Mitsuru Adachi

After graduating from Gunma Prefectural Maebashi Commercial High School in 1969, Adachi worked as an assistant for Isami Ishii. He made his manga debut in 1970 with Kieta Bakuon, based on a manga originally created by Satoru Ozawa. Kieta was published in Deluxe Shōnen Sunday (a manga magazine published by Shogakukan).
Adachi is well known for romantic comedy and sports manga (especially baseball) such as Touch, H2, Slow Step, and Miyuki. He has been described as a writer of "delightful dialogue", a genius at portraying everyday life, "the greatest pure storyteller", and "a master manga artist". He is one of the few manga artists to write for shōnen, shōjo, and seinen manga magazines, and be popular in all three.
His works have been carried in manga magazines such as Weekly Shōnen Sunday, Ciao, Shōjo Comic, Big Comic, and Petit Comic, and most of his works are published through Shogakukan and Gakken. He was one of the flagship authors in the new Monthly Shōnen Sunday magazine which began publication in June 2009. Only two short story collections, Short Program and Short Program 2 (both through Viz Media), have been released in North America, though Viz is scheduled to begin publishing Cross Game in October 2010.
He modeled the spelling of あだち (rather than 安達) for his family name after the example of his older brother, manga artist Tsutomu Adachi. In addition, it has been suggested that the accurate portrayal of sibling rivalry in Touch may come from Adachi's experiences while growing up with his older brother. Adachi did the character designs for the OVA anime series Nozomi Witches, so he is sometimes incorrectly given credit for creating the original series.

More youth drama.
World: The art is very Adachi, the lines are simple the characters stylish and the emotions subtle and big at the same time when needed. The world building is small and contained and only there to set the stage for the drama.
Story: Typical high school drama with a little bit of baseball. It's very clichéd now but this was the granddaddy of there and so it feels nice. I love the pacing and the balance of humor and those subtle looks that the brothers and Minami give to each other. The wedding stuff was kinda nice and was a classic moment for this series.
Characters: Nice little character moments with looks and nods. Fun snappy humor and dialog. Good genre stuff.
Solid development for more drama to come.

Once again Adachi shows his masterful way of dealing with relationships. Not a lot of baseball for now so even people who are not interested in the sports will have a great experience reading this volume.

While certain dialogues exhibit emotional depth and impactful scenes, the author essentially lacks proficient skills in resolving climax conflicts. These high-tension moments often conclude with abrupt resolutions, such as character deaths, departures, or changes in actions without clear reasons.

Es un spokon ( manga deportivo ) que disfruté muchisimo xq tiene un punto de romance que hace muy agradable su leectura. Me lo compre por nostalgia y me hizo rememorar el anime de mi juventud

Dengan artwork yang sangat terkesan sekali jadul, Adachi-sensei memperlihatkan kepiawaiannya dalam membawakan cerita cinta segitiga dengan selipan lelucon ringan yang sederhana.

Inilah seri kedua dari Adachi Mitsuru versi jadul. Dengan gaya gambar yang masih sangat antik, Adachi mulai menunjukkan kegemilangan talentanya dalam menulis love comedy. Dengan topik yang sederhana : cinta segitiga, Adachi leluasa menyajikan kelucuan setiap beberapa halaman (that conforms to the comedic writing recipe of Isman Suryaman, the writer of Bertanya atau Mati).
Plot besar dari cerita ini belum bisa ditebak, tidak seperti "Conan" yang plot besarnya adalah usaha Shinichi Kudo kembali ke wujud pemuda sembari menumpas gerombolan baju hitam, atau "Naruto" yang plot besarnya adalah usaha Naruto menjadi Hokage, menyelamatkan sahabatnya Uchiha Sasuke, dan menumpas Akatsuki. Justru ketiadaan plot besar ini menjadi senjata bagi Mitsuru untuk bercanda disana sini.
Suatu titik terang, sejumlah indikasi terlihat bahwa tokoh utama dari serial ini adalah Uesugi Tatsuya yang berbakat dan pemalas, bukan saudaranya yang pintar, rajin dan bugar. Akankah Tatsuya dipasangkan dengan dengan Asakura Minami? Belum tentu.
Dengan dua tokoh laki-laki dan dua tokoh perempuan, kita masih harus menerka siapa yang nantinya akan menjadi pasangan. Itu sudah cukup menjadi alasan untuk membeli edisi ketiga dari serial ini.

I feel sorry for Tatsuya at the beginning; he is always compared to his oh-so-great twin brother. But Kazuya is a nice guy, and they get along well. And Tatsuya is very lazy, and a bit of a perv sometimes. It is quite obvious he will the the girl at the end.
I hope to understand baseball a little more. Not much of the sport so far. I am a fan of this kind of art, so old-school.

Alright manga so far, I mostly recommend this for baseball fans⚾️This has a pretty decent story other than the baseball 😁⚾️💕
