Hallefuckinglujah.

You have no idea how many crap fics I've been ploughing my way through this week (but basically most weeks). A fuckton of kudos does not make a good fic. I wish ao3 weren't so darn illogical.

So imagine my maniacal laughter delight when I came across this fun-packed, fast-paced, witty, sexy little ride!

This right here is what I'm kissing all those frogs for.

"Did you know that there are twenty-three blond cadets at the Academy?"

The abrupt change of topic confused Jim. "Um, no?"

"I did not know, as well, but thanks to you, I am now in possession of that useless information, because I cannot help but seek you among cadets."

This is ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous and vastly amusing. My eyes are burning a bit from lack of sleep but this was so worth staying up for. Pretty sappy, adorable, and sex that is a tad on the kinky side with almost exhibitionism.

Jim made a sad face. "You are a cruel, mean Vulcan. I kinda wanted a puppy, you know."

Spock pulled him closer. "I do not think an overexcited puppy and you are a good combination," he said, kissing him on the temple.

I absolutely adore it and so need more from this author.

3.5* An enjoyable read though the pacing seems a bit fast at times. Maybe it's because there is not much self-introspection on Jim's part … which also makes his attraction to Spock not so convincing; the latter may just be my personal interpretation of the him coloring my opinion and expectation.

Eesh I tried this one twice. Definitely not my style. Kirk was horribly immature and not in a char my kinda way.

This is one of those fics that I think is best when not taken seriously. Otherwise, you'll quickly become annoyed with Jim's flippancy and hypersexual personality and just generally find him annoying. If, however, you relax the reins a bit, this fic is equal parts hilarious and fun and well worth reading for the laugh it'll give you.
