HIBIKI Kanae is the other penname of KOIDE Mieko.

Mieko Koide has a somewhat "bipolar" approach to storytelling. Her works cover the range from a sweet love story involving a haunted apartment to darker stories of love within obsession. From the beginning of one of her manga, it is often difficult to discern what type of series it will be, as she keeps many secrets as her tale unfolds. Her stories are generally set in everyday life with ordinary people, although occasionally she throws in a bit of the supernatural to keep you off balance. Her works involve exclusively male x male pairings, handled with a realism that the Boys' Love genre rarely sees. (from Senshi Gakuen)

Yeah I like it. Like the complexity of the storyline along with the stupidity displayed by two of the main characters. And thank god for that smart upfront kid. He is such a lifesaver because of his assertiveness, his sharp judgement and honesty.

Iogi and Shirasaka's relationship is really messy. That's what would happen when you don't communicate your feelings.

While most readers love Iogi and sympathized with him, I don't. He reaped what he sowed. He's sooo selfish, a bastard that only cared for his own happiness and to achieve that, he blackmailed Shirasaka repeatedly, exploited Shirasaka's guilt towards him so that Shirasaka won't leave him, hurting (mentally, not physically) Shirasaka continuously to the point that Shirasaka almost kill himself! Can someone tell me what's so good about Iogi?! It was his own fault because he didn't want to confess his love in the first place, before the accident happened and even after the accident he never told Shirasaka the truth, he only assumed and assumed in his head. In his POV in doujinshi, he told readers that was because he didn't want sympathy from Shirasaka if he confess. Ookay, so he didn't want sympathy, but he wanted his body, the heart will follow afterwards, so why not bind him physically, right? He didn't even think twice when it was for his own benefit and happiness, he never considered Shirasaka's feelings at all.

So that's why I'm truly glad that Shirasaka ended up with Tamiya instead. And I love Tamiya's personalities.
