Goodness gracious, I read and reviewed ‘Turn me On’ first and now I found I am chronologically challenged, since, my dear Virginia Nelson, you wrote ‘Taking Control’ first! I am all ablush since I didn’t even recognize, initially, that the same author penned both of these delights. That in and of itself is a whopping huge compliment sincerely delivered from my humble position. Well, they certainly can be read separately since they just simply share a marvelous energy and a savoire faire for sexy story tidbits from the same author. Oh yes, they also have a beautiful woman who feels beaten down and unwanted being lovingly raised to an ecstatic state. So it has been my pleasure to share a hot romantic encounter with two of Ms. Nelson’s women both setting off a glorious firework display signaling more to come in their new relationships. ‘Taking Control’ is spot-on!

Mellie wants to stop licking her wounds from being, in her opinion, totally embarrassed on a national television show called Find Your Hubby. After a year, she is going to go whole hog and pay for an escort from Madame Eve’s 1Night Stand. That is a very impressive and courageous move, Mellie! Alex will be her escort and appear at the dining rendezvous wearing a red tie. When Mellie sees that Alex is a woman, she goes through multiple contortions that eventually remind her of a flashback from her high school years where she wondered about her attraction to girls. No wondering any longer!

Alex is simply perfect. If I owned 1Night Stand, I would want a corral of Alexes. She has panache. She is seductive. She is capable of drawing Mellie out with dozens of different ploys and I got to see a few of them, the rest she simply considered in her mind. However, there is a secret reason powering and lifting Alex heads and shoulders above most escorts, I believe. It would spoil the surprise if I spelled it out here. Trust me to say, I was completely confident that Alex would win over Mellie! Oh, by the way, I think Alex is such a love!

This short story was over the top tantalizing, heartwarming, and delightfully sexy. Mellie takes a very courageous step and she hits the jackpot with Alex…eventually. Don’t miss this positively amazing yarn that should happen to everyone who feels they can never show their face in public again. I’m going to give a thumbs-up recommendation; it should not be missed.

Good heavens! Just when I thought it couldn't get any hotter when it came to Ms. Nelson's writing, she turned up the heat. This was one of those books that I was lost in until the final page was turned.

Mellie is finally ready for some action after the debacle of the reality dating show she was on the previous year. Not sure if she can do it on her own, she contacts Madame Eve in the hope that the professional dating service guru can find her the match she has been looking for.

When Alex enters the indoor patio, the scene that greets her lets her know that Mellie did not realize she was being hooked up with a woman. Mellie is a woman that Alex has been fantasizing about and she is not going to let the other woman’s nervousness get in the way of her goal of tasting those succulent lips.

Mellie is shocked to find her date is a woman and not the man she was trying to envision. As Alex sits down and the two begin to talk, she finds herself aching to explore the other woman in ways she never imagined. While Mellie is just stepping into the dating pool with baby steps, Alex is prepared to jump into the deep end with all of her heart. Can she convince a woman who has been hurt and humiliated in front of millions to take a chance on her?

Taking Control incorporates real-life circumstances after being on a reality show with erotica that makes your skin dance with desire. Every caress, kiss, moan, groan, and other delicious sensations that arise from this book have been told in such a way that one cannot help but feel grateful to Ms. Nelson for bringing the passion and desire these two characters feel for one another to the surface. While I have enjoyed reading other 1-Night Stand books in this series, you will be happy to know that you do not have to read the other tales to understand and fully enjoy reading this one. The plot is meaty enough to keep you enthralled as you watch Mellie and Alex explore each other one decadent touch at a time.

I really could sympathize with Mellie. When it comes to love--she goes above and beyond to find and constantly gets the short end of the stick. When her 1 night stand match shoes up the electricity practically crackles between the two.
This is a sensual, hot-paced erotic that will keep you warm on a cold winters night.

Part of the One Night Stand series. Having unsuccessfully been on the reality show, Find Your Hubby, Mellie uses the last of her program money at Madame Eve's. Good interaction between Mellie and Alex. Good build-up/anticipation for sex. Likable characters.

This was a very fun, sexy, novella that is easy to lose yourself in. It's a pretty short read, so I say go for it if you don't mind a couple of ladies exploring the human body.
