• where a mysterious lover fulfills a secret fantasy - and finds his own dream come true. • where a disappointed woman finds true love - in the most unlikely of places. • where the bride and groom have second thoughts - but discover a happy-ever-after beyond their wildest dreams.
Jessica and Ryan's engagement seems like a match made in heaven and their island wedding a dream come true. But will Jess's desire for the perfect wedding - and the stress of everything going wrong - drive them apart? Or can Ryan's determination to marry the woman he loves save the day?
Entertaining finish to the Wedding trilogy. We actually get to the Wedding in this edition told through both characters narrating. The prior books we saw the others view points of the wedding preparations, and the bride and groom falling apart under the stress. Now we know why it was so stressful, especially for the bride. There are still some annoying side characters, but they don't detract from the story this time. It is an adult love story, and refreshing that as the stress becomes too much, the couple really evaluate whether they should complete the marriage. More importantly, what is a marriage really? Is it more than a big wedding, or growing old with someone.
Continuing the story of Ryan & Jess's Journey to the altar. With everything that can go wrong seeming to do just that, Jess is at her wit's end. As a wedding planner, it's vitally important that her own wedding, which is being blogged and reported on, go off without a hitch to demonstrate how good she is at her job. When it all gets to be too much for her, she ends up calling off the wedding entirely. Fortunately Ryan is unwilling to give her up and is determined to make her wedding the beautiful event that she dreamed of, excellent story, beautiful HEA. Best of the series! A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion.
The Wedding Anthology - 4 stars The Best Man - 4 stars Always A Bridesmaid - 3.5 stars Forever Bound - 4.25 stars
Book 3 of The Wedding Anthology, this anthology was a light (but steamy) book. Perfect for a read by the pool or anytime you need a quick, easy/sexy CR read. While there was a storyline with a plot, it was definitely not complex. These three books are parallel, telling the stories of couples in the wedding party and a few of the guests that occurred at the same time. I recommend reading all three to get the full story and some different POVs.
Forever Bound - The author saved the best for last. This was the best of the three, with The Best Man a close second place. Really liked the Hero & heroine in this story. Jessica (Jess) and Ryan were the happy couple who weren't so happy. The closer to the big day, the more miserable they became. I'd say it was pretty realistic, showing what the stress of planning a wedding can do to a couple. I enjoyed the wrap-up of Jake & Christine's story, thought there should have been a wrap-up or at least a follow-up of Fiona & Kade, and the HEA for Jess & Ryan.
It was a nice ending to the trilogy. Ryan really proved himself in this one. Jess is a lucky, lucky girl. (I don't know about her mother in law though ... Hahaha!)
