I remember the first time I was introduced to the world of Wrush and was dragged into the crazy fold of characters. It was maniacal, beautiful, dangerous and just an amazing place that shows the creativity of a child's mind if left uncurbed. This book brings all that wonder and danger back in full flow, bring along with it the difficulty of friendship and fighting for what you believe in.
A great book that shows the strength of character that Tabetha has, as well as the work that is sometimes required to bring things together. Sometimes what some people want is not what they need. It can be hard to know the difference.
I loved the growth that the characters had and the callbacks to the first book making it a fun and rewarding look back into the world of rush.
My favorite part was when the pump dragons came back. My least favorite part was when Tabetha died, and was not able to be saved, but at least she turned into a tree afterwards, instead of being gone completely.

I remember when I first read this book! I had found out about it through some of my schoolmates, and I remember wanting nothing more than to read it but my parents not agreeing. Then The Karakul came to my old elementary school to host a little assembly about the recent release of his new book, the second volume of "Wrush". I was chosen to read to the school principal and thus was able to get free copies of both volumes, both signed by The Karakul. I was ecstatic. However, life decided to take another turn and even though I enjoyed this volume, I enjoyed the first much more. The second volume is action-packed, more intense and exciting than the first, but I was absolutely devastated at the end. So I just can't bring myself to rate this as a very good book.
This book follows Wrush, The worlds of Tabetha Bright and it is enthralling! I couldn't put it down. Wanted to continue to read it after I put the kids to bed! Refrained though so that I would experience the book with my children. Totally trusted where it was going and what message was for us in the end. Totally wonderful, and a book to forever cherish. My kids read plenty of other books on their own and they still refer back to this one! Very powerful in their consciousness.
Picks up a few weeks after the first book ended. Pretty good plot, the second half was definitely more enjoyable. Characterization could have been better but was alright. The ending of this is pretty sad, if your child is under ten I would recommend discussing it with them if they read it. Overall enjoyed this, but it's not my favourite middle grade book. If your kid likes adventure stories I would say give it a try because you never know what sticks for kids. :D
