Redwood Pack #2-2.5

Redwood Pack, Vol. 2

Rate this book
Redwood Pack Volume 2 contains the third book in the Redwood Pack series, plus a novella in a print copy.

Trinity Bound Redwood Pack book 2

Hannah Lewis, a rare earth witch, is taken from the only life she’s ever known. Held at her will by a sadistic wolf, she almost gives up hope that she’d ever see her real life again. But as her fellow captive, a werewolf named Reed, tries to calm her fears, she begins to feel a spark of something she never thought she’d feel – love. But is Reed, alone, enough to get her out of this dark basement so she can move on with her life?

Reed Jamenson, the artist of a werewolf Pack of Alpha males, knows instinctually that Hannah is his mate. Thus, despite their imprisonment, he will do all to protect her and then worry about their hearts. But is he strong enough to find a way for both of them to escape? And why does he feel as though something else is missing?

Josh Kolb, an ex-military human, stumbles upon Reed and Hannah and finds he must trust this new world of supernatural beings to survive. But that desire will lead the three to a triangle of attraction that will test the boundaries they all possess and its consequences in defeating the enemy. Can they all trust one another to save themselves and life as they know it? Even at the cost of their own hearts?

A Night Away Redwood Pack Book 2.5

Kade Jamenson has been mated to Melanie for almost two years. They’ve been through mating circles, battles, loss, misunderstandings, and finally, the birth of their son, Finn. The world is in turmoil around them as the Redwoods engage in war with the Centrals. But for Kade and Melanie, the turmoil is also happening at home. The responsibility of a restless baby and their Pack has taken a toll and they need a break.

Not from each other. But from their Pack. Just for a night.

Kade takes Mel away for a romantic getaway and leaves Uncle Maddox alone with baby Finn. The Omega of the Redwood Pack may be adept at emotions but the idea of a baby may be beyond his immense capabilities.

Author’s Note: This is a novella set between books 3 and 4 to give you a taste of Mel and Kade. It is best that you have already immersed yourselves in the Redwood Pack world, however even new readers will enjoy a glimpse of one of the Redwood’s favorite couples.

Another twofer book that includes parts 3 and 3.5 to the Redwood Pack series. When I discovered I could get the paperback versions to the ebook versions I have to able to easily share with others I went & purchased (yup, I am revisiting and Rereading this great series by a fantastic author who I have really enjoyed the books she has written)

Trinity Bound:
Reed was captured by the Central Pack in the last book. He is housed in cell with a witch not just any witch. Hannah is a healer, her "scent" beckons to him as being his mate but it also feel incomplete. Why?
After three nights, Reed begins to wonder if anyone is coming to rescue them. In his mind he wonders of his importance to the pack and if he is just pawn.
But the human who is finder, Josh, using his SEAL training decides to go out on his own to locate them simply because he feel drawn to them... What will happen & will it be too late?

A Night Away:
Kade & Mel need a night away to reunite, rekindle, and enjoy just the two of them...Uncle Maddox has the baby Finn but....
Cute funny & enjoyable snippet to see what is going on with the couple that started this wonderful series.

REVIEW FOR TRINITY BOUND

They Just keep getting better and better!!!!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE IN THIS SERIES SO FAR!!!!! To put it as PG as I can, I needed my door closed a few cold showers after this one.

This book picks up right where book 2 leaves off, leaving Reed in a dark place with a light of hope locked away with him. I don't do spoiler reviews at all so I'm gonna try to keep this as close to unrevealing as possible.

We have 2 main alpha's in this one and a very strong woman in the middle, Josh is our other non wolf alpha and he is just as sexy as Reed. They both leave you wanting to jump in the middle and take Hannah's place.

Hannah, I love Hannah she is so strong and brings a balance to this trinity that is written so well.

Now I have to say that I saw the m/m coming and wasn't sure how I would feel about it, this being my first taste of it and I was pleasantly surprised that I was not at all grossed out or turned off by it at all. I think it has a lot to do with how Carrie Ann lead up to it and wrote it all. If you have read any of her work before this especially in this series you know that the Wolf Mating bond goes beyond gender and societies rules placed in our minds regarding love and sex. And to read this story and see the tug and pull between Josh and Reed and than have them constantly fighting not only their own bond but the evil constantly trying to rip them all apart you find yourself cheering their love on page by page.

I was engrossed from page one and I'm so excited to read the rest of the brothers stories in the upcoming books from Carrie and the Redwood Pack. Again another thing I loved about this series is we get to follow previous couples through out each book and still see how the story grows and develops.

I'm absorbingly entranced by the Redwood pack and give this novel 5 stars and I'm forever a fangirl of Carrie Ann's because of this series.

REVIEW OF A NIGHT AWAY

In A Night Away we get to revisit Kade and Melanie 2 years after Book 1 in the Redwood Pack Series!!

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, this is the #1 thing I love about this series, we get to revisit couples form older books via novellas or in the full length novels.

Kade and Melanie need a break, which any marries couple with kids and jobs and full lives can completely understand and relate to. So they ask Uncle Maddox to babysit and run away for the night.

I've been waiting patiently on the edge of my seat for more insight into Maddox and I'm dying waiting for his book. So it was nice to get to see a little more of Maddox that we haven't got to see yet in previous books.

Nice quick read to wet the appetite of any Redwood Series Fangirl, I giver it 4 out of 5 stars only cause I wish it was longer and didn't have to end :)

Curl up in your favorite chair with an ice-cold beverage because you are going to need it to cool off after reading this book! The third installment of the Redwood Pack Series does not disappoint, as a romance or an adventure.
If you already read Ryan’s Taste of a Mate, you know that Reed has been abducted by a rival werewolf pack. In Trinity Bound (Book #3), we get to really know him and his TWO intended mates. Yep, that’s right. He’s lucky enough to get two. I’ve read some good ménages and some bad ones; Trinity Bound is fantastic! Ryan does such an excellent job of emotionally connecting to each partner in the relationship. It’s hard enough to write an emotionally satisfying story with two main characters, but the author succeeds beautifully with all three of hers.
Hannah is so sweet and kind, but with a badass attitude when she needs it. Nothing is going to get between this witch and the men she loves. I also like the fact that a ménage is something she had never considered before, it makes her character so much more real to me that she is mentally processing this relationship as the plot moves along.
Reed is artistic, thoughtful, a good listener, but I have to laugh at the times when he behaves like a clueless normal human being. It brings his character to life. Ryan has such a natural way of showing strengths and weaknesses in characters that as a reader you can’t help but feel that you really get to know them as people. It’s the memory of the characters that really seal the deal on a successful story.
Josh is the rough and tough SEAL that hides his emotions and won’t let anyone see the softer side. This story is so perfect for him, because that poor man needs two people to love him and make him feel like part of a family. His transformation throughout the book is excellent, especially his temptation by the demon.
Which brings me to the dark twist the author has taken in this story. It was by far the right choice and by including witches and demons into her werewolf pack’s lives, it has only added spark, depth, and a lot of intensity to the stories. I can’t wait to see where Carrie Ann Ryan takes it next!

In the novella, A Night Away, we get to spend more time with the characters Mel and Kade! So glad we got to have another peek into their relationship. Even a toddler can wear out a werewolf! Everyone reaches that point after having a kid where you just need to make time to reconnect with your partner. This short novella was spot on! You will not be disappointed.

Trinity Bound -
Carrie Ann is definitely kicking things up a notch with the newest book in the Redwood Pack series. Stepping into a menage with MM action that is super hot!

The story is really great if a little dark. This whole series has touches of dark elements verging on horror at times. Not really a complaint more an observation. Very complex characters that take on really deep situations.

It is easy to be drawn into the menage relationship, Reed has been a love since the last boo, Hannah is very sweet and endearing and Josh is a tortured dominant military stud! What a combo! The mate bond makes the action move along quickly, loved all the hot and heavy! There is an especially inventive scene where artist Reed gets creative with edible paints! Oh yeah!

The steam ramps up a level with all the MM action added into the mix. Really nicely done!

This series still has so much to come, unresolved issues from the ongoing plotline, and brothers and a sister still in need of mates. Can not wait for more! Really I hate waiting...please release soon!

Wonderful story telling and plenty of steam to keep things hot and heavy! The series gets better with each book.

A Night Away -
This novella is a wonderful visit with Kade and Mel from the first Redwood Pack book. They are now proud and over tired parents. It was great getting into the complex emotions parents have after childbirth. It was terrific seeing them work through the struggles of new parents. Wanting to spend time together but not wanting to neglect their child, feeling guilt over wanting to get away and the exhaustion a new mom can feel.

The one night get away held plenty of steamy action!! Loved the reconnecting..it was super hot and heavy!

Nice hints at future pairings in the series and a great insight into Maddox the Omega. You really get more of a sense of what makes him tick.

A sweet visit with old friends!

Trinity Bound

Hannah is being kept against her will by some really bad werewolves. Reed, one of the Redwood pack members and a brother to the redwood pack Alpha is a cell mate. They are drawn to each other. Reed knows his family will come but also knows Hannah, a witch is his mate who he has to protect. Josh arrives in town and knows there is more to the world than what everyone else thinks. As ex-military he has all ways had a knack for finding people. He is drawn to a area and stumbles upon Reed and Hannah. He knows he must get them out. The 3 have an immediate connection and attraction. Could this be a start to something truly magically? Can their relationship even work? How will a trinity bond affect the pack and can it possible save it from the enemy trying to destroy the Redwood pack?

Carrie hooked me again! Couldn't put it down. I so love this pack and love the family dynamics. You love the characters in the story but also the family as well. looking for to the next one!

A Night Away (novella)

A night Away is Carrie's new novella. Mel and Kade need a night away from the new baby. They feel guilty but need some together time. Sex scenes are hot and the situation is relatable. Any couple knows they need together time and being a werewolf is no different. I liked this short story for several reasons. 1. the fact i know where the couple is coming from, 2.I get to see another small look into the Redwood pack and 3 very hot! Keep them coming Carrie!

Redwood Pack Volume 2

Trinity Bound by Carrie Ann Ryan
Triad. Threesome. A werewolf, a witch and a Finder. Two men, one woman.
The third book in the Redwood Pack series. Lots of steamy sex between the threesome.

The Redwood Pack werewolves are still at war with the Central Pack. The Central Pack has tortured, kidnapped and called a demon to help destroy the Redwood Pack. They are nasty.

The story is better and has more depth than prior stories, but some editing still needs to be done.
High octane sex between the three throughout.

A Night Away book 3.5 of the series by Carrie Ann Ryan
Kade and Mel are over tired with a demanding baby boy and Pack duties. They need a night just for themselves to rejuvenate. So they take it, but feel guilty about leaving their baby behind. Maddox's the babysitter.
It's nice to revisit with a couple from a prior book and learn more of Maddox at the same time.

Oh my... What to say! The Redeood pack is chockful of hot manly men. So, Trinity Bound is set with Reed and he is captured by the enemy pack. Reed meets Hannah an earth witch whom he falls in love with. In the city there is an ex marine that has a unique ability to locate people but he has to know them somehow but he has a strong emotional connection for two people he has never met but knows he has to find them for some reason.

Josh sets out and finds them which in turn sets a chain of events that can't be controlled and feelings that can't be contained... So here I where I have to stop so I don't give any spoilers... I will let you know this was my favorite book so far in the series and it invoked a heated, heart racing, emotional breath holding while I read. I actually had to remind myself to breathe!

This is the story of Reed and Kade. we get a look at what happens when Reed is introduced to not one but two mates. As they figure out how their bond works they are also persued by outside sources. The Centrals are after them after Reed was abducted by the Demon.

As the story progresses we learn about Reed and how he fits into the pack dynamic. I thought he was just fine until we hear about his insecurities and his lacking of pack abilities. I was definitely intrigued by the M/M action because being a woman I don't know if I could handle that. I mean I get the 3 way action I just don't know if I would be ok with the rest.

Other than the relationship the story was pretty involved. I really did lose myself into the story.

we learned in the novella that is attached to this how Kade and Mel are dealing with being the Heirs and also with their baby Finn. It was definitely an eye opener.

Book 3: Reed Josh Hannah
This has to be my favourite in series. Reed is the artist in the pack and hannah is the human witch, Josh is the ex seal.
I like that in their relationship reed and josh love each other just as much as hannah and reed.
I loved Reed. He puts himself down but he's just as important as the alpha in the pack.
Hannah is very insecure and new to her powers but loves Josh and reed completely.
Josh is a human ex seal that has a weird compulsion to find people and even though Josh is shocked to be attracted to both reed and hannah Josh it in his stride.
This is my favourite book. The struggle and action is awesome and beautiful love story.

Book 3.5 short story Kade and Mel
Get seeing Kade and Mel reconnect again after hard times recently.
Loved that Maddox looked after Finn while his parents had some alone time together.

These two books are great. Trinity Bound is very fast paced, edge of your seat grabber. I really like Reed, Hannah, and Josh. I think they are a set of sweet couples. Their book brings you further into the pack and the evil the centrals are responsible for. I can't wait to hear more about them in the future. In a Night Away you get a look at Kade and Mel after Finn is born. I really love that Carrie gave us a "look" into the future. I love knowing what has been going on in the characters lives after you finish the books. Next up is Adam's book. I like the Enforcer of the pack. I feel pain for him and hope he finds his perfect mate soon!

Decent Shifter Series. I'm a sucker for them. Loved Hannah, Reed & Josh's story! I'm not sure what to feel about the men being so emotional. Usually the Men / Wolves are very Dominant. (which I love) In this Series they cry. Don't get me wrong, I don't want them to be insensitive Ass's!! And they're definitely strong & protective, they cry more than the women. Now I sound like the insensitive Ass. Read it & tell me what you think!

I'm loving the action, Demons, war. Damn Caym & Corbin! It definitely gets the adrenaline going.

A lot of errors. :-(

Damn, sorry I complained quite a bit. I did enjoy the story, well written with a lot of detail.

On to the Volume 3.

When I saw that this volume would involve a threesome with mates, I wasn't sure how I was going to react to this. I thought it would be too kinky for my taste, or another one of those dreaded love-triangles. I was TOTALLY WRONG!!! Never have I been so happy to be so utterly wrong. ;) I have to say, this little threesome is by far my favorite set of mates!! They just make their relationship work so well!! I loved reading every sweet-sexy moment that they shared!!
So many obstacles this pack is overcoming!! Can hardly wait to read more.

I absolutely love this series! Not only are they full of action but great romance stories as well! Each book is based on a brother that comes across as an Alpha Male! They are strong, passionate, protective and would do anything for their mate! On each one I have been hooked from page one and didn't want to put the book down! I can't wait to read more by Carrie Ann Ryan! She has a way of writing books that you can easily get caught up in and feel like your completely lost to the book!

This wasn't my favorite of the series. Trinity Bound is about Reed and Hannah and Josh. Personally, I don't enjoy threesomes. I read it because it involves the war between the packs and the demon. I'm giving it 4 stars because it is well written, the storyline is as good as volume one, but sexual threesomes is just not my cup of tea. The novella re-visiting Mel and Kade is nice.

It took me a little longer to read this one. I wanted to finish sooner but the story w/Reed, Hannah, & Josh was much more intense. Which I absolutely loved. Reed & Hannah r perfect for each other & throwing Josh in the mix made it ten times better. I also enjoyed reading about Kade & Melanie again. They r my favorite couple but Maddox is really growing on me.
