective" gear placed on the sexually innocent Amy by her parents is a hoot. The story does leave several threads loose. There is a hint of something more, yet no closure so it leaves the reader either dissatisfied, wanting more or both. This story is recommended to fairy tale lovers who enjoy an erotic twist.
Amy `Red' Riding's Hood is an enjoyable adult version of Little Red Riding Hood sure to please readers who are in search of a quick, erotic fix with a lot of heart. I really connected with the heroine, Amy, and I thought Sean, the lycan, was oh-so-yummy. Overall, it's a well-written, enjoyable read. I recommend this story to anyone who enjoys good erotica, adult fairytales, and steamy shifter romance.
This is the most interesting retelling of a fairy tale I've read in a long time.
The story itself is short and sweet and also a bit naughty, the perfect balance. The scenes between Sean and Amy are tender, yet they can also be rough, so it was good to see both sides of their sexual encounters rather than just having the story be tender and loving.
That being said, there are a few things that pulled me out of the story. One was the phrasing that the author used in some spots. She had Amy and Sean saying things like "Thunderballs! He's huge!" Or "Fire and fangs!..." in spots where they are really excited. While I understand that the purpose of these was to try and add a little bit of fun to the wording, it really took away from the story. I think these could have been left out completely and the story would be much more powerful and pack more of the intended heat.
Also, I didn't really care for Sean's shifting while they were being intimate. The thought of him entering Amy with his snout was just strange to me. So, when I came to those scenes I just tried to pretend he was human and hadn't shifted.
As for the characters, Sean is the perfect mix of bad boy and sweet guy all rolled into one, being forceful with her in some sections and yet letting her cry without questioning her in others. He's a really well balanced character.
Amy aka "Red" is sweet and naughty, being bold in showing off how much she wants to lose her virginity. But, I also found her to be a little bit weak at the same time, since she let her mother put a chastity belt on her without much more protest than "But what if I have to pee?" Since the story is so short though, there's not really too much room for massive character development so this is understandable.
I found it really interesting to read that there were elements of class and social issues written into the story with Red's mothers' bigotry against her and Sean being together. I haven't read too many erotic stories lately, but those that I have read don't usually have social issues inserted into the plot.
Overall, the story is short, sweet, and just the right amount of steamy for a quick read. I think that this might be fun to read with a partner.
*I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
I really disliked this book. And here are my reasons why: The heroine, Amy aka "Red", has bigoted parents who won't allow her to see her love, Sean because he's a Lycan. Star crossed lovers, all that shit, I get it. However, she's a doormat. Her mother gives her her red coat and she notices something weird about it, but doesn't question it and when it turns out to be a chastity belt that's been forced on her, she just stomps her foot once and goes about her way. WTF. Maybe I've been spoiled with strong heroines, but this chicky is weak. The hero, Sean. He shifts for no fucking reason. Like at one point, he's just standing behind her and starts to shift - no rhyme or reason to it. Maybe he did it because she's afraid of it and he wants her to get used to it - it's never said and you're left to infer it, which I didn't - my literal thought was "wtf is he shifting for? That's stupid". The Muzzle sex. Holy crap, that was gross. He's eating her out when he semi-shifts and grows a fucking snout inside her pussy. I don't find that sexy IN THE LEAST! That reminds me of stories you hear about women and peanut butter + a dog. If his penis had been knotted, I could accept that a bit more, I guess because there is no fur on it's penis OR BIG FUCKING TEETH. SNOUTS DO NOT BELONG IN VAGINAS!!! I get that this book retells the story of Little Red Riding Hood and normally I really like erotic fairy tales, but this did nothing for me - weak characters, borderline beastiality and terrible plot.

This is for readers over 18! In this short story of adult fairy tale erotica, “Red” Riding is tired of being a virgin. Her best bet is a lycan named Sean. He’s perfect. Crystal blue eyes, dimpled smile, buff chest, and wicked bulge! But being in a community that frowns upon human-lycan relationships makes loving Sean more challenging than she ever imagined.
I don’t want to tell you too much about the characters so that I don’t give away any of the story. Sean is a lycan in love with a human. He’s definitely an alpha with his confidence and disregard for social views to get what he wants. Let’s just say he is also very talented orally.
“Red” comes across as a naïve virgin in the opening pages. Don’t let her fool you, she knows what she wants and she wants Sean. (I mean who wouldn’t?) This is not the little Red Riding Hood we all grew up with. She’s all grown up and looking for a love that comes with passion. Red finds that love and it comes with plenty of steam.
Liz Adams has developed her characters well in this short story. I didn’t think you could get to know two people so well in a short fairytale, but I did. The side characters come across as real also, not just there for filler as in some stories I’ve read.
This is an awesome erotic romance with some hot werewolf sex. I'm never going to look at a dog's snout the same way again. Even though it was relatively short, the characters were well developed, as was the plot and relationship between the main characters. And like in the authors previous book, Alice's Sexual Discovery in a Wonderful Land, there were a few "OMG, I wonder if she's going to..." For instance, we all know about Red's grandma getting eaten and swallowed whole by the big bad wolf in the fairytale, right? Well, a few chappies into the book, a thought struck me. I was actually reading the story with a friend of mine, and I turned to her and wondered alout if there was going to be a grandma getting 'eaten' in this story as well. Yep. Only it was an aunt instead of a grandma, which as a reader, I was grateful for. I wouldn't have been able to get a little old lady image out of my head. :) Now, every time I reread a fairytale, my mind is going to be even dirtier than usual. :) Can't wait for more!

I really enjoyed this short story with a different twist on the classic story of `Red Riding Hood'. Amy finds herself in a precarious situation. She is still a virgin. So she looks to her childhood friend Sean, the 'Big Bad Wolf'. I learned some new things reading this HOT SEXY STORY of the wolf who gives Amy what she asks for. I would love to find a wolf of my own. Or to find a tongue that can... I am not afraid of the big bad wolf and neither will you be after you read this. Oh to be in Amy/Red's shoes. I am looking forward to Alice's story.
This is quite the interesting re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood. I was very impressed with the way Ms. Adams wove this story. It was intriguing and followed original fairy tale with quite a few twists and definitely enhanced the story.
Ms. Adams does an amazing job of bringing characters to life. Her world is so real and easy to imagine.
Ms. Adams is an amazing author and I can't wait to read more from her!
Holy Thunderballs! Lol. I love twisted fairy-tales.
Magic, fairytales, and the supernatural is what got me into reading. Now that I am older I like a little heat with my bedtime story :)
Liz Adams did a wonderful job sex’n up “little red riding hood”. Red and Sean were perfect for each other. Their scene together in the woods was hot, wild, and I appreciated the dialogue from the classic being slipped in as well.
Amy is in love with Lycan Sean, but her family doesn't approve of mixed relationships and they try to keep her and Sean apart. Sean almost loses Amy when he gives in to her aunt's blackmail to obtain a key their physical separation. After coming so close to almost losing each other, they realize that they can't let other's dictate their lives.
Read this reimagined story of Red Riding Hood with an erotic twist that will captivate you and draw you into the story. Follow her through, the challenges of desire and a relationship that parents and society shun. This story will be your new erotic read for a bedtime story.
Now, first off, I don't normally go for shifter stories and I've avoided M/F erotica for a while as a lot of it just seemed to be thinly disguised porn. So, why might you ask, did I read Amy's Red Riding's Hood? Well, I do have a soft spot for fairy tale retellings, especially adult retellings. After all, fairy tales were originally written for adults, not children.
And I have to say with Amy's Red Riding's Hood, I was pleasantly surprised. Amy Riding, our heroine, is fed up with being a virgin and after a disaster with the blacksmith's son, who failed to rid her of it, she sets her sights on Sean, her childhood friend who also happens to be a Lycan. Sean is the epitome of the Alpha male and very hot to boot. Amy is not some trembling wallflower, though, far from it. She knows what she wants and goes right after it.
But there is a lot of prejudice against Lycans and humans getting together, so if they want to be together, they will need to fight for it.
The story is well-paced and the characters have depth you don't expect to find in such a short story. Even the side characters are well-drawn, Amy's parents and her aunt mostly. Most of the time the writing gives a very old-fashioned fairy tale flavour, but there were some words that jarred me out of it a bit, such as using OK. The love scenes are erotic and fit in with the characters, with emotional depth, not just physical reactions. Bodice-ripping could have been invented for this book.
Sean and Amy were distinct characters in their own right, not just a male and female body who have sex. I was glad we got to see some parts from Sean's point of view as well as Amy's, which gave the story a more rounded feel. There's even a bit of humour laced throughout the story too.
If you're looking for a romantic, erotic story without too much angst, then try this one. I'm glad I did. You'll be rooting for Amy and Sean.
Thunderballs! Talk about re-inventing a classic! I love erotic re-tellings of fairy tales (after all, they were originally meant for adults).
Liz Adams put together an incredibly sweet yet steamy story in such a short length. And she used a certain sequence from the original tale at a very apropos moment. As for the big, bad wolf eating little Red (as in the original version by Charles Perrault)? Well, I'll admit that I had to pause while my brain engaged in some mental gymnastics.
Just two things kept me from enjoying this without reservation. One, I understood logically the reason for the scene involving Red's aunt but emotionally, it really took me out of the story. Two, I wish that this could have been just a tad longer. I completely forgot about the bonus excerpt so thought there was a bit more to read. But when I clicked to the next page and... over :(
Given the barriers to their relationship, did they truly get their HEA? Inquiring minds want to know, Ms. Adams!
Werewolf hero cheats on heroine after he's blackmailed into giving Red's aunt oral sex of a weird kind (inserts his shifted snout into her vagina while the rest of him remains human). Heroine catches him, tells him it's over and runs off. Hero proceeds to chase her and force her to give him oral sex, and by the sounds of it full intercourse.
Cheating, even in this case (to save Red from the stigma of dating a lowly werewolf), is a complete turn-off. His abusive (read: rapist) and possessive nature after Red rejects him for his infidelity sealed the deal.
I LOVED this story. It was sweet, as a fairy tale should be. It was H-O-T and sexy, as any erotic short should be. Amy is only to lose her virginity and her short quest brings her to a childhood friend, a shape-shifter who is forbidden fruit because of not being human. I was drooling (excuse the canine reference) at the first description of Amy's soon-to-be lover (the Wolf - I'm forgetting his name as I'm writing this). It's clear that these two share a connection that quickly usurps Amy's end-goal.
My only complaint with Amy Red Riding's Hood was that it was too short. Yes, I know it was a short story, but the characters were so richly drawn that there were many places where the story could have gone more in depth without sacrificing pacing. The end especially felt rushed, as if it were an outline rather than a complete story.
I enjoy reading some fairytale retellings to an extent. I find it interesting how some writers can take a story and recreate it. The ones I like the most are the stories that stay somewhat close to the story line, use the same character names and have a semi similar beginning and end result. Having said that Liz Adam’s retelling was very creative. Without taking it too seriously or trying to delve too deep into the meaning behind things within the story (this is fiction-hello) I thought it was very entertaining.
The little glimpse into “Alice's Sexual Discovery in a Wonderful Land” has also hooked me and I intend to read that one very soon!
I really had fun reading this story. It was short, funny and hot. I really enjoy reading a famous tale with a little twist.
Amy "Red" didn't want to die a alone and a virgin and she decided that even though the world looked upon Lycan-human relationships, she wanted Sean, her wolf friend. Sean was a really good wolf, until the end when he decided to be bad. :) I really enjoy a good HEA and they do have one!
There were a few things about this little story that puzzled me, for sure. Also, it stopped in a place that made me wonder if my Kindle was on the fritz... nothing really got resolved.
However, it was funny! One of those stories that wasn't really going for humor (I think), but pulled it off with the absurdity of everything. It was kind of charming, in an odd way. If you've ever wanted to read a kooky erotica version of "Little Red Riding Hood", here is your chance!
As a lover of erotic fairy tales, I couldn't help but fall in love with Liz's take on Red Riding Hood! By the end of the story I was ready find a red cape and go walking through the woods. Just the right amount of sweet and naughty! Can't wait to check out more stuff from this author.
