Love Always #2

Always, Amy

Rate this book
Can two people go from being enemies to lovers to…just friends?

Twenty-five-year-old Amy Harlow has read every romance trope that exists and she loves them all. She’s very familiar with the fictional archetypal bad boy characters, and sadly, she has dated quite a few. And so, when she meets the suave, arrogant, but oh-so-good looking Lucas Mancini, the new doctor working with her in the emergency department, she knows exactly where to put him. As public enemy, number one.

Unfortunately for Amy, Lucas is determined to evade his role as the bad guy in her story, and before she knows what’s happening, he has moved from enemy to lover and now to friend? How had that happened? And now that he has put her in the friend zone, Amy cannot focus on anything other than getting herself out of it.

With the help of an anxious puppy, her friends in a raucous romance book club, and a weekend of fake dating (it works in all the books she so happily devours), will Amy be able to overcome her preconceived notions about love and Lucas, and finally write her own happy ending?

Fans of Sarah Adams and Emma St. Clair will love this enemies-to-lovers, second chance romantic comedy with a sprinkle of fake dating. It is closed-door, with lots of sizzle and swoony kisses giving you all the feels but no explicit content.

Always, Amy is book two in the Love Always series but can be read as a standalone novel.

I SO SO ENJOYED THIS BOOK!! I read it in less than 24 hours like i just couldn’t stop reading it!

I really enjoyed Love, Lilly and i was really excited to read Belinda’s new book! Amy is such an important character in Lilly and Oliver’s book and i was thrilled to read about her.

Amy is a really hardworker! Being a nurse is all she ever dreamed of and she won’t let anything or anyone interfere with it. Specially not doctors…

Lucas is the new doctor and new Amy’s coworker. They’re both attracted to each other but the relationship goes the wrong away and they end up kind of hating each other! That hate changes into something else but they barely got to enjoy it because Lucas has to leave. Now he’s back and everything changed but he still wants to get closer to Amy… as friends.

I just LOVE these characters. Amy is such a sweetheart. She cares a lot about the people around her. She deserves the world!! Lucas is just as sweet and caring! We can see how much he cares for Amy and he’s ready to do anything to show her how much he cares and loves her!

There’s some scenes that take place at the hospital and i really liked it! As a big grey’s anatomy fan, just like Lilly, i was the happiest :)

Now the tropes!!! Enemies to lovers to friends to lovers (a new favorite), workplace romance, second chance romance, he falls first and a little bit of fake dating 🤭

Always, Amy comes out on June 21st and you should really REALLY read it!!!

Let me start off by saying I absolutely loved Love, Lilly BUT I love Always, Amy even more!!! The Grey’s Anatomy vibes really pulled me in on this one. The final draw was the book club! So relatable!

Amy & Lucas are a new favorite book couple! I love the chemistry between them. I do feel that at times Amy overreacted & was extremely bull-headed. But she always put others first and was a great nurse. Lucas - how dreamy! The way he persevered ,never giving up with his desire to be with Amy. You could feel the sparks flying off the pages!

Sometimes miscommunication can be annoying but I feel like Belinda did a wonderful job with it in this book. The emails explaining what happened were just heartwarming! I am SO glad that Amy finally came around and realized that Lucas was her HEA!

I adore Belinda’s writing style and how she carried over several characters from Love, Lilly! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!!!

ARC review!

rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
spice: 🌶️ (closed door, just some cute kisses)

includes:
- enemies to lovers to enemies to friends to lovers😂
- second chance💖
- a lil fake dating😉
- a lil he falls first🩵

what a cute story! i really enjoyed love, lilly (book 1), but i actually liked this one so much more! in love, lilly, i loved the supportive voice of reason sister, amy, and so i couldn’t wait to read this book.

nurse harlow does not like the new (but beautiful) dr. mancini, but he is eager to get to know her. somewhere along the way, amy changes her mind and decides she also wants to get to know lucas, but does he still? what should she do now? what CAN she do now?

a very cute, simple read that made me laugh, made my heart hurt, and made my heart happy all at once.

this beautiful story releases 6/21/23, so please check it out, as well as the first story in the series, love, lilly, which is available now!🩷

Well Belinda, you did it again! 𝗜 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗗, 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗗, 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦!!!

Ooooh Amy is just my person, she reminds me so much of me! Not being able to keep a hobby and getting bored easily, so what does she do? Create a book club! The exact same thing I did months ago!

I found this story so relatable and I understood Amy’s stubbornness, but at the same time I wanted to shake some sense into her! She seemed completely blind to what was right in front of her or she was refusing to believe it, one of the two, haha!

Even though Amy was stubborn I loved how Lucas 𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 gave up! Boy was that man persistent! Amy is one lucky lady!

I also loved the role Lilly played in this story too! She was completely kick ass! And a saviour to both of them! She is such a great friend to Amy and you could see and feel the appreciation from both Amy and Lilly for each other’s friendship! It was so wholesome!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Amy’s story and cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

Cute, i liked the first book better though. Idk i just felt like there was a lot missing in this one and the non linear timeline for those few scenes was very messy and made the main characters relationship feel very shallow and without much chemistry.

I did like the main character, Amy, more. Or at least i liked that her past and backstory made more sense with her actions and how she she treated lucas.

Lucas action based was great but i just didn’t feel his character much, he felt very far away.

🌶️: 0/5 (both books only have kissing, this one has a fade to black that is 100% fade to black)

It was a rough start not gonna lie.

I read this series out of order so I kinda knew what was about to happen. (Well it's a romance so basically you always know). Because the third one was absolutely amazing and I adored it, I felt like the first part of this book wasn't written by the same author. It was a very weird experience that you want get until you read the series but somehow the second part was cute and what I wanted this whole time.

Overall I am so grateful that I found this series. This books are giggiling and kicking my feet in the are kind of vibe which we love so go read them.

This wasn't Enemies to lovers it was more of a miscommunication trope and I am not a fan of this trope but this was fine ig....

The chemistry that all the friends in the book were talking about, I couldn't see it may be because most of their interactions were shown in the past and told in third person pov.

And bringing up many of the tik tok famous books made this one seem like a fan fiction(P.S I love those books- spanish love deception and the hating game, but still you want the focus on this book and nowhere else)

Loved Snickers- the dog 🐕 💙

Oh. My. Goodness. I LOOOOOOOOVED this book with my whole heart.

Right off the bat, the dedication had my heart ready for the emotional rollercoaster I was strapping myself in for:

“For those who have had their heart bruised. And are brave enough to fall in love again.”

I absolutely adored Love, Lilly but I think Always, Amy really melted my heart into complete mush. You got to see all the amazingly wonderful qualities of Lilly spill into this story and we got a pupper version of Lilly in Snickers. I just… I’m over the moon.

Lucas and Amy are Meredith and McDreamy, Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth… it’s so many qualities of my favorite stories wrapped into one with a big ol’ bow on it.

I found myself doubled over in laughter so many times during this book. I also found myself clutching my chest to make sure my heart didn’t fall out. Some of my favorite scenes include Lucas calling snickers Hannibal Lector 😂 Lilly being a little mastermind with that bouquet. The emails… oh my heart… the emails. Lilly and her unicorn onesie. Anytime anytime blew kisses in this story I just… Amy and Lilly are iconic best friends.

This one played every single on of my heartstrings. I recommend reading Love, Lilly and Always, Amy back to back. It’s a real treat and you’ll thank yourself for it later.

Love, Lilly is available on KU as well. Always, Amy will be available 06.21 💖💙

Please read this book if you like:

-Grey’s Anatomy Vibes/ McDreamy becomes McHottie
-enemies to lovers to…
-mr. Darcy & Elizabeth Bennett
-miscommunication
-happily ever after
-second chance romance
-he falls first
-workplace romance
-a sprinkle of fake dating
-closed door

Thank you times a million Belinda Mary for the amazing opportunity to read this ARC 💙💖 I cannot wait for Isabella’s story and my fingers are crossed big time that it involves Dan 🥹💖

I was waiting for this one so impatiently and Belinda didn't disappoint!!!

Amy and Lucas really stole my heart and i love them so freaking much! ( Sorry Lilly and Oliver)
They're soulmates and i could see that from the very beginning, even in the previous book!

I loved how Amy owned up to her mistake of cutting of Lucas without knowing the real reason!!!

Lucas my baby, he's so precious, it's adorable how he gets insta jealous when any man approaches Amy!

Their Gif exchanges and messages are so cute i can't!!!

Amy making a book club was such a nice touch and all the b.c meetings scenes were gold!

Everything in this book, from the plot, the characters, the miscommunication at some times, the touch of spice, everything were so amazingly written!!!!!

The last few chapters (especially the emails) + epilogue really gave me all the feels and made me emotional!!!

I could go on for hours... cuz I'm a sucker for this book! If you really can't tell I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS ONE!

Forever grateful to Belinda for trusting me with this ARC 🙏🏻

First of all I would like to thank Belinda for giving me the privilege, again (🫣) of reading this book before the release!

This book is about Amy, Lilly’s best friend and Oliver’s sister, a nurse, and Lucas, her sexy doctor colleague.

This could be perfect right? But there is everything against this relationship, some broken noses, sore ankles and so on 🫢

As in the first book, I loved, that in the end of it, was the beginning of the next book. In this case the transition for Isabella’s story, Lucas’s sister.

I’m really forward to read about another Italian! 🥵

Now, here some quotes I loved:
‘A young woman can be happy alone, as long as she’s got good friends, a good book and a good bottle of wine.’

‘The key to any healthy relationship is not being perfect but being willing to embrace you and your partner’s imperfections.’ ✨

This was a engaging and wonderful second chance, enemies to lovers story.
I LOVED the characters! Talk about a sweet relationship full of ups and downs.
Always, Amy is a clean romance read that had me laughing out loud more then once while I also got teary eyed a few times. (I may have shed a tear or two)
I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

This is the second in the 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 series. We follow Amy and Lucas who stole my heart just as much as Lilly and Oliver in the first book.

↳ 𝐚𝐦𝐲 is me, I am her - a girl with a million and one hobbies! From the knitting, to the colouring, to the couch to 5k! I related to her 𝐒𝐎 much - to then start a bookclub with her besties - 𝙌𝙐𝙀𝙀𝙉 💅🏼

↳ 𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐬 - well, hi Dr McHottie! He had that flirty banter and I was 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐈𝐓. My heart ached for him with that miscommunication trope but I loved that even through all the uncertainty of what they were to each other, he was always there for Amy!

↳ 𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 & 𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 - I could read about these two ALL DAY LONG. I loved them in the first book and I loved how they were still very present in this one. The fact we got to relive my favourite scene (Lilly’s birthday) through Amy was 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 🩷

↳ 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 were still amazing in the second book! I loved the banter, the text messages, any interaction they had with each other and the fact that Sammi still communicates in GIFs is just perfect - LOVE HER

𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐢 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚 𝐆𝐈𝐅 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 🤣

I feel like you could easily read this as a standalone, but reading the first book adds so much more depth to it.

The miscommunication trope did frustrate me at times, I just wanted to bang their heads together and get them to talk, I did also think there was a bit of a repetitive vibe with the fake dating part, but 𝐈 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐓 and cannot wait for book 3 OMG??

Omg! I love Amy and Lucas’s story! It was a few times were I wanted to grab Amy and shake her and hug her. The last 40% of the book, I have been smiling and laughing, that my cheeks are hurting. I am not a big fan of miscommunication trope, but it just make the book more fun to read! I was on edge and like I said earlier that I wanted to shake Amy a few times. And Lilly, she is such adorable person. Can’t wait to read Belinda Marys next book

This is the second installment in the Love Always series and I absolutely loved it! Amy made her debut in Love, Lilly as Lilly’s best friend and now she has a book of her own! I really like that Mary established that Amy and Lucas knew each other prior to the now. It helped establish their relationship and their chemistry. I also really enjoyed the small overlap from Love, Lilly! It was also really nice to have Lilly be the supporting friend in this book – it was nice to get a glimpse into what happened after her book ended. It was also nice to see more of her personality. But I digress. This really defines a feel good romance, one that will make your heart flutter. Lucas and Amy jumped off the page and into my world, it really felt like I was Amy’s friend and she was telling me about what was happening in her life. Lucas is a wonderfully mature man. Overall, this is a great, clean, romance that everyone should read!

Ugh Belinda! How do you do it? What do you do? Because at this moment in time I'm ready to get on a plane to Australia and shake your hand on a job well done because this one gave me 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟𝗦!!

I absolutely adored Love, Lilly so to continue on the journey Amy went on after that was just amazing. I really enjoyed seeing the Lilly & Ollie cameo that they had in Amy's book - but I also loved that Amy got her own story!

There's nothing to dislike about these characters. I couldn't find anything. I read this book in one sitting and I found myself with a smile on my face the entire way through.

The writing, the way it flows effortlessly - ugh it just made my heart melt in all the best possible ways 🥰

If you know me, you know how much I LOVE Greys Anatomy, and this was giving me alllll the vibes & feels from the show 🥹 let me start by saying I actually didn’t read Love, Lilly yet, but you don’t need to read book one in order to read book two, as they are interconnected and can be read as stand alones!

I actually cannot stand the miscommunication trope, but it’s very bearable in this book and I think Belinda did a WONDERFUL job of playing this out. I will now be going to read Love, Lilly, and cannot wait for Lucas’ sister, Isabella’s book to come out! 😍

My favorite side character was absolutely Snickers the dog. 🥹

I was lucky enough to recieve an arc of this and well well well. I really enjoyed seeing Amy's pov and getting to know more about her and Lucas. I typically am not a fan of single pov but I really really enjoyed this. Amy is so sweet and watching her brother and bestfriend fall in love through her eyes is so amazing. Lucas is so sweet and caring. The way he takes care of Amy is what any girl could want. I adored seeing Amy get her happily ever after with Lucas and I cannot wait to get book 3!!

I absolutely loved Lucas. He is the perfect book boyfriend, doing everything right.
The only thing that annoyed me was Amy's lack of trying. She did not put in the same or even any effort into the relationship. I wish she would have done something, anything to show how she felt about Lucas.

review - disappointing

Was disappointed with this book. While I appreciate that the book does not go into raunchy scenes, it still highlights a lot of drinking to get drunk scenes. I did not like that. Being inebriated constantly should not ‘appear’ be celebrated.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is book 2 of the Love Always Series & is a standalone, though it may spoil some things for book 1 for readers who haven't read it yet but want to. The book's blurb gives you an idea of what to expect. It's a sweet second chance romance told mainly through Amy's pov.

After a horrible relationship years ago, Amy has closed herself off from love - especially with those in her own profession. When she meets Lucas, there's an instant pull between them that she fights once she learns he is a doctor. As they work together & are workplace enemies, they can't deny their attraction to each other. However, after Lucas appears to be like her ex, Amy closes her heart again. When Lucas has a good explanation, Amy has to decide what kind of relationship she wants from Lucas.

With what Amy experienced because of her last relationship, it's understandable why she would have fears about experiencing that again. Of course that doesn't mean that it's fair for her to assume that Lucas is the same as her ex. She may let those fears prevent her from being in a relationship with Lucas but, with the help of her friends, she's able to come to some realizations about how she's viewed Lucas & what their relationship looks like to others. &, while Amy comes to terms with her feelings for Lucas, she is able to acknowledge how she hurt him & them. I appreciated that about her as well as how genuinely happy she was to see Oliver, her brother, & Lilly, her best friend, in love.

Because we only get two chapters from Lucas pov, we only really know him through Amy's pov. I would've loved to get his thoughts on the time they spent apart as well as how he felt after their reunion. Thankfully, we do get a glimpse into his thoughts & I love the way they were revealed. Based on Amy's pov, we see that Lucas is someone who never stopped caring for her. Although he was hurt by her actions, he still wanted to maintain a friendship with Amy. He didn't hesitate to help her when she needed him. I loved how he always showed concern whenever he noticed something was wrong with her & how he didn't give up on their relationship even when she did.

Because we don't get to see it happen but rather are told of events that happened between, I would say this is more of an at odds romance rather than an enemies to lovers one. It's missing that high tension that is usually associated with the trope. However, readers will still be satisfied with Amy's attempts to give in to her feelings for him. Their shared night & what happened afterwards does make it a good second chance romance though. It's a closed door romance with implied intimacy but nothing too spicy. There is a bit of push & pull as Amy accepts her feelings & some miscommunication but the story is a fast read so I don't think readers will mind it. Aside from the romance, I loved Amy's friendships. Overall, this an easy & enjoyable read & great follow up to the author's debut novel. Once again, she showed that her books will bring a smile to my face & I can't wait to read the next installment of the series!
