And it seems more punishment is coming one of Logan’s children is missing. Skye is determined to do her part to make it right—by journeying all the way to Valhalla to meet a fate from which Morgan may not be able to save her. This novel contains explicit nookie on a kitchen table, graphic language in one or more dialects, and a Fate worth living for.
Dana Marie Bell wrote her first short story when she was thirteen years old. She attended the High School for Creative and Performing Arts for creative writing, where freedom of expression was the order of the day. When her parents moved out of the city and placed her in a Catholic high school for her senior year she tried desperately to get away, but the nuns held fast, and she graduated with honors despite herself.
Dana has lived primarily in the Northeast (Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, to be precise), with a brief stint on the US Virgin Island of St. Croix. She lives with her soul-mate and husband Dusty, their two maniacal children, an evil ice-cream stealing cat and a bull terrier that thinks it’s a Pekinese.
Now that Morgan Grimm finally has the woman of his dreams within reach, nothing will stand in his way of claiming the Fate he’s wanted for centuries in this spectacular mythological fantasy romance. The author twists elements of Norse Mythology, the past and the present into a fascinating world with some unique and interesting elements and a group of gods that capture the heart in such a way that the readers will keep coming back for more and I was completely bewitched from the very beginning even though, I haven’t read the other books in the series which I have to point out that while I certainly enjoyed this one it would have been nice to know the events that lead up to this point so I will be getting right on that.

Heather's Notes I enjoyed this story. I like Sky and enjoyed their journey. I would have liked a little more explanation at the end, but overall a good story.
Morgan has always loved Skuld, but it was not meant to be…until it was. Sky is human or is she? She has always had visions but are they more? Morgan’s Fate is fourth in Dana Marie Bell’s True Destiny series. I enjoyed getting to know Morgan better. He has been intertwined with his twin up to this point so I was glad that Ms. Bell was ready to show us him as an individual. Skye has lost her life not once but twice. Everything she thought she knew as an illusion and learning to trust isn’t easy. I love that Ms. Bell did not make her coming into this crazy fold immediate. Skye had to find her way and with Morgan’s support she is.
This story continues to build upon the layers Ms. Bell has crafted. It definitely need to be read in chronological order. Ms. Bell answers some things while raising even more questions. This story is enjoyable and well written. I can’t wait to see where Ms. Bell will take us next.
This is not an easy series to read or follow. Best read from the beginning without a break to keep characters in their places. Having not read the previous book due to it being M/M, I struggled to remember names and actions of characters, of which there are an awful lot, without getting confused. I think I am giving up on this series. As much as I love the complexities of the plots and the intertwining of gods and their egotistical behaviour, I am finding the lack of softness a turn off for me. A lot of nasty behaviour I don’t want to read about. Far prefer other series by this author.

Thoughts: As a fan of Dana Marie Bell's Halle Shifters series, I was eager try out another book of hers from a different series. This is book #4 in the series and I was a bit leery since I usually like to start from the beginning when it comes to books that tie together. But this one sounded so interesting I figured I would give it a shot and hope for the best.
To be honest, I didn't like it as much as her Halle Shifter series. It was interesting and a novel idea, but there a few things that bothered me about it. First off, it was a bit hard to get into - and keep up with - what was going on if you hadn't read the whole series. It's further complicated by the fact that there are sooo many names to try to keep up with - as well as who is what to whom when it comes to their relationships and family trees! For the most part it was very confusing.
Another issue for me was the fact that really not alot was focused on the main characters and their acceptance of the desire they had been fighting for centuries. The relationship was just really a side note on the state of events and what was happening in the bigger picture. While that was enjoyable, I really missed the capacity that these characters had to connect with one another. I missed getting to know the characters themselves within the book.
If you're not already a fan of the series, I would recommend starting at the beginning. And if your new to Dana Marie Bell's works, I wouldn't judge all of her books on this one.
Overall, not my favorite of her works. It's easy to get lost within the mythology and the complexity of the relationships - and forget why you care that these two characters in particular.

Personally, I don't enjoy giving "SPOILERS" as a rule, so I believe the general synopsis above or on the book flap if it's a hard copy should give you all the pertinent information you need. I do include the basics under synopsis though. If you'd like to know my overall thoughts & feelings regarding the book or author, please check the "Personal Opinion" section. Also, if this is a book in a series, under "Characters," you'll most likely find a fu-bo list. While reading, authors tend to introduce us to numerous characters and I find I wonder if they will get their own book, so I decided to include this with my review to be helpful. If the character has a fu-bo already out, it will be listed. I will try not to include "SPOILERS" if there are any. And now to my review:
General Synopsis: This is the fourth book in Dana Marie Bell's [ True Destiny ] series, revolving around the Norse myths and legends, and focuses on the romance between Morgan Grimm (aka Modi), son of Thor and Skylar Kincade (the Norn Skuld), who has forgotten her past.
Personal Opinion: I have another favorite quote: "I like storming the castle. You either get the dragon or the princess. Either way, you win.” - Magnus.
Think about it. It's true.
So, A LOT happens in this book, & we see a bit of foreshadowing for the books to come. I always get excited when I read about fu-bos, but that might just be me. There is some sad news for any fellow fans out there. . . No Vicente in this book, merely a casual mention. I know, I know. *sigh*
I'm a huge DMB fan, I'll read anything she writes and I love everything she's done but this book was just not up to her usual standard for me. It's not that it's not a good book I just found that it became complicated and hard to follow.
Perhaps I'm just not in the right state of mind or I'm too busy to keep track of what's going on. I've mentioned before that this series was very different from anything I've read, the characters are all Norse Gods and most of them have two names (some of which I can't even begin to figure out how to pronounce) so I found it very difficult to keep track. I mean the regular characters, Logan, Kir, Grimm, Morgan I know who's who but some of the others become all jumbled. Also I found it difficult to follow the prophesies and ended up skimming through all the stuff in italics.
I also didn't like the way Skye got her memory back. It was so quick, she didn't really struggle to get it back and Morgan didn't have to win her love, which left the passion lacking for me. I just didn't connect to Morgan and Skye like I did with Jordan, Kir and Logan or Travis and Jamie. But, having said that, I didn't dislike the characters either. Skye is witty and cute, you want to protect her and I enjoyed her banter with the guys. I've always liked Morgan, but I must say I like Magnus way more.
I think the biggest problem for me with this book was that there was just too much going on that had nothing to do with Morgan and Skye, and the romance became a second thought, done quickly and with little passion. That's why I'm more keen for Magnus' book. I could do with a good M/M/F book and from the sounds of it, it's going to be an interesting one.
I so, so love this series. Dana has researched and stayed true to the spirit of Norse mythology while giving it a modern twist. I love that I have switched in the manic style only allowed by e-books, to checking between her stories and wikipedia norse mythology and have had that research only enhance the story experience.
In true Norse style the stories are magic and mythic and tragic. You care about the characters and mourn, laugh, hurt and cry with them. But be warned, the tragedy is dark. Always hopeful which is how I can read it, but the characters go through a lot.
Her stories are at their heart romances of different gender and number combinations. This one in particular was an m-f and a worthy addition to the series.
This is centered around Skye and Morgan, one a Norse God, heir to Thor and the other the Norne Skuld, seer of the future. The nice thing about these stories is that although they are about Gods, they are written as intimate family tales. Skye and Morgan were a fine couple, but their romance was pretty simple. What made the story worth reading was the crazy and very funny interactions of the family that surrounded them. Dana makes the family very relateable and fun amidst the mytholgy. They care and are as invested in the couples success as thr couple is.
So... I have to say, this book has tied with Howl For Me as my favourite of this series so far.
I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book. I wanted to see what would happen, but I didn't want it to end, since there are currently no more books in this series.
I loved most of the banter in the book, but there was some repetition - 'Kir, stay' and the whole plan A-1 thing.
I hate Odin. I really hope he will end up dying soon. I did like the whole thing with the prophecy - I didn't see that coming.
Morgan and Skye/Skuld worked really well together. I could believe in their relationship and it was really sweet. I was quite happy with how things worked out between them.
I felt sorry for poor Sleipnir. I can't even imagine what he must have gone through. I'm looking forward to reading his book - and I'd like to see more of his relationship with his father. There is a lot of potential for angst there.
It is nice that characters from the previous books are so prominent in the rest of the series, but the relationships are beginning to get complicated. And it's difficult to keep track of who's who. Still, I'm really enjoying this. And I hope the next book will come out soon.
Fantastic story, you can never go wrong with one of her books.
The only thing that bothers is it can be confusing at times trying to keep up with characters.
~ Who they are, their god names verses their mortal names. While reading it does go back and forth at times. And there are lots of characters to keep up with. Also I google constantly to read up on Norse mythology to keep up with it all. So many gods and goddesses make apprentices.
~ How every one is related can also be confusing. They're all kinda related. Step something, cousins/brothers/sisters marrying others that are already not necessarily blood related but related by marriage, and divorced people marrying others. Its like a Jerry Springer episode. Its damn confusing. I would love if the author made a family tree and gave backgrounds on the characters. It would make it an easier read for everyone.
Nonetheless I loved this book/series! Can't wait for the next one.
This series seems to just get better and better with each book! Dana Marie Bell is on of my favorite authors because not only are he stories amazingly well written and researched but you are dying to know what happens next! The repertoire with not only the main characters but the other as well is what keeps the storyline fun and interesting for you to be interested in each persons story. I love a series in which not a single book disappoints of you!
Continuing on with the saga in book 4 and it’s getting better and better. I also find myself looking up Norse mythology in conjunction with this book so thank you for expanding my mind. It’s a great series, Thor’s twin sons prominent in this book and the next. Hilarious scenes trying to find mjolnir (Thor’s hammer, which I’m sure I’ve spelt incorrectly!). Lovely, sexy little read.
Confusing and fascinating, but what else can you expect from Nordic mythology? *hides ignorant Nordic head in shame* I really need to take notes as I go! In fact, I really need to reread the whole series.
Another good addition to the series. I didn't like it as much as the others. It wasn't as in depth and I didn't feel much of a connection to the leads. That may have been because it was shorter than the previous ones. Still a good read though.
I love this series, Dana Marie Bell's wild takeon Norse mythology is fun and endearing. There are some laugh out loud moments, and a evil adversary that you love to hate. A perfect light read.
This was cute but it was a little slow at times and honestly seemed to be simultaneously rushed and too long. Some of the mythology is getting overly convoluted for such short books though.
