I absolutely fell in love with this series when I read the first book, Never Say Never. Eighteen-year-old Neve Knight is the lead singer in her band, The Never Knights. Her dream has always been to have a band of her own and that dream has become a reality. In book one, Geoff was injured and was replaced by Danny Blue, who Neve fell hard and heavy for, breaking her own rule of never dating anyone in the band. This caused tremendous conflict, especially when she found out that both Kyle and Luc had feelings for her. To keep the band together, Danny Blue steps down, and Geoff resumes his place playing guitar. The book begins with the band in London, touring. Geoff has had a constant problem with drugs and alcohol, which has gotten completely out of hand, and he has a history of being very inappropriate with Neve. This is taken to a whole new level in Never Land, with all the scandal and drama you would typically see in the tabloids. Neve does not want or need this for the band. Danny Blue, her knight in shining armor, helps to save the day. As Neve's relationship with Danny progresses, she begins to meet people in London, where Danny is from, including his father, stepmother, and friends and family of his dead girlfriend Peyton. As the story progresses, Neve finds out that Danny Blue has a whole world of secrets that she just doesn't know if she can handle, and when she confides in someone about this, it blows back up in her face, threatening to destroy everything she loves and has worked for. Not only does she battle feeling like "second best" or a "replacement" in Danny's life, she must also face the fact that her choices might cost her everything....the band, her friends, and most of all the man she loves.

I have to say that the Never Knights Series is my most favorite of all Kailin's series. I love the whole rock band scene. I really like Neve. She really has to face a lot in this story, making some really hard choices, some of which she is not too proud of. Danny Blue, total hotness, swoon-worthy, the guy dreams are made of. I loved him and then wanted to slap him because of the way he treated Neve sometimes. He has so many hurts from the past, and I was glad to see him begin to open up a little in this book. I still have to wonder if he will stick to his guns and his choices in the next book in the series. I believe he cares for Neve, maybe even loves her, but will he stick it out with her with things get hard. That remains to be seen, and I am still not sure if I trust him. I can't wait to see what happens next in their relationshiop. The guys in the band.....all of them are totally hot. Steve is the most level headed. Kyle, though hot, is an emotional mess. Luc, is dark, swoonworthy, and a little mysterious. I am anxious to see how things with him play out at the series progresses. I loved the story line. The book is not very long, but there is a whole lot of drama packed in those pages. The chemistry between Neve and Danny has sparks flying everywhere, and the romance is really hot, but there are also a few sparks flying between Neve and someone else in this book........not to mention all of Danny's old flames, which keep coming back to haunt him and torment Neve. If you love contemporary romance, hot guys, and rock and roll, this is one book you won't want to miss. Kailin Gow has done an outstanding job in the second book of this series and I can't wait to see where she takes it from here.

First off I want to say that I LOVED Never Say Never so I was suuupperrr happy to be on the tour for Never Land! Thank you sooooo much Kailin for providing a copy in exchange for a honest review. And thank you BB Tours for hosting this tour. You guys ROCK my world. ;]

As you can tell above, I loved the first book in this series and Never Land sure didn't disappoint. Once again we were tangled up in Neve's hectic life where she tried to balance her life. Gosh, seriously GUUURRL! Neve's life was hard to live. She really needed some balls gut to be able to survive in her life. My emotions were flaring up like an exploding volcano, phew, stressful! I remember a time in my life where I really struggled to balance everything out, and wow, my, my ,my, that wasn't fun. It involved anger, pain, fear, and everything in between. This book really reminded me of those days. I really don't know how Neve does it. And I think by writing such struggling book Kailin really connected with her readers. I mean who hasn't had a stressful time in their lives? By living Neve's life, Kailin transported the readers into a world where they almost can examine themselves and compare their lives with others. I don't know how crappy other people's lives are but I sure learnt that things could be worst.

Oh, you want me to discuss the hot, British Danny Blue? Okay. Seriously let's be real, I want him as a model in my house: Yes Danny, please just stand here and look gorgeous. I'll just be here typing up my review.
With that said, I didn't know whether Danny was good for Neve. It seemed like Neve + Danny + other band members + Others = HOLY STRESSFUL MAJOR CRAPINESS! Okay, seriously, I don't think I would've survive the situation. I mean there were some serious tense parts that I just felt like the book was sucking the air out of me. *grabs the Oxygen bag beside me* Kailin, you had almost killed me with this book. *reaches up a trembling hand*

Neve, to me, was a true definition of a strong female character. Yes, she was vulnerable but I don't think anyone could had dealt with the situations she was in better. I mean the situations she was in were all realistic enough to make me feel like I am living the good life (which I am) and kind of made me felt bad about it. And sure at times she almost completely gave up but to me that shown strength. To be able to stand up again when you were at your lowest point meant a gigantic amount of effort was put in to lift this weight off. I really admired her for it.

Once again Kailin, you had stolen my heart. For those of you who haven't started on this series, please start now. It is sooooooo good! Trust me, you have time for it. The books are short (which I am actually quite bummed out about since I want more). So no excuses! Give the series a go and rock on!

After reading the first book in this series, Never Say Never, I was really looking forward to this one. I loved diving right back into the music and Never's world. I could almost feel the emotions running off of her throughout the book. This one gets a bit dark at times, but I loved the realistic feel to it. Things are not easy for her and each day really is a new struggle. There are quite a few twists thrown in that made me want to scream and yell. The one thing that I did miss in this one, is that there isn't as much actual music since there is a lot of other things going on.

Never grows a little bit in this one, but she is still the young vulnerable girl that we met in the first book. She really does try to do what she can to keep the band together and keep everyone happy even at the expense of her own happiness. She has a lot more stress too, with the band issues and some other surprises that have been thrown her way. She feels like she is losing control of everything, but somehow manages to hold it together. I didn't like how she seems to almost give up to easily sometimes, but everyone makes mistakes and sometime the pressure gets to be too much. In her case it seems to just swallow her whole.

Danny Blue isn't absent for long which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because, let's face it, we all want more Danny Blue *swoon*, and bad because it definitely makes things a lot more complicated. Emotions run high in this book. Sadness, anger, passion, jealously, and rage. Never is glad to have Danny back and they can't resist each other, but there are many secrets that might threaten to pull them apart. Add in jealous band members, a major creep, and interesting family members and you have some really crazy and tense parts.

The story progression was fantastic. For a short book a lot of stuff happens and there are a lot of changes in the characters. Most notably I think in Steve. I really have a lot of respect for him and I was glad to get a bit more of him in this, but I thought it was a bit sad how he is at the end. I totally understand why though. We start off this book on a stage in London with the band living their dream and end with not knowing what will happen. With the way this one ended I am totally dying for the next book. I need to know where the story will go. I can say that I am now fully invested in the characters and their story and I need more

Holy hot boys and drama Kailin!! I am a huge fan when it comes to all things Kailin Gow but she has truly out done herself and blown me right away with this one! I mean I enjoyed book one but loved this one. Neve's world is just as intense and complicated as ever and quite possibly more. With more twists, more romance and more drama this novel surpassed all I had hoped for and then showed me that you never really know.

The story starts off with the band on the tour that they were all excited to be a part of. Yet there is a lot more than meets the eye going on. I think I was thrown with the the intensity that this book starts with. There is so much emotion flying it flows off the pages and into you. I mean the love, the regret, the shock, the pain and many more are all so clear that you will not be able to put this book down.

Neve continues to grow in this one but she is still the same girl that I grew to love in book one. No matter what it is in her life, if it's what she wants she goes all out for it. The best thing about her is that she does go all out for what she wants but also she knows when to not be too wild about it all. However she does seem to loose control of some things but that is not entirely her fault. There is so much going on that there is no way she can control it all. Heck lets face it there are many times that she wants to loose control of certain situations. The rest however make her an emotional wreck and drive her crazy.

The romance is becoming more complicated and much deeper. Never is in love with the beautiful Danny Blue but I mean she does rock it with some extremely hot guys. However she has handed Danny her heart but as much as I adore him I am starting to wonder if it was the right thing to do. We all have our secrets and baggage but when does it become too much. Also lets be honest I am not sure exactly how much she is behind Neve but when it comes to their romance it is nothing short of hot and steamy.

This New Adult series is not to be missed. Kailin Gow has transitioned from YA to NA without batting an eye. Her characters are wonderful and develop at a perfect pace and leave you wanting more of everyone. I would be lying to you all if I said that this book has me more addicted than ever to the series and left me begging for more. This is yet another piece of work that Kailin has created that I absolutely love. Can't wait for the next instalment!!

Never Land by Kailin Gow takes a darker twist that really gives the story more depth. In the very start of Never Land, I could just sense that this story is not going to be the same as Never Say Never. The fame of the band has increased, and the story reflects on that darker side of fame. Never was a bit naive in the first book, but in this book she is faced with difficult situations and is a bit out of her element. Most of these situations come about due to the recent fame the Never Knights have gotten after signing with the record label, RRR. The darker side of fame includes easy access to sex, drugs, and alcohol. The effects of addiction play into the story too.

Neve has grown up in the spotlight, being that she is rocker Keith Knight’s daughter, but being the one who is generating the fame give Neve a new perspective. When the band started Geoff, Steve, Kyle, Luc and Never were best friends and did not think anything would come between that, but fame and fortune may get in the way. That may not be the only getting in the way, Neve’s relationship with former guitarist Danny Blue is not helping either.

I really liked the relationship between Danny and Never in the first book, Never Say Never. After reading Never Land, I like how the relationship changes and it is not perfect. There are issues and complications that need to be worked out. I think more than anything in Never Land, Danny and Neve’s relationship, begins to look more realistic. There are going to be complications in a relationship, especially one that is exposed to the limelight of fame.

Never Land does have sexual situations, drug and alcohol use, and some other more mature situations. It is a New Adult/Mature audience book, so please keep that in mind. I really like the fact that Kailin Gow does not glance over or avoid the tough situations and topics, when it comes to drug abuse. I really like the way the story plays out, and I cannot wait to read more in the third Never Knight book.

I truly did not expect to like this series as much as I did! I loved the concept, and the fact that it was New Adult was a huge plus! (I'm seriously obsessed with it right now, it's ridiculous.) Anywho, this is the second book in the Never Knights series. So, read with caution!

So Neve and her band finally got what they always dreamed of- a label for their band. But it cost her something- sexy swoon~worthy Danny Blue! As hard as it was seeing these two split, I was so excited to see they reunite in this book! Before going on tour Neve and Danny meet again and Neve needs to figure out if she's going to let him go a second time.

I thought the characters were super interesting and fun to read about. I found Kyle (Neve's best friend in the band) and Neve's relationship really cute! He was like an older brother to her, even though he could be a bit too much sometimes- he really cares about her! Geoff was... ew. But you always have a character in a book you don't like right? Now to the love interest..Danny Blue! He was... woah. And his accent, I mean... come on! Who can resist a hottie with an accent? (: He was.. yum. yum. yum.

I loveee the storyline! I have this thing for books based off music. I don't know, it just is so much fun to read about! And since I've been all over New Adult this book was right in my alley. I did bring the rating down .5 stars only because I felt like it was too short! I would have loved it to be a bit longer.

Anywho, this book was great! I would recommend it to anyone who loves New Adult! :D Like me! It was such a blast reading and I am sooo happy I did ! <3 Kailin Gow is awesome, and I'll definitely be checking out more of her books in the future!

P.S : Thank you so much Kailin for sending me the book via mail! You don't know how happy it makes me to have a paper copy. (: You rock! (See what I did there? ) <3

I have read a good amount of books by Kailin Gow but this is my first second in a series book that I have read of hers, and I really like it! I think she is good at giving just enough background from the first book to bring you up to speed. Never Land drops you right into the action of a concert, just like the first book. I really liked that they each started out on the same kind of tone.

From the first page of Never Land, it is very fast paced. There is never a dull or slow moment in the whole book. I flew through reading it in only a couple of short hours. It kept my interest the whole time and has left me really excited for the third book.

As I mentioned in my review of Never say Never, there are lots of guys that wished they had Neve's attention. I like Danny and Luc a lot, but I have finally made up my mind who I like more. I can proudly say that I am now a huge Luc fan! I feel like we got to know each of the guys a little bit better in this book. I like Danny I just don't like how Neve is always running back to him no matter what.

Never Land deals with some deeper and more serious issues, and there was plenty of drama. I felt bad for Neve because she always seemed to be in the middle of it, but it wasn't her fault. Fans of the first book will love the sequel- I enjoyed it even more than the first book. It fits in the new adult (which I am completely loving right now!) category perfectly.

At the end of Never Say Never (Never Knights, #1), Never (Neve) thought she'd hit the jackpot. Her band has since shot to stardom; travelling the world, opening for some of the hottest bands on the scene, on the cover of magazines and they're on their way to recording their first album. But not everything is going as fantastic as the tabloids portray. The fragile peace forged between her hot blooded male band mates since Danny Blue's departure is starting to break down as tensions rise all around Neve, threatening everything she's worked hard for.

With her own band now, Neve is trying to shake the famous shadow that her parents cast. I love her determination and persistence in this and the conviction in what direction she wants to go in all aspects of her life. But when the troubles start piling on, ranging from the band, to paparazzi and her relationship with Danny Blue, it all completely overwhelms her. She gets broken down pretty badly and there isn't much she could do watching this train wreck unfold. Her confidence is shaken, and even though I wanted her to get up and fight back - I figured her reaction was pretty realistic because I'd probably be in a fetal position in the corner if I went through what she did. But Neve, ever the optimist holds out for that glimmer of hope.

This time around we're in Danny's element in London. Just when I thought all of Danny's secrets were revealed in Never Say Never, Gow manages to pile on so many layers of jaw dropping and completely shocking secrets that I didn't think it was possible, but oh is it ever delicious to know these things. It's like celebrity gossip at its finest - something so disastrous that it both repels and intrigues. Although I am a bit disappointed in Danny and Neve's relationship. Neve's trying to make it a bit more serious, but Danny is still carrying all this massive baggage with him (further exacerbated by the current drama in his life) that it gets difficult and they both just seem to make do with just their physical relationship because it's convenient - but really at that age what else do you really want with an attractive musician?

Her relationship with her band mates end up getting more complicated and conflicted. There's still a tonne of awkwardness from all the declarations of love last time that never really fully get resolved, and the events near the end; WOW Neve sure knows how to stir up drama. I think Gow may be heading towards a love triangle, and honestly I think it's going to be a pretty epic battle for Neve because the two suitors are just so radically different and they each have something Neve craves.

But what completely sealed the deal for me this time around was Gow's incredible knack for creating some of the most disturbing and creepy villainous characters EVER. I mean they gave me goosebumps, set me on edge and I'm still thinking about how horribly things went for Neve. There were times where I was genuinely afraid that it was going to be it for Neve and that there was no way she was getting out of this situation.

Gow is a master at crafting fast paced, upbeat and addictive stories that you'll just fly through. This book ended with so many questions and loose ends that it feels more like a set up for the next book. I just need to know what happens to the band, and their career, and the relationships and DANNY BLUE!!! Sigh, but I have to wait a bit longer for that.

I loved the cross continent adventure this time, and how Gow completely immerses the reader into the drama filled lives of the rich and famous. Never Land was a quick and satisfying read filled with fun and sexy times!

Never Land was a page turner for sure and while music plays a part in the book, the romance seems to take center stage for a big part of it. And while I loved the romance, it's also why it lost a star in my opinion.

Neve finally had everything she's dreamed of: band on tour, record deal, dream boyfriend who she's in love with, but of course things can never stay sane. Especially when you're famous. A lot of drama involving her relationship with Danny and unrequited feelings towards her band mates.

Plain and simple, Danny is a freaking mess! I like him but he has way too much dark stuff in his life and I don't see how they can be together when they never want to deal with their problems. Every time something bad happens, Neve feels insecure or hurt, instead of talking about it they solve it through sex. Which is rally starting to annoy me. Throughout most of the book I honestly felt like Danny was using her. He has her wrapped around his finger and it seems no matter what he does, all he has to do is appear sorry and she acts like nothings wrong. All they do when their together is have sex. And Neve thinks she's in love with him and I think her feelings are true but I also think those feelings make her blind. And he never once told her he loves her. Danny can't seem to let go of Peyton and it seems no matter what Neve does she will never measure up. Their relationship reminds me of a mixture between 50 shades and Beautiful Disaster. Honestly their relationship is unhealthy and I'm starting to wonder when Danny will have crossed the line for Neve. And while usually I'm all for dysfunctional relationships I'm starting to feel like things either need to get figured out or end once and for all.

Obviously Neve would be better off with Luc or Kyle but she's in too deep with Danny to even care. And I hate that they have to stand by and watch the girl they love be with someone else. It's not fair and I really wish they could move on because they deserve to be happy too. And what makes it worse is that at times I feel like Neve give's them false hope, especially Luc. I know she makes mistakes, she's young after all, but it's becoming to much.

Despite the mess of a love triangle (square?) I really loved this book. So much happens that really shocked me and had me eagerly reading till the end. If you love dysfunctional relationships, rock and roll and a group of friends trying to find their way then this series is for you. I can't wait to read the third installment Never Ending.

This book was great, it definitely had more action and relationship problems than the last one. It seriously kept me turning the page. I just feel in love with the way the author described the scenes where they played and the music would just pour out from the speakers and the crowd would be magically enticed. It made me feel like dancing myself.

description

The romantic issues between Neve and all of these guys did keep my interest quite peaked, but just like the book before it became a bit ridiculous at some points with so many guys and the way that some of them were acting. I mean some of them needed to grow up when it came to certain parts of the book. There was this part where Neve literally just ran away from Danny because she thought she saw a desire in his eyes for another woman even though he clearly said like fifteen times it was not what she thought. Instead of waiting and asking him about it, she just leaves and I could not help but groan at the way she just acted.

I really annoyed with the way the band got back with Danny as the guitarist and instead of helping each other's friendships and being with her friends, Neve seriously just left with Danny after every gig and would go do it with him somewhere. Like, you were so close to three other guys only a few weeks ago and now you have a chance to make up for all the crap that happened but you just leave with Danny. *Sigh* I mean come on you see Danny a lot and after all that was left on the table you could at least consider Kyle, Steve, and Luc into some things, but nope! She went off to a hotel room and what made me even more steamed was that she totally screwed Luc over at the end of the book! I mean I cant even think about it without getting mad! Literally taking advantage of his feelings because Danny decides to ditch her...Geez. I mean it got to the point to where i just sat there thinking "Now you get what you deserve and I have no pity left for you, Neve."

description

I must admit, though, that this book was a bit more interesting than the last one, but it was seriously also over the place. It seemed to be here, there, and everywhere. There were so many problems that Neve had to deal with like Danny's father and crazy stepmother, Geoff and his rapey ways, and having to deal with all the relationship problems that still remained in the band.... Overall it was alright it got four stars from me

Having finished Never Say Never earlier in the day and feeling fairly invested in the story, and wanting more of the same, I ended up ordering Never Land from the Kindle Store right before I crashed that night. I read about half of it as soon as the book loaded on my e-reader and then promptly woke up the next morning to finish it. Unfortunately, despite the fact that I read it in what could almost be considered one sitting, I wasn't nearly as lost in this story as I was the first.

The first book was a fun, fast read that was hard to put down because I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and wanted to know what was going to happen to them and I just didn't feel the same way in this one. I felt that there was just way too much going on in the little over two hundred pages and way too much drama. It read more like I was watching a soap opera on television than anything else and that wasn't at all how the first book had come across. I felt like it was just one insane event after another, and though I still kept reading and finished the book in record time, I was dissatisfied by the ending.

Even the characters felt like over the top versions of themselves, swinging from one emotion to the next in record time (as characters tend to do in soap operas) and just making some pretty ridiculous choices that didn't feel right. I wanted more of the first book and I just don't feel as if I got it in this sequel, though I do plan on reading the third one simply because I want to know how things ultimately get resolved and despite everything I am still curious/invested in what happens.

Never Land was the one of those strange books were the sequel is actually better than the first book. First, I have to say that I had really weird feelings towards Danny. I liked him more, but I also disliked him more... which makes no real sense. There were just so many things revolving around him (good and bad ones) and even if he wasn't on my list of favorites, all of the things we got to see of him, the situations he has been through and more of his past, the more I sympathized with him and the more I liked him. He basically won me over in this book. I am officially Team Danny now.

Apart from being Team Danny, I think Never Land went a bit further on the 'Woman Power' aspect. Like how the Geoff situation turned out (I hate the guy.). He turned out to be bad-sh**-crazy. In this aspect I would've liked to see Neve stand up a bit more for herself, a little bit more stronger and empowering. I still admired her though.

Never Say Never was the band's and Neve's struggle trying to make it big, the band's inner conflicts and such. In Never Land, they are already living the dream, or at least really close to it. And when you're so high in your pedestal or on the cover of Rolling Stone, mistakes and the 'little band conflicts' are not that little anymore. Bad PR is not something an ascending band wants. Stakes are high and everything's fragile, including Danny and Neve's relationship. An amazing sequel! Cannot wait for the third book :D!

The book only took me a few hours to read. After reading the first book I was excited for the sequel.
I was glad that the Never Knights got signed to a label. The band is in London playing gigs.
Geoff took over for Danny Blue as the lead guitarist of the band. Geoff got into drinking and drugs while he was having to take time off from the band after his injury. An incident happens between him and Never. It surprised me that it happened. Sorry you'll have to read the story to find out what it was. So because of the incident Geoff is out of the band and Danny is back in. Both Kyle and Luc aren't happy with it but they deal. Danny meets up with Never in London. He tells her his father wants to meet her. So Never meets Danny's father and new stepmother. Some things in Danny's past leads to trouble with his relationship with Never and the band.
The story was okay. I didn't like all the drama with Danny and Geoff. I wish Never would have picked Kyle or Luc to date instead of Danny. But I am still going to read the next book just to see what happens.

Just finished reading and it was a nice sequel to the first but the characters are starting to annoy me some. First and I may the only one but I do not trust Danny Blue. I just don't...something about him rubs me the wrong way. Second is Never...I love her I do but for a girl that grew up in the limelight and in Hollywood she seems so clueless half the time. Its annoying. I think they all have right to be mad at what she did to the band and Luc...my poor Luc :( I feel so bad for him. The story was quick and a fun read. I will finish the series because well I am invested now but I really hope Neve grows up in the last book.

Continuing with the Never Knights books, Never Land was really Neverland for me, it kept being boring in some parts where you just want the story to keep going on and stop focusing so much in those details that drives you crazy! By the middle of the book it became Neverend for me and i really didn't like the way Neve kept going from Danny to Her bandmates just like that, it really made me want to get in the book and drive some sense into that girl. However, it started with a dramatic scene and finished with one even more dramatic just Rock Star Style and i have to say that i really like that.

Kailin Gow has done it again! Waiting on pins and needles for the next book.
Detailing Danny's past more but yet still leaving enough out to keep you hanging on. I was a huge Team Danny in the first book but how she has givin light to Luc just makes me want to switch teams.! I love how she has made Never a strong willed women and not some weak girl who feels the need to " hide" the troubles she is getting from everywhere. Only complaint is I wish she didn't make her out to be so quick to jump ship to one from the other. Seemed a bit out of character for Never.

Wow second book in this series as the Never Knights hit the heights of fame starting a tour without Danny Blue on lead guitar. Neve Knight at 18 is making her own way in the music industry attempting not to ride on her dad's coat tails. Things go bad when they are in London.
All sorts of terrible things start to happen with the band members. Kyle and Luc both still in love with Neve. Neve in love with Danny Blue. Loving this rock band tale it with great characters and story I can't wait to start 3rd book.

I guess its a testament to the author that she has made the characters so real, but sometimes I just want to strangle Never. I just don't get the appeal of Danny. She wants him physically but in ever other aspect he is the worst partner for her. I hope she grows up some by the end of the next book!

Wow! I loved Danny so much until the last part of this book. His actions disappointed me and then I started thinking about how wonderful Luc could be for Never. The whole situation with Roni and Danny's dad seems so unlikely but it worked in the spoiled rich people scene. I am loving this series. Can't wait for book 3.

This was a little immature for me it seemed that they were trying to act like adults but weren't. This whole thing seemed like a high school drama type setting and for people who own businesses this isn't the way they should be acting. I liked the first book and loved the characters interaction but this was not really my style.

I hate this girl...she selfish, immature and soooo annoying.
I will probably read the last book just to see if she is really going to pick the wrong guy….which she probably will because of all the above. Im not happy! >:(

I'm not going to write much on this besides giving it the 5 star rating. I bought the trilogy and don't want to take much time to rate it because I cannot wait to get to the last book of this series.

I'm just saying that if you like rock romance you will really like this series.

I was hoping this book would be better than the first book but it wasn't. A lot more drama happened but it seemed more like high school than adult life. Never seriously needs to grow up and Luc and Kyle also need to grow up
