HE SWORE TO STAY FREE! Known far and wide as the owner of the greatest traveling wild west show since Buffalo Bill Cody, "Cherokee" Ross Sheldon knew a challenge when he saw one! And the golden-haired temptress, wielding a mop in the New England tavern as if it were a six-shooter, was the most dangerous filly he'd ever laid eyes on. Ross wanted to taste those honey lips and roam her creamy curves; he ached to see her coppery brown eyes glowing with the desire only he could awaken. And though he knew he'd be riding away at dawn, he just had to spend one night teaching her the sweet joys of Cherokee's Caress

Interesting how this is listed as Women of the West when at no time does anyone in this story leave New England.
Widow Sabrina James, following circumstances you would only find in a historical romance, ends up joining Buffalo Bill's famous wild west show. After only a few lessons, Sabrina takes top billing as the sharpshooter 'Buckskin Kitty Tremaine'.
'Cherokee' Ross Sheldon, he of the said caress in the title, owns a rival show. He and Sabrina had previously been romantically involved but he went off and left her. Now he must work to win her back.
This is one of the few Westerns I have read and now I will undoubtedly read more. It is an interesting look into the Wild West Shows put on by legends like Buffalo Bill. Sabrina is an Annie Oakley-like character who is running away after being wrongfully accused of a murder and hides out with Buffalo Bill. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Overall, I enjoyed the novel, but the proofreader missed several misspellings and punctuation mistakes. Not sure how these mistakes are normally identified, but in this instance, there a few missed. On a positive note, the h/h were well suited for each other. Will, no doubt, read another book by this author.
