In the second installment of the Glen & Tyler series, the guys find out what happens when you inherit a Scottish castle, tussle with international crime gangs and host formal balls. Yes, balls -- with dancing and everything!
In typical Hardy Boys--er, Glen & Tyler fashion, there are secret passages, irascible old men, caves, missing treasure, fine liquor and kilts. Ok, the kilts thing is new -- but believe me, you’ll like ‘em. Although there isn’t much hockey this time around, there is shinty*. There’s also some romantic anniversary thing, but really, stay for the shinty.
* For those readers unfamiliar with the ancient sport of shinty, think hockey played on a field, without protective gear and with a solid rugby sensibility. Or a riot with sticks and a score keeper.
The author lives with a non-imaginary cat, and works in computer support (you know, the day job), all in Upstate New York. He divides his time between writing humorous suspense novels, reading science fiction and urban fantasy, absorbing too much British TV (or as his roommate would say "those crappy BBC mysteries"), pondering why he didn't write a scifi or fantasy novel, and his various hobbies. No, reading isn't a hobby. It's more like a vocation. The author also wonders how people get away with talking about themselves in the third person this way. It's awkward.

This time they're hitting the road for Scotland where Tyler has an inherited castle and lands under the management of an evil jerk. Of course there's more than just that tomfoolery afoot, with all manner of secrets, secret passages, bad guys, thieves, killers, and mercenaries about.
Glen and Tyler also head to Saint Andrews so Glen can finish his dissertation while Tyler is determined to solve another mystery, oh...and the two are nearly killed at least a couple of times.
While there's no shortage of action, adventure, and mystery it does lack a lot of the humor and is just plain missing the same...je nais se quoi of the first novel.
But I do love how much these two complement other (God help the world if Glen dies. Just sayin'.), and the way they're growing as a couple. It also ends with Tyler dropping a pretty big bombshell on Glen (grr cliffhanger!), so I guess I'm going to have to grab the third book to find out what's going to happen to the boys.
Glen and Tyler’s Scottish Troubles (Glen and Tyler #2) By JB Sanders Published by the author, 2011 Five stars
Absurdist fun of the best kind, JB Sanders’ Glen & Tyler series romps through some very dark and serious issues with the cool of James Bond and the silliness of I Love Lucy. At this second installment’s center are Glen Merriweather and Tyler Conrad, husbands for a year, friends since adolescence, and fairly recently out-and-proud bisexual men who discovered who they really were through their love for each other.
The crazy premise at the hub of the series is that the two twenty-somethings not only got married to save Tyler’s inheritance, but that his fortune unexpectedly turned them into the fourth richest people in the world. Armed with this incalculable fortune, our boys set out to live a happy life and solve the sometimes unsettling problems that come along with the Conrad family’s vast and murky wealth.
I’m only on book 2, and I’m really deeply hooked. This time Tyler discovers not only that he’s inherited a Scottish castle and title from the mother he never knew, but that something bad is afoot in the highland village that he seems to own as well. So our intrepid boys take off for Scotland, only to discover that things are nastier and more complicated than they expected. It takes not just the bottomless resources of the Conrad empire to deal with their Scottish troubles, but it takes Glen and Tyler’s wit and knowledge to do so without killing anyone.
And that’s the ultimate charm of these books: these are good boys. They are not James Bond, in that their goal is to do no harm and correct the evil that the Conrad fortune has created in its wake. It is an impossible scenario where wealth is used only for good, and our two heroes, who were once (at least on the surface) callow jocks who womanized and played hockey have been transformed by their love for each other and their newfound fortune into LGBT action figures. Somehow Sanders pulls it off.
Gosh this series falls into that category of fun books that would make great movies, if only Hollywood had a spine.
At just 3% into this book, I was intrigued. A bunch of Russian dudes, with most definitely dastardly intentions, a shell game involving fishing trawlers and a mention of the Irish Sea. Despite some of these things not making another appearance for some time in the story, I was in.
After that intro, we’re right into being with Glen and Tyler, our main guys. I was smiling immediately. Yup! Also? I was already sure I was going to be reading more from this author, and this series specifically. Yup! This has a wonderfully flowing, intelligent style and varying tones that fit each scene. That’s not always easy to do.
Since this is book two in the series, Glen and Tyler are in a place in their relationship that demonstrates the knowledge they’ve gained since becoming a couple, while still learning things about each other. I haven’t read book 1 (but will!) and yet didn’t feel like my reading experience was compromised. Based on some of the conversations, however, I’m willing to venture a guess that, if you do read these in order, they’ll be that much more enjoyable.
For as many supporting characters as there are, they’re all memorable. When I think of the guys’ friends/bodyguards, the fishermen, Mary, Effie, and even the ones who don’t appear until later in the story, they all make me smile. Or sneer. Or guffaw. It’s not easy to include so many characters, which is a great way to build each location, and have them all feel meaningful.
Bonus: hurling!!! Yes, the fantasmical sport of hurling gets a mention, as a result of a conversation and the inclusion of shinty. Just saying. Hurling!! ;) (Who’s googling right now?)
This story involves adventure, mystery and the continual discovery of this relationship of Glen and Tyler’s. I could say more about all of those but I don’t want to ruin any of the surprises, even the subtle ones. The great thing is that Glen and Tyler are portrayed as secure in both themselves and their partnership, which takes several forms. Simply, they’re in love. They’re each unique, with Glen a bit more introspective, and he takes his time in thinking about things before making a decision. He’s funny, very intelligent and wants to achieve the goals he’s set for himself. Tyler is clever and very good at reading people. He is gung-ho with a huge heart and he shows it. Constantly.
This last point is sometimes overdone. This story definitely has a case of hyper-reality, with incredibly rich, young guys who can make anything happen (and do), that seem to have all of the answers and resolutions come quickly. It leads to some repetition and the feeling of going around in circles once or twice, but it’s never so much as to produce major eye-rolling or head-tilting. There are a few technical errors, but again, nothing that pulls you from the story for longer than it takes to read past one.
It’s a bit of a utopia, but eh, who really cares? Remember, we’re talking fun here, people, FUN. And honestly, so many books like this have been written, but not with two guys in a loving, married relationship where that relationship is not the star itself but instead something that informs just about everything that happens in the story. Mr Sanders has a unique voice when it comes to his fiction and I like it.
This story won’t set off the sizzle meter but it will make you smile, make you feel involved in the story and invested in these characters, and you’ll get that feeling when you want to find out what’s going to happen next, whatever the context. This is a work of fiction that everyone could read and enjoy.
I enjoyed this world that JB Sanders has created, with Glen and Tyler at its core. I’ll be going back for more and I’ve already purchased book 1, as well as downloaded the freebie that coincides with it. Now that you know about this one, you can avoid my path and take the one that allows you to enjoy these two from the very beginning. I definitely recommend it. :)
The author kindly provided a review copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
It has been eons since I read the first book in this series, so I don't remember a ton of the details, but really that didn't take away from my enjoyment of this book. Sure the premise of this series is a little absurd, I mean Glen and Tyler are those too perfect characters that have everything and are too good, but yet this are somehow still endearing and fun books.
This time Glen and Tyler are off to Scotland to investigate Tyler's ancestral castle that he's inherited and see about his title. Of course then Glen can also work on his dissertation and hopefully finish up his next college degree. But no trip would be a Glen and Tyler trip with out some crazy dust up with bad guys. These two were fun and their antics were entertaining. They may be too perfect, but they still make me smile. And there were some fun Scottish history elements about this story that I did enjoy a lot as well.
This one takes off after the first book is finished. First of all I have to commend JB Sanders for NOT repeating the plot of the first book. He does not repeat or sum-up the action, which I thought was awesome. Sometimes he does a short recap of who the surrounding cast is, but that was cool, since the tapestry of characters is growing.
Okay, so not only does Tyler's dad's family come from money. His mother's side owns a castle in Dunberry, Scotland, that Tyler inherited when she died. (He was 8.) The castle has been taken care of by some sort of custodian, until Tyler was ready to deal with the castle AND the village 'belonging' to the castle. It turns out that this custodian has been doing a HORRIBLE job, in the sense that he's threatening the citizens of the village, throwing them out of their homes, raising their rent and just over-all being a despicable human-being.
But fear not, Glen and Tyler to the rescue! They receive a letter from one of the citizens and decide to take a trip. With them they have a lot of security personnel (among them James and Tim -my FAVORITE secondary characters) and 2 of Tyler's new toys. In the style from the first book, Glen and Tyler arrive and try to figure out what is going on. What started out as a problem with a greedy custodian; turns into smuggling with the Russians, caves, spies, the story of the origin of hockey (shinty), Glen trying to finish his doctoral degree in history (with a focus on shintys influence on the policies of the time), meeting Royals undercover, kilts (ohhhh, the opportunity for filthy-kilty (heh) sex here... ARGH), Tyler spending A LOT of money, but doing it for the good of the world and Glen and Tyler being an absolutely adorable couple!
This book is like the first one completely smex-free! But as noted in my review of the first book, there are 2 separate short stories (with illustrations) that make up for this. However I would really still have LOVED for Tyler and Glen to get their freak on. In this James Bond-inspired universe (with more humor AND awesome MM), it would have fit right in for their sex scenes to have been on paper (in this case e-ink). And I think it's because these two MCs are so freaking adorable and TOGETHER. There is zero angst in these books, there is NO dark past and horrible abuse. There's just these 2 guys, loving the crap out of each other and having the means and connections to do a lot of fun stuff. The connections especially play a part in this one, and I love that Tyler is completely ridiculous and still manages to get to know the right people and PISS people off at the same time.
Seriously this is such a good series (if not for the lack of smexy-times, this would have been a 5-star for me). If you're in the mood to read something light, in the sense that there is NO angst and NO horror (you still need your brain to keep up, because it's not just fluff... J.B. Sanders has written a clever, clever series), pick this one up. It really made a grey sunday, that much more fun!
This novel reminded me very much of the ’30 movie, The Thin Man, where a married couple, Nick and Nora Charles, “played” detectives while attending poshy parties (Nora is a Nob Hill heiress). The only difference is that here, Glen & Tyler are both men, and Tyler is way, way more wealthy than Nora. And how he uses his money makes this novel also similar to some James Bond movie, with all the hyper technology gadgets only in those movies you were able to see.
Really, the mood is not really different from those comedies, just pick the relationship between Glen and Tyler, they are married, so they are allowed to share a bed ;-) but the “censorship” behaves like they were in the ’30, if they are in bed together, one of them has at least one feet touching the floor, or if not, one of them is above the blanket… those were the rules at the time, and this is the rule for Glen and Tyler, they can prove they are in love in many other way, sharing secrets, exchanging kisses, bitching like only long-term couples are able to do (and considering they were friends way before getting married, they have the right to that title).
As for the gadgets, true, to an ordinary man they seem like impossible dreams, but Tyler is not an ordinary man, he is the fourth richest man in the world, and so, if he was to flight from US to Europe in a private airship… well he can, since he owns the airship; if he want to donate 50 million dollars to charity, again, for him it’s like peanuts, and they are tax deducible too.
Don’t read this series trying to find the realism in it, this is not a “serious” mystery/thriller, this is a comedy about two men with enough money and power to make their own real life video games out of everything, even attending post-graduate College in one of the oldest University in the word, and why not, making friends with some royalty too.
So buckle up and take a flight with Glen & Tyler on their airship, you will spend some hour in mindless entertainment… that is the best by the way!
I don't think I actually log here all of the times I read these books. I'm sure this is more than the third time I've read this. _____
2018 Re-Read:
Working my way through this series again, on audiobook this time. It's like comfort food. Yummy, sweet comfort food. _____
Original 2017 Review:
You ever do that thing in your head where you imagine the things you would do if you won the lottery or discovered you were the long-lost heir to a mysterious fortune? That's what these books are like. More adventure than romance, and of course Glen and Tyler are both gorgeous and brilliant and perfect, but it's just too much fun. It should be absurd, and it kind of is, but I can't even make myself care. I just love these guys. And I love these books.
Tyler is almost a computer, with his freaky memory. Glen is a lot smarter than he originally sounds. Them throwing money around, helping everyone is a lot of fun. Tyler laying the smack down is even more entertaining.
Everything is in this series....except, sex. Come on!! Guess I'll have to get the erotic tales next, because all the little teasing comments are driving me nuts. I want some sexy times.
So far this series has been full of action and fun.
This is the second adventure for Glen & Tyler. Tyler and Glen end up in Scotland where Tyler is royalty and has a village. He needs to make things right for the villagers who have been mistreated by his estate manager. Of course, things get complicated with smugglers and such. Glen and Tyler are a strong couple who really know each other well because they were friends before they married. This was another fine adventure.
A year has passed since the first Glen & Tyler book, Glen & Tyler's Honeymoon Adventure, and Glen and Tyler are even more in love and happy than ever. When Tyler finally tells Glen he not only holds a title in Scotland but also owns a castle, the two (along with their entourage) fly there to uncover a multitude of surprising events. From an angry village to secret passages that lead to dangerous secrets, Glen and Tyler are once more thrust into a deadly adventure that they just can’t seem to get out of no matter where they are.
Compared to the first book, Tyler and Glen are much more evolved in their rich lifestyle. Where Tyler was always a little shark when it came to the things that mattered to him, in this book he’s perfected the role of a highly intelligent, take-no-bullshit guy. Oh, and he’s also a little snobby when the moments call for it and accustomed to getting whatever he wants. Glen is still the sweet, gentle man that grounds Tyler but he’s also settled into being comfortable around high maintenance things. The two together still trade funny banter and sexy leers, although, they felt more like just friends for most of the book, IMO, than husbands in love. They’re still sweet and love to tease and Tyler has this thing about impressing Glen and surprising him with how Tyler handles situations. It’s adorable and always made me chuckle whenever Glen would get exasperated at Tyler and then concede that it was more fun to be surprised sometimes.
As with the previous book, my biggest complaint with this one is that the overall story is chaotic. It was hard for me to follow along and clearly understand what exactly was happening. The shift from one scene to another was jumpy and most of the time didn’t connect to the previous chapter so it made following along between one instance and another difficult. There seemed to be a lot of side stories that didn’t mean much to the overall plot except maybe to add humor or show that Glen and Tyler can still be normal guys. But, to put it bluntly, I was confused for most of the book at just what Tyler and Glen were trying to uncover and why it was so important. It was bewildering and, to be honest, I still don’t really understand what the overall goal was for the situations Tyler kept putting them in. Beyond that, there was still the issue of repetitiveness (like the constant mention of Glen’s doctorate topic in scenes that weren’t necessary or relevant to the story) and some over the top reactions to just WHO Glen and Tyler were.
Nonetheless, I won’t deny that I still enjoyed the book. It’s fast-paced and even with being confused for a majority of the story, the characters are entertaining and there’s surprisingly enough suspense spread throughout the book to keep you interested. I liked Tyler and Glen as characters and especially like that we got to see more into the side characters lives. Based on the ending, it’ll be interesting to see what Tyler has in store for us next.. I just hope the next book isn’t as confusing to follow along as this one was.
Glen & Tyler are off to Scotland when Tyler inherits a castle and village from his OTHER grandfather in the second installment of this series.
Once again, the guys have their trust security team with them and some cool high-tech transportation ;) They meet the people of the village and discover that as suspected, the agent who was supposed to be taking care of the castle and village has instead been extorting everything he can from the townspeople. Tyler wants to make things right and in the meantime discovers another mystery in the castle.
Since they need to stay to figure out the mystery of this grandfather's bequest, Glen decides to finish his doctorate in medieval history that was interrupted prior to their marriage. This leads to some very funny situations as they decide to have another "college experience" at St. Andrews and still have their security in place.
As they get closer to discovering the truth about Tyler's grandfather's past and what is currently going on in the village, Glen & Tyler find themselves in danger once more. But with the help of their security guys and all of Tyler's connections and companies, the day is saved!
I just love these guys. Their relationship is really a lot of fun and they just have a great time together. Once again, there isn't on-page sex, but we get a pretty good idea of what these boys get up to when they finally get some alone time ;) And there are kilts!
Just as funny and engrossing as the first book. Honestly these are the first books in months that I have just wanted to start and not stop until I'm finished with the book and that's a good thing! Again, if you are looking for a really fun, happy, entertaining, adorable couple that get caught up in interesting and surprising adventures, then this is the series for you.
These stories should have you going "No!", "Really??", "Never happen" but the light touch with the writing and the tongue in cheek humour makes reading them an enjoyable romp. So still fun OTT stuff. Liked that the cover for book 1 turned out to be their official portrait. Even taking things with a pinch of salt, hiding two new tech airships in a field 4 miles from their target and not being spotted did take the biscuit. All the guys are still there, supporting Tyler and Glen with a few new villagers thrown in the mix too. Definitely read in order
This book is so much fun. It has a castle, secret rooms, and gangster killers. And, the best, Glen and Tyler's great and fun relationship. Another one I reread when I am feeling low.
This was, if anything, even more fun to read than the first one. Glen and Tyler are still spectacularly sweet and keep each other grounded even in the midst of the craziness that has become their life. And the secondary characters that they surround themselves with are delightfully quirky and frequently hilarious.
On to #3!
Some Favorite Quotes: "Aren't you precious. I think it's been at least a month since I've been threatened by anyone. And you do it SO well."
Glen put his finger out towards one of the holes. Tyler grabbed his hand. "Hey now, no sticking important bits into unknown holes. First rule of adventure archaeology." Glen regarded him with a half-grin. "Archaeology? sounds more like a general life philosophy."
"We're together," Tyler said. "Together?" Amar looked confused. "Married," Glen said, a contented smile on his face, looking at Tyler. "Married!?" Amar looked confused and shocked. "I'm his husband," Tyler said. "He's my husband," Glen said. "We're married," Tyler was grinning now. "Yeah, you said that, you goof." Glen grinned back.
Glen made a noise like "deedle-doo, deedle-doo". Tyler popped open one eye. Glen was waving all the fingers on both hands. "What the hell are you doing?" Tyler said with exasperation. Glen stopped moving. "Uh, the flashback noise?"
Some parts in the 2nd book almost had me giggle on the train. The cast of characters got bigger and with more personality although I didn't get confused at all about who was who. Again I alternated between reading and listening to the audio, and I must say I really like how the VO talent impersonated James' and Tim's voices. The Scottish and Russian accent for some of the side characters made the book really come alive. I also love how there are many happy couples in this book. Glen and Tyler are really building a circle of new friends and family along their adventure. I really look forward to what trouble they will get into next in book three.
Like the first one this book is completely over the top and funny. It works since the book doesn't take itself to seriously and actually tries to find things that aren't believable and put them into the story. This time Glen gets more of the spotlight and shines on how is more than just a jock. He gets to use his history studies to help find out more about Tyler's home and how to get into the secret room. Of course it is a little absurd his line of medieval games as a focus for study but it is fun. There is also the standard kilt fun and evil bad guys.
Tyler is almost a computer, with his freaky memory. Glen is a lot smarter than he originally sounds. Them throwing money around, helping everyone is a lot of fun. Tyler laying the smack down is even more entertaining. This is another OTT adventure for my favorite couple. I loved this book just as much as the first one! It has everything that I love: action, adventure, sexy guys. I can't wait to read about their next adventure!
Like the previous book, this is so over the top, you have to take it with a full tablespoon of salt. The thriller-esque portions are good but no one is ever hurt nor even in danger for long. Though at the end of the final climactic danger scene, there are a couple of sentences that give me a little of that "OMG he's gonna die" feeling. A tiny bit...
Resolutions to issues are simple and perfect and the amount of money he has is so ridiculous he can buy anything. What he wants to do would, in the real world, lose his companies money or take them to low profit status and investors would pull out. Then the companies would go under. The changes do need to be made but it's a hell of a lot harder and more expensive to fix these things than to have started the progressive work from the beginning. But of course not only does everything work out perfectly, it's fast because there's always someone at hand who the MCs trust who can take over and fix everything that money can't.
The book is still fun like the last one, but a little less surreal, more of a real story, and there's alot more tenderness, sweetness, and love than before making it feel more like a romance without making the boys something they're not.
Notes:
Awesome acknowledging morning breath.
That painting sounds so tacky.
Wow, I looked up those airships--how cool!
God I love Scotland.
All that stuff he did to find out who Ms. Putnam was was highly illegal and in my opinion and probably most Americans, immoral.
Living in is asinine.
Omniscient narration usually really bothers me but there's not much head hopping since it's sometimes hard to see if it's from anyone's point of view. I think the whole book is supposed to be Glen but there is at least one part where it's a minor female character's.
Omg, I would have run from Jonathan on sight. How annoying his constantly talking period English would be!
Doctor Who reference without using the title. Only someone who's seen the shoe would get it. Nice.
Yea! Glen isn't just a pretty face and scholar. I love that he took over tactical operations when Tyler and James weren't there.
If you hate when characters doing stupid things or making stupid decisions, you will be happy with this book. Glen & Tyler are very smart and reasonable. They do not hesitate to use their wealth and connections to solve problems and make things easier. Of course, there are times when they try to live like normal people, but when needed, they go full force. Besides, they are very generous with everyone (the good ones anyway). They don't mind giving away money to help others. They care about everyone's problems, no matter how trivial.
In this book, Glen & Tyler have their adventure in Scottish Highlands. They travel in style. They cross path with Russian gangster (again). There are mysteries of Tyler's maternal grandfather that needed to be solved. I enjoy the mystery solving, and the discovery of secret passages. Besides, I like the interaction of Glen & Tyler with many supporting characters.
I also love the relationship between Glen & Tyler. You can see the depth of their relationship and how comfortable they are with each other. They have fun and joke with each other all the time. They talk about sex openly, but the sex scenes are off the page.
The audiobook is amazing. I have a thing for Scottish Highland brogue. The narrator Brian Rollins nailed all the different accents and dialects perfectly. Each character has unique voice and accent. He can suck you right into the story.
You will enjoy this book if you love light enjoyable story, smart characters, incredible adventure, mystery solving (Indiana Jones style), and an unusual lifestyle of gay billionaires.
Despite this being the second in a series, I didn’t feel lost without reading the first book in the series. Granted, there were a few references I’m sure I’d have understood better if I had read book one first, but I never felt like I was missing out.
It was an amusing mystery story in the vein of Agatha Christy or Sherlock Holmes, except the MC just happens to be gay. There were more than a few nods to classical detectives throughout the book. Essentially Tyler is Donald Trump's some evil dude's grandson, who inherits his multi-billion dollar empire and decides to do as much good with it as he can in order to counteract the horrible dealings that came before him. He and his husband travel to Scotland to take ownership of Tyler's castle and accompanying village. Hijinks ensue with secret passageways and a Russian smuggling outfit.
Yeah, Tyler being richer than God means that he can pull crazy things out of his butt at a moment's notice. Yeah, everything neatly came together with a handy classical monologue of how Tyler figured everything out. But it was just clean fun. I liked Tyler and especially his husband, Glen. I loved it when the 3rd person narrative followed his POV the best. I enjoyed the side characters, though I'm not sure why Angela's storyline ever made an appearance. The townspeople we met were well-fleshed, and the Fisherman's Society was interesting - I liked the way Tyler pulled that together.
After rather brat-ily treating myself to this, I rushed through it despite having several other significant things I should have been working on. I didn't dislike Angela as much by the end as I did around 37%. ;-) I like the first one better - this felt rather more hastily written - but it was fun and I'm looking forward to the next two.
ETA: On further reflection and a conversation with my husband, I am upgrading this to 4 stars. While there can be no doubt that this is extremely "fluffy" reading - and is intended to be just that - there are also constant signs that Mr. Sanders has done thorough and consistent (that one's big with me) character planning. My favorite example from this particular book is the episode with the environmentalist and Tyler's caveat to how her job must be handled. Well done, sir.
This story is so whacky and over the top...but that's what kept me reading. :)
Glen and Tyler are adorable together. Their lives are blissfully unrealistic but that's the fun part. The author created a story and characters for us to get lost in, have adventures with and laugh with. What would you do if you inherited billions? The author writes that fantasy in this story and I respect that.
This book is soooo everywhere with its plot twists and mystery but I couldn't help but finish reading once I started just like the first book. Heck, I went as far as to download a Kindle app on my nook and set up an account to download boom 2 cause Barnes and Noble didn't have the ebook version. Total pain but worth the price.
Sadly my fantasy of a threesome between Glen, Tyler and Tim will never come to pass. Lol 4 stars
A great follow up to Glen & Tyler's Honeymoon Adventure - Glen and Tyler are still awesome characters, plenty of action, some mystery, and a healthy dose of history.
Kudos to Sanders for stepping things up - the editing was improved (since I mentioned it the first time around, it's only fair to comment), and the spy plot line was nestled better than before and more coherent. All we need are a couple more of the bedroom scene extras, and I'll be a very happy camper indeed.
Ahhh Tyler *sigh*, you're starting to look like a Marty Sue to me. A very funny, endearing Marty Sue, but one nonetheless. He's a Mr.-Know-it-all in a gay billionaire's body and his adventures (and notice, I didn't include Glen because Glen isn't as ridiculous) are as outrageously over the top as a rainbow--painted, glitter-covered unicorn.
Other than that, I think this book was just as good, if not better, than the first one. I loved the James Bond/Hardy Boys thing going on, and Glen & Tyler are as generous as ever that it's not hard to see why their people (LOL they have people) love them. If only there were more Glen & Tyler in the world.
The book reminded me of superhero genre on how Glen and Tyler managed what happened in the book.
The tone was not far from the first book which is to mean that this is also an enjoyable read. I wondered if it was some wishful thinking on the author's part for a real life Glen & Tyler to watch out for the good people.
An easy read that flow like water from pages to pages. Like the other reviewer said, this is not to be taken seriously (although I find that the quality of writing is above some other authors that seemed to churn books out on rote).
