Two centuries before the great Immortal Battle, a radical clan of witches united with one of the most powerful Druidic families. Under attack from the evil Kiana and her minions, they conspired to prevent the extinction of their ancient magical bloodlines.
Little did they know the magic forged during that All Hallows Eve would not only secure the continuation of their lineage, but would in fact create a new being, a new magic, that could someday save the entire world.
The Bloodstone Oracle is the second short story companion to The Dark Gifts series.
Willow Cross resides in Arkansas with her husband, two children still young enough to live at home, an enormous cat named Bitsy, and a scaredy-cat dog named Tank. Her home has been known to host the occasional ghost, and a few of her friends profess to be witches. Although she dearly loves Vampires and Werewolves, they are never invited for dinner.
Do you love to read about witches, vampires, & ghost??? If your answer is yes than The Bloodstone Oracle is the book for you. Willow Cross is an brilliant author, who knows how to write a good story. Her characters are always amazing. Maria the main character is one of my favorite witches of all time. She is defiantly a strong female lead, that will do anything to insure that her bloodline will go on. Don't let the length of this book fool ya, it is jammed packed with adventure. I am hooked & can't wait to find out what happens next. The Bloodstone Oracle gets 5 stars from me.
10*s. WOW everything is coming together very quickly and making a lot of sense and I am very much enjoying these short stories. It's a very refreshing fast paced story and we begin to find out how everybody palys a role and has joined forces to fight. It's got witches, vampires, ghosts, and lycans. This is a fabulously MUST read short story. Thank you, Willow, for this breathtaking, fabulous short story and I can't wait to read the next one!!
Bloodstone Oracle is another companion to The Dark Gifts series and I'll tell you what, I am loving these companion novellas that give us a peek into the deeper parts of the books that we don't really get to see, but may be curious about. Loved it, and recommend it!
I love the Dark Gifts Companions! I love the Stories and the characters! I also like the fact that the author (Willow Cross) does not call male witches warlocks!! That drives me crazy! I can't wait for the next one!
Ebook: The Bloodstone Oracle (The Dark Gifts Companions) Author: Willow Cross Fiction, Paranormal, This review may contain spoilers I was given this by the author in exchange for a an honest review Summary: Two centuries before the great Immortal Battle, a radical clan of witches united with one of the most powerful Druidic families. The Review Ok, So I loved Afterlife and if you have not read it, then you should before you read this, as it all ties in and you would be completely lost, this is not a stand alone book, so I would highly recommend you read afterlife first, here is the link, to get you started, http://www.amazon.com/Afterlife-Dark-..., This novella is a back story to all the Dark Gifts Series by Willow Cross which I adored, this one is no exception, it has all my favourite characters in it, I know a lot of you loved William and Angie from Afterlife, they are also in this one, not a big part but they are still in it, I would highly recommend it, especially if you love a great back story, 5/5
The Bloodstone Oracle is the latest in the Dark Gift series, and a person actually COULD read it first, even though it's not the first book. That's one thing I like about The Dark Gifts series...you can read them out of order and still get the gist of what's going on because every book is unique in its POV/character/plot, yet every book links in to the bigger picture. Willow has a way with this technique and personally, I find that a talent in and of itself.
This book is short. I read it in under two hours (and I'm not a fast reader). We meet witches and learn of a prophecy or two (okay, more than two). The story reaches out and touches OTHER stories in the series (or introduces you to them if you're reading this one first) and plays a little connect-the-dot game which made me, as a reader, feel so clever because of the multiple "a-ha!" moments. Willow's good at that too. The first time I noticed this in one of her books, I was impressed by how seamlessly she shaped it into the story.
This is my fifth or sixth experience with a Willow Cross book. I'm a fan of her story-telling technique. She moves the plot right along and the reader never "wants to just get through this scene and onto the next one". Nope. Every scene is a mini-story in itself. Gotta love it. :)
Thanks for more fun reads, Willow. As always, I look forward to the next one.
I recommend this book to anybody who enjoys magic, mystery, supernatural, good reads. It's appropriate from YA up.
The woodland clearing teamed with flickering lights as flames from the stone-encased fire ring licked higher into the sky...in unison, five women surrounding the ring stepped forward... Beat by beat, they made their way around the bonfire with cadenced precision as a large cloaked figure chanted. His hands held a small stone that glimmered as he raised it toward the full moon. This was the beginning of the bloodstone. Entrusted to the care of Marie it became her protection and that of her child. Through the power of the stone Marie sees as an oracle the future fated for her and her child. Hunted by an enemy that wants to exterminate her line and destroy the line of her people she is forced to flee. With her mate Damien they begin the journey. A journey that takes them to gain a promise from an ancient vampire to do whatever the wearer of the bloodstone bids. Everything depends on the oath to protect the Oracle. You have to read the Bloodstone Oracle and uncover the secrets within
As always Willow Cross has brought it like no other! This companion book was everything I'd hoped it would be! Here she's giving us a few extra pieces to this fabulous story she has created. If this is your first Willow book I suggest you start by reading Afterlife (which is now free on Amazon), so you will understand what is going on. ;*} I was first swept away to Willow's world by reading Afterlife. I immediately followed that with her novel Birthright which turned out to be my newest favorite book!!!! (You just can't go wrong with the cast of characters she has thrown at us... vampires, witches, goddesses, & a druid!!) Finally I downloaded the free sample of Inheritance which just made me realize I HAD to buy it! =) And I've been waiting this release ever since! :D The whole Dark Gifts Series is 5 Star FABULOUS!!! Take my advice & go buy them all, because you'll be hooked too! ;*D
I was given a e-copy by the author in exchange for my honest review.
This is the second companion in the Dark Gifts Series. The book takes place two centuries before the great Immortal Battle. Great lengths are taken to protect a ancient magical bloodline from extinction, but will it be enough? It all comes down to believing promises made by strangers and the fate that has already been put into play. Will a glimpse into to future be enough to guide them on the right path?
A great add to the Dark Gifts series. A must read for true fans. I will give you that extra piece to the puzzle that holds the hidden truth. I have read all of the Dark Gifts Series so far, and I love them all. The author continues to amaze me and always leaves me wanting more. The next book in the series can't come fast enough!

Bloodstone Oracle is the wonderful beginning to what, I hope, will be a long series. I recommend it to any lover of fantasy.
Now this one just confused me. $1 is a small price to pay for a couple of hours of reading good writing but the thing is, I'm still torn. Nothing really happen. it was just a different POV of Afterlife and really what was solved in the end?
OK. I'm over it. final decision, nope, it was not worth it because after reading birthright i'm still confuse.I didn't even see the bloodstone in the main novel and i'm still not sure, who the child is. seems Jenna most of the time but sometimes it could be Liz too. I'm leaning on Jenna more but that just piss me off. Didn't like the child much so I couldn't care less now.

Once again, I was enthralled by the world that Willow Cross creates in her Dark Gifts series. The Bloodstone Oracle is the second companion in the Dark Gifts Series, and proved to be fabulous installment that really helps to keep pushing this series forward. I'm just cross with myself that I took so long to read this lovely series development.
Be sure to catch up and keep up with this impressive series.
I recived this ARC copy from the author for an honest review. Thank you Willow Cross I loved it!!
This was a wonderful companion to The Dark Gift series. I am glad to know alittle more about Maire and Damien. Liz comes from a very powerful family. You can tell how much Marie and Damien love their baby! And want to keep her safe, even if it means to trust a vampire. If you have not read The Dark Gift series or Afterlife (fist companion) then you should read them first, BUT this is a must read! Get your copy today...
Angelica along with William her trusted ghost and Michael go traveling . They meet some strangers who are witches who see into the future and bind them to a promise. Willow Cross The Bloodstone Oracle The Dark Gifts #2.5
This book adds another dimension to the Dark Gifts series, and I love the way the author is building an entire world and history with her books. This book goes back to the day Liz was born and shows how much her parents loved her and what they went through to ensure she survives. This book is a must read if you’ve read and loved Afterlife.
Amazing short story by Willow Cross that keeps you captived as you are drawn into the world with witches, vampires and other supernatural creatures. As Marie and Damien must make a journey of the life time. Will they make it? As the fate of the unborn child is in the air. Will the visions be full filled? To those answers just pick up the book and see..
I loved this story & the way in which Willow writes it, but it ended way to soon. Willow`s The Dark Gifts series is deeply intense & keeps you wondering what`s going to happen next, you can`t put it down.I like how all species of characters get along it`s amazing. This has become one of my favorite series. :)
I don't normally read novellas as I hate reading short stories but decided to give this one a try. As this is the first book I have read in this series I had no previous idea of this story. I find the book to be refreshing and captivating. I feel this novella sets up the beginning of what will be a great series.
I really enjoyed how many wonderful creatures can intrigue you in such a short book. If you don't mind a fast paced intro into their story, grab this book and get ready for a great beginning into an amazing adventure.
Another book I couldn't get into. I found it kind of boring and slow. I need something more to the story or better flow maybe not sure what it was missing.
