I read "Pankha" and "Sharda Sangeet" so long ago that I had forgotten not only its title and characters but even the fact that I had read it at all. Yet, fragments of Lampan's life would occasionally surface in my mind, like fleeting moments from a dream, leaving me to wonder why these memories lingered and where they came from.
Imagine my utter surprise and satisfaction when I came across my dad watching the adaptation on Sony Liv. Suddenly, it all came rushing back, along with the emotions the book once stirred in me.
The stories in these books aren't stories that you follow for their plot; rather, it's a masterful piece of writing, observant and sensitive. The narrative touches you deeply without even trying, leaving an indelible mark on your soul.
As usual brilliant. Lampan's Curiosity, Observations his innocence make anybody fall in love wid him. Like others Pankha is also books of different stories probably of the characters he has coem across. 'Pool' is the best of it!!!!
Detailing in the topics is a feature of Sant's Vanvas series. There is very few literature available in Marathi highlighting adolescence's life & their thoughts/views about people & small little things happening in their lives..few stories like Patch, Dug, Safai, Pool, Pahunya are wonderful...
