The game has always cast a shadow over Oriana Delgado's life. She should hate the game. But she doesn't. The passion and the energy of the sport is part of her. But so is the urge to drop the role of the Dartmouth Cobra owner's 'good daughter' and find a less...conventional one.
Playmaker, Max Perron, never expected a woman to accept him and his twisted desires. Oriana came close, but he wasn't surprised when she walked away. A girl like her needs normal. Which he can't give her. He's too much of a team player, and not just on the ice.
But then Oriana's father goes too far in trying to control her and she decides to use exposure as blackmail. Just the implication of her spending the night with the Cobra's finest should get her father to back off.
Turns out a team player is exactly what she needs.
Warning
This ebook contains material not suitable for readers under 18. In also contains scenes that some may find objectionable, including BDSM, ménage sex, bondage, anal sex, sex toys, double penetration, voyeurism, edge play, and hockey equipment being used inappropriately.
Tell you about me? Hmm, well there's not much to say. I love hockey and cars and my kids…not in that order of course! Lol! When I'm not writing—which isn't often—I'm usually watching a game or a car show while working on promo. Going out with my kids is my only down time. I get to clear my head and forget everything.
As for when and why I first started writing, I guess I thought I'd get extra cookies if I was quiet for awhile—that's how young I was. I used to bring my grandmother barely legible pages filled with tales of evil unicorns. She told me then that I would be a famous author.

WARNING: this is a rage review that will probably make no sense whatsoever. There is a very distinct possibility that I will repeat myself several times.
Let's put aside the fact that the MC sleeps with 4+ men. At the same time. (Which would be really messy, time consuming and overall confusing if you ask me.)
Let's put aside the fact that the MC is a blabbering idiot who can't think for herself and apparently aspires to be a doormat.
Let's put aside the fact that her father is one of the biggest assholes on the planet. (I mean, who doesn't tell his daughter when her boyfriend is cheating on her ? Who lets this happen in his own offices ? And most of all, WHO THE FUCK TELLS HIS DAUGHTER IT'S HER FAULT IF HER BOYFRIEND IS CHEATING ON HER ? Because, oh my god, she apparently wasn't good enough for him in bed.)
Let's put aside the fact that the MC's boyfriend is a complete douchebag.
Let's put aside the fact that the MC was basically dating the asshole for money.
All this would be fine if the book wasn't such a giant mess of, well, everything. You see, as I've mentioned before, the MC suddenly decides that sleeping with several men at the same time is a good idea. There's one guy she's in love with (I think ?), there's one guy who hates her (although I have no idea why) and she doesn't know any of the others.
Now, don't ask me to give me the names of the guys who love and hate her, BECAUSE I AM LITERALLY INCAPABLE OF IT. Why, you ask ? Simple. They have multiple names. Or so it seems. Oriana (that's the MC's name) decides to sleep with 4 (or was it 5 ?) guys. That would be confusing all on its own, but the author, for some reason, decided that it would be great to call each guy by his name once, his last name another time, then back to his name, etc.
So basically, we have: Max, TJ, Tyler, Callahan, Sloan, Dominik, and some other dudes whose names I can't remember.
AT LEAST GIVE US EACH CHARACTER'S FULL NAME ONCE, Ms Sommerland.
Grabbing her kindle, pressing it against her chest, letting off a breathy sigh—she smiles.
Oh yes, this book was that good!
Not only will I be reading it again in the very near future, but I’m pretty damned sure I will be poking at Bianca for the second book. I read a whole lot of BDSM romance. It is my thing, my kink, and the finer point in my days, aside from playing with the hubs. When a story is really well done, it rings teases of reality that make me so happy. Not only did Bianca do a great job and mixing in the finer points of the game of hockey, but she opened up the doors to a multi partner relationship. The emotional pulls had my heart opening wide to each character. Not one character was left behind, even the supporting cast, as the dive deeper into this erotic romance. I felt each emotion, painted perfect pictures of each face in my mind. Bianca writes with an easy flowing style that is very natural and makes it very easy to fall head first into her stories.
It isn’t often that I want to become a character in a book, but god I wanted to be Oriana. It really helps that I am a forum ‘bunny’ and hockey player myself. Oh yes, I went through a phase were I ONLY dated hockey players! Not one was a Dom! Well, if he was he did a great job at keeping it secret. The elements of the game were so well written, I felt like I was actually watching the game or listening to it on the radio. I was biting my nails and giggling as the plays were set up and executed. BRILLIANT! If you are a fan of hockey and erotic romances, this is the book for you!
Let me break some stuff down for you here. See, each male character, is like a puzzle piece to building the perfect man. First we have Max, Oh sweet Max how you fulfill the voyeur in me and make me want to be watched by you all night long. Sloan, do Lordy Sloan how you bring out the wicked masochist in me. I want the belt, I want the pain, and I want the sweet release of agony that only Sloan can provide. Dominik, my beloved Dom that can silence me with a look, and punish me into such blissful submission. Tyler, oh sweet sweet Tyler, how I want to violate you in so many wicked ways! T.J., why do you get the feeling he is horrible misunderstood Each man made a whole that would become the perfect Dom in my eyes. Tyler added an element to the play that made me whimper as I read it. Oh, he knew his place even if he didn’t say it.
Give me more Bianca any day! And I will buy her books till I go into the poor house. Expertly executed BDSM play! And you will not be disappointed as a hockey fan, or a BDSM aficionado.
**I received a copy for review. This review is also posted on kinkybookreviews.com**
I do like Hockey. I do like smut. I like smutty hockey. But I’m not sure what I read when I read this book and I can only say that you should read at your own discretion or if you enjoy the Holy WTF level of WTFdom. What you should read is my review though because this alone is not enough to draw an opinion upon.
I had a big issue with this book and it is how the guys treated Oriana. She went from being in a committed relationship to an ass to a night with 5 guys where anything went, where 3 of the guys were proclaimed Dom's, yet they went past her limits and it wasn't just that one night. Often later on the Dom's weren't putting her and her needs first, putting her at the center. Yes Oriana was new to the life, she pushed them, but they didn't seem to follow the central D/s theory. It didn't help that the 3 men all had their kink in different specialties, while Oriana was up for anything. At one point one of the guys mentioned that it was like she went from the kiddies rides to the ones that scare the crap out of you, the ones that make you puke, with no warming up. And often that is what was happening. She wanted to try out all these new things, the guys were up for it, but she often ended up scared and overwhelmed. Oriana, herself and that action is also why this book wasn't as good for me.
What I did find very interesting was how the GM of the hockey team is building a team that enjoys bdsm, D/s, hoping that this behavior builds a better team. Makes a person wonder.
So, yes I liked the book... It might have been a 5 star but a couple things bothered me.
So what I didn't like:
1:The enter changing use of first and last names to identify the character. With 5 main characters and a few supporting.. the referring to a character by the first name and then by last name some got a little confusing for me.
2: I also felt the main couple to be O and Max, (which synopsis is Max) but as the story progressed it felt like Sloan was the main hero and I missed really getting to know Max. I understand being in a relationship with 4 guys would be hard to share time, but since max was clearing the lead, I would have expected to dive a little deeper with him.
Overall, I'm kinda surprised I enjoyed a book with so much sex in it but it offered a great story line and had a very easy flow. I will definitely be reading more from this series.
I had a hard time figuring out who was who between the first and last names and I didn't much care for Oriana, felt like she was one of those TSTL heroines and the whole premise was so unbelievable - I know, I know it's fantasy, but really!?
I'm reading this for a challenge and it was real struggle to finish - the sexin' didn't even do much for me and it even has one of my favorite kinks - voyeurism. All in all, I'm glad this was a freebie because I would have been real disappointed spending money on this.
I really liked this author's Deadly Captive series but I couldn't finish either so I don't know if it's me or the books.
This book is just bad. I have less than 100 pages until I am finished, and I am not sure I'll be able to do it. The writing is awful! The use of the men's first and last names makes it very hard to keep them straight, but after a while you just don't care because they are just cardboard characters attached to a dick. Max is suppose to be the main male character, but he is hardly in the book. Orianna is this wishy washy female that for some reason 4 men, if you count Tyler, are crazy about and they all have MINE flashing in their minds when they think of her. Give me a break, as she is described there is nothing that would attract 1 man let alone 4. Talk about a doormat with daddy issues, what a waste of space. The reason behind the whole group sex thing never made any sense to me. It would have made way more sense if she just wanted to break free from her ass of a father and her bastard of a fiancé by getting a little wild and living crazy for a while. The thing that bugged me the most about this book is that I never felt like this was the beginning of the story, or the first book in a series. I felt like I was suppose to already know these characters and their relationships to each other. At many points in the book it seemed like I was coming into the middle of a scene with no clear idea of how I got from what I had just read to what I was now reading. Where the hell was the editor, did they even read this book? Oh well, at least it was free. Oh, and the real killer? The sex was boring.
I liked it but it took me a while to get into it because there was many characters and they were being referred to by first or last name so it took twice as long for me to get them straight. I think my main issue was how the dynamic went between Max and Oriana - because in the end I just didn't think he brought much to the table, err, bed. I didn't hate him or his kink and it may be his kink of voyeurism that makes him seem like an extra but he did not appeal to me at all. Sloan and Dominik were better suited to her than Max and could have met her needs just fine. The other two from the first menage+ were kind of extra and felt like it made too many cooks in the pot.
I did enjoy the sex scenes a lot - except the one where the guy
I did enjoy the shenanigans going on with the hockey parts - and the kind of mystery! I'm hopeful that we get one about Oriana's sister next!
Well at least I finished reading it this time around, but I still have the same issues I had when I first attempted to read this book. The biggest issue for me was that the heroine is honestly just too stupid to live. I couldn't find one redeeming quality about her, and trust me when I say that it had nothing to do with her sexual preferences. She honestly just grated on my nerves BIG time. Plus, what was with all the guys? Did she have some sort of magical vag that put them all under a spell? How could all 5 of these guys, well honestly 4 since one backed out quickly after the first go round, be so enthralled with her? I just didn't get it. The sex scenes were pretty lack luster, and were the focus of the entire story it seemed even in serious situations where I'd think that should be the last thing on their minds. I also didn't understand the plot, because it was pretty ridiculous in my humble opinion. Overall, this just wasn't very good and I'm kind of upset that I even bothered with trying to read this one again.
Okay, it was tough getting into the book. I was very confused by many of the characters. They go by either a first name or last name, which makes it much more confusing. Since there are many team member who are a major part of this story, that's what causes the confusion. There are names being thrown all over the place.
Also, there are varying points of view that happen from paragraph to paragraph. The story is a little basic, but the redeeming part of this story was the BDSM moments with her many lovers. Each one is crazy hot.
Though there was no clear reason for Oriana's father to treat her they way he does, even when it turns out she's been right all along. I get that her desire to be wanted, loved an accepted was the precursor for her relationship with the guys from the team.
Okay I'm at a loss. I don't really know much about Doms and Subs but this story actually is an eye opener for me.
I know the expressions is how I feel after reading this, cause I don't think I will view certain things used in this book in that kind of way ever.
The story for me was in graphic details and if the author was trying to shock well I'm shocked but in a way that I know will definitely make me more understanding of doms and subs.
Bianca Sommerland’s books normally push the description ‘dark and edgy’ as far as it’s possible to go, but Game Misconduct was more mainstream. Well, in so far as one girl and 5 kinky hockey players can be considered mainstream * grin *
Oriana is the good girl of the family, the one who does as her father tells her. So when he tells her to continue in her failing relationship with the team coach for the Dartmouth Cobras hockey team, she tries to make it work. In her heart she wants Max Perron, one of the players, but while he also lusts after her he fears that his kinkiness would make any kind of relationship impossible.
In a bid to break free from her father’s tyranny, Oriana takes a leaf out of her wild-child-sister’s book and stages a scene on security camera, that she can release to the papers and destroy his reputation. And that’s really where the story starts.
“I have a reputation, Oriana. There are a lot of rumours about me sharing women. If I bring the guys in here, and then walk out with you half naked -”
All the colour left her face. “Half naked? You want me to walk out of here -”
He quickly stepped up behind her to hug her before she got all upset for nothing. “In a jersey or somethin’. I know you’re not into exhibitionism.”
To her surprise, Oriana finds that she gets off on having several hot guys paying her attention, and let’s face it, who wouldn’t? They each have their own kink and each turn her on.
Max is a voyeur and needs the stimulation of watching before he can have sex. He usually double teams with Sloan, a sadist that constantly pushes his own boundaries. Dominik is the Dom on the group, with a gentle and caring nature, when he lets it out. Tyler is the youngest and the prettiest, constantly besieged by Puck-Bunnies and he’s never had a proper girlfriend. And TJ, the outsider, always on the edge of the action.
They each want a piece of Oriana, and as the story develops, they each fall in love with her. Max is still her first love, but can she only have him at the cost of having one or more of the others too? And besides, she knows their arrangement is as best temporary.
“Just a game.” Sloan’s words played over and over inside her head. She watched him score and hung her head. How stupid to have forgotten that was all it was. Not just on the ice. The entire week have been one big game, a bit of lusty, grownup fun. And if she started acting all jealous, the game would end that much sooner.
She wasn’t ready for that.
It’s not just shagging, although there’s plenty of that in pretty much every combination you can think of. Biana writes hot ménage, there’s no doubt about that. But she also writes a heroine who feels like a real woman, with fears and anxieties, doubts and pain, and you feel this journey with Oriana, every bump and jolt along the way. I was on the edge of my seat throughout most of this, either with the scorching sex, or the twisting, action-packed plot. Lies, betrayal, fights and buckets of testosterone lead to a searing read. Plenty of hockey action too.
Completely oblivious to her presence, Max cut across the ice in a burst of speed, his blades a silver blur. Stopping short, he hip-checked one of his team-mates, laughing his rich, skin-tingling laugh when the man shouted at him. Gliding backwards, he made a come-get-me motion with his gloved hand.
Happily this is just the first in a series and I am eagerly looking forward to the next instalment from the Dartmouth Cobras. A sizzling 5 out of 5. :-)
Wow! Where do I begin... I got a lot more than I bargained for with this book. ;) This was my first book by Bianca Sommerland and I enjoyed it, even though I had a few minor issues with a couple of things (mainly... the heroine). A small warning is I'd say this is not a book for everyone so let me try to do my best to explain.
The Cobras are a hockey team owned by Oriana Delgado's father. She is also dating, and living with, the team's coach Paul. Their dating relationship is more of a matter of business and convenience than love. Oriana is the mousy female type, not really an extrovert, she really doesn't know what she likes or how to ask for it. Always doing what others tell her and not making many waves. Or so has been the case until now.
She's always had a crush on one of the players, Max. And they were very good friends, even kissed, until one day she saw Max in an alley behind a bar having a threesome with his friend Sloan (another player of the team) that involved something more than just your regular sex toys.
Now she's trying to get her relationship with Paul to improve and she visits the arena dressed in what she thought was a provocative outfit only to find him cheating on her. Her father wants her to stay with Paul even after she finds that out because he needs Paul's support of the team. In rebellion, she decides to make it seem as if she had sex with half the team and use that as blackmail.
Except there's no pretend in the matter. Max wants her, loves her even. And somehow 4 of his friends and teamplayers are all on board for getting a piece of Oriana. Yes, that's... count them... 5 guys! Three of whom are Doms, one of them is a sadist as well. I could barely keep up with all that was going on at times and who was doing what! LOL But I can't say I didn't enjoy most of it. *wink, wink*
Some scenes might've pushed the envelope of what I find arousing (a little bit of breath play, edge play even though there was no bloodletting, and some pretty heavy spanking) even though there was a quite interesting use of ice mentioned. *makes a note*
In the end my problem was mainly with Oriana. Her complete change of personality the moment she decided to go forward with her sexual adventure was not believable to me. She did a 180 in a matter of a day.
One thing I can't deny is that this book was not only HOT but HAWTTTTT so if that's what you're in the mood for, you'll get plenty of that with this one! If I could give this more than 5 toe curls I would, but alas, that's all we have on our rating scale. Make sure you have what you need for that type of book handy and I'll just leave it at that. However, just note that this book does deal with some mid-extreme BDSM aspects so if that's not your cup of tea, then be warned.
I hope there's more to come about the Dartmouth Cobras!!!
HOLY HELL was this book HOT, HOT, HOT! I have to start by saying that the synopsis of the book that is posted on GR and Amazon does not do this book justice at all. I actually didn't think I would like it as much as I did. I expected Orianna to be a snotty, bitchy, princess type given the description of her plan to blackmail her father....but OH MAN, there is so much more heart and soul to this book that I could have hoped for!
I actually LOVED Orianna quite a bit. And the hockey players - OH LORD - the hockey players....She starts out with FIVE, yes, FIVE...and it eventually works its way down to only THREE - ALL DOMS.... There were times when I was feeling really anxious because I felt like there was no way that everybody was going to get what they wanted...and you really adore each of the men, they all bring something different to the table. Although I'm sure that these things are much more complicated in real life...the story had an ending that made me happy, although I have to be honest and say I can't imagine how jealousy does NOT play a role in any of these guys lives/relationships....but I find that I wonder about that in any book where there are more than just two people playing...
So, my only complaint is that I felt like the ending was a little short....I liked the little surprise in Tyler's life and I wanted to hear about Max's proposal (and you KNOW the hot sex they had while they were away) AND about Dominic asking to collar her (and you KNOW THAT had to involve HOT SEX too!)...I just wanted MORE because I'm greedy like that!
I am happy that the next book starts with their wedding/collaring....and if Bianca can make me like Silver she is one incredible author because she DOES seem like a bit of a bitch..... ;)
Happy Reading ladies - hope you enjoy it! Stay close to a cold shower while reading.... ;)
3.5 'Flag on the Play=Too Many Ppl in the Bed' Stars
This is my first gangbanger. Plus the BDSM lifestyle makes it a great recipe for training a unsuspecting submissive. The 5 guys are all Hockey players and the chica is the owner of the Teams daughter, Oriana Delgado.
Dislikes: -Couldn't keep the guys names straight during the gang banging scene. -Strike above. I couldn't keep the guys name straight period. A headache. Note: This will most likely be the deal breaker. -Half way through some of guys drop out of running and their back story died w/them. I need closure. -The story still left a lot of questions unanswered.
LIkes: -Its a series. I liked it enough that I will continue w/the series. -After the gang banging, 90% menage.
Let me start by saying this was not really what I was expecting. Two guys...sure, but more than that... During the first half of the book I was confused, trying to figure out who is who. However, I did like the last half of the book and that's why I settled on 3 stars and not 2. I felt the author tried to do too much. Too many men, too many scenes, too many kinks...and in the end not enough emotion, despite the HEA I just didn't really feel the true love.
I wanted to like this book, I really did, but it was so confusing. I couldn't just enjoy the read because I was constantly trying to figure out who the heck was who since the author changed from first to last name constantly. At times I thought maybe there was an additional person in the mix, and then after reading some more found out it was just one of the men's first/last name. An all this just took me a while to read and keep up with characters.
I tried. Made it 17% and DNF. I can’t 1) I can’t get with the writing and 2) the h is a mess and not in a good way. She’s flirting and getting stripped in front of a group of guys. Nope. Not for me.
REVIEW: I was really excited to start this series, but I was really disappointed with this book. The Dartmouth Cobras is a Hockey Team, Oriana is the daughter of the owner, and the girlfriend of the coach. She wants normal, and Paul - the coach - seems perfect for it. But he isn't. She's friends with Max Perron, one of the team players. He's in love with her for a while now. When she discovers her boyfriend is cheating on her, she decides to leavi him, however her father won't let her do it, or he will cut her off the family money. With the threat in mind, she decides blackmailing her father, so he won't cut her off, and make her stay with Paul, the Cheater.
The plan is simple. Act like a Team Bunny, and threat to release the details to the media. However, Max and his friends have other plans for her. Now what just COULD NOT go into my mind is, why SO MANY men? Blackmail is one thing, but did she had to have sex with almost all of them? Sometimes was just way too much, and not because I'm some kind of prude, I'm not. But I was lost. There were too many people feeling, talking, having sex, and WHAT THE HELL? I wanted to get rid of all of them but Mason. The rest could just go and screw themselves. Something that really annoyed me was how they treated the BDSM as some part of the team, Ugh. Privacy anyone?!
Max and Sloan called themselves "doms" but they were just NOT. Sloan claimed to have feelings at one chapter, and the next he says he's not into feelings with anyone. Max was very forgetable. Tyler was too silly. Sloan was too stupid. Mason was too intense (not so ba tho). Oriana was a walking pity party and I couldn't like her at all. And T.J. was so insignificant that all I can remember about him is that he looks like a tall batman.
Behind all the sex there, is a plot, but in the end I couldn't bring myself to care. I was already bored and annoyed. I only finished the book because it was for a challenge, otherwise I would have DNF it, and wouldn't go back to it. I wish there were more reference to the game itself. I don't know hockey and its rules, and it would have been cool if I was able to learn something from here, however there was too many technical words and no explanation behind it. I'm being nice by giving this a 2 star rating, because the plot idea was good, and there were a few good parts, however Game Misconduct really killed this series for me.
I enjoyed this book, though there were several things about it that just threw me. Overall, it was an enjoyable read.
First thing that threw me was the flipping back and forth between first names and last names. Some of the characters referred to the other characters by last name and some by first name, so which way it was depended on the point of view. Considering this is the first book and the girl is involved with five men, it was very confusing to figure out who was doing what. I often have that problem with scenes with more than three participants, but the name flipping made it that much more confusing for me. I *think* at this point I know which first names go with which last names, but I'm not positive, lol.
Second thing is that it seems a little unrealistic for a woman who seemingly had very little sexual experience to open up so quickly to the idea of five men. Granted, these were all hot men, but considering her lack of confidence in herself, it just seems like someone more secure in their sexuality would more easily move into something like this.
Third, I'm still not sure that I get the draw of Sloane. He was a dick for most of the book (though we did see some tender parts), but Oriana was still drawn to him. He didn't give her much to go on, but she clung to him.
Lastly, the whole "additional player" at the end seemed to sort of come out of nowhere. I don't recall clues to what happened, and it was sort of dropped after it did.
All told, though, it was a very sexy story -- how could it not be with one woman and five men? -- and enjoyable. On to #2.
Overall I did enjoy this book but there were several times I found myself just skimming through. I haven’t read a lot of hockey books but I do find anything with sexy athletes to be worth a try. Lol there is a lot of hockey talk but it wasn’t all about hockey just enough so someone who didn’t know the game would get some of the phrases and terminology. I had the most trouble with the players names. Ms Sommerland switched back and forth between first and last names a lot. I know that the players mostly refer to themselves by their last names but since their were so many players involved in the book it took a while for me to get all the names straight.
I was a bit Leary about the relationship with Oriana and the men. I kept finding myself wondering who she would wind up with after her five-some with the guys. Don’t get me wrong I like reading about a gang bank type situation every now and then but they all found themselves wanting a relationship with her and I was curious where it would go. Now y’all know I don’t like giving spoilers so I will just say that I was very satisfied with the way the book ended and was eager to read the next in the series (see my review for that one tomorrow). I was happy with Oriana’s decision and the man (or men-haha I’m a tease) so winds up with.
Really great premise for a book although hockey's not a sport I gravitate towards but to each their own. Basically, there are 3 reasons this book only got 2 stars. Here goes...
1. The heroine, Oriana, is hands down, one of the top 5 most annoying characters ever. Seriously. About 95% of this thing I wanted to tell her that we were playing the quiet game & she was it indefinitely. I could go on ad nauseam about how annoying she is/was but I'll refrain.
2. You've got 3 Doms, granted 2 are "baby Doms" according to the top dog, Dominic, a male submissive & another guy on the side for good measure. Somehow with all that testosterone the novice, bratty sub is calling the shots? WTH? Why???? Did I mention how annoying she was?
3. Last & probably just more of a quibble but you've got 5 guys who live together, work together, share females & sometimes sleep together & they never fuck? Really? C'mon man! o_O
All that being said there are some truly hot & kinky scenes in here but they just weren't enough to salvage the book overall for me.
Hard to rate...first half of the book was completely confusing to me. 5 guys and the author used 10 different names for them...i get using first and last names, but when you are trying to keep the men straight, it would have been easier to use one or the other all the time....second half of the book I wanted to strangle Sloan (bad Dom!) . The book finally came together for me at after the lighthouse scene...First half of the book 2 stars (maybe) second half 4.5.. There were times I about put it on the back burner but I am glad that I didn't....so i guess 3 stars overall for me.
Re-read (listen) 8/16/2016 it was much better the second time around...Sloan was still a jerk..
Having been told I should read this book, that it is one of those "one handed" reads, I said ok, whatever. Now I love me some smut, we all know this if you follow any of my reviews. I'm not a prude whatsoever. Having said that, I need some substance or some sort of plot to go with the smut. I struggled a lot reading this book. I felt bad for Oriana and how her father and douche bag of a boyfriend treated her. She needed a sexual awakening and she got it in the form of four extremely alphas. Look, the crazy sex didn't bother me, it was the lack of depth with the heroine, he flightiness.
Look this book, although very steamy just didn't do it for me.
Having always been controlled by her father, Oriana decides to get back at him so she can live her own life. She figures a little blackmail will do the trick. She starts out sleeping with five of the Cobras. She ends up having three Doms. This is a great introduction to the Cobras and the Doms that they are. Although it is definitely NOT for someone who can't take more than light BDSM.
"You deserve to be treated like you're precious, even when you're on your knees. Don't ever forget that."
This book holds a hell of alot of steam. 90% of it is hot blooded sex with some equally hot hockey players. I wasn't looking for much in this book but I did enjoy it.
Oriana is one lucky girl. After finding her boyfriend, the team coach has been betraying her, Oriana seeks to end things however her dad, the team owner attempts to interfere. Stuck in this situation Oriana attempts to blackmail them by making it seem like she slept with multiple of her dad's hockey players. Except she forgets about the pretending part.
Although this book is definitely raw sex. It's got anal play, most of it is menage or multiple partners and there is some BDSM in there too just to spice things up. However I also found it rather endearing. It highlights something we dont often see in romance and that is the idea of multiple partners, each fulfilling a different need. Its one of those things I still cant comprehend working outside of literature but it was kind of nice in this book.
That said I felt like we didn't get to see as much into the characters as I would have liked. They seemed one dimensional at times because we didn't see alot into their past and what makes them tick. If not for this lack of character development I would have rounded this up to 4 stars, but feel that this essential element that is missing warrants a round down.
I picked up this book several years ago and sat down to read it for a sports related challenge. It wound up being a very disappointing read. Oriana, while having a very unique name, was too mixed up for my tastes, even in a BDSM heroine. Her Doms also ran the range of emotions for me, and I couldn't understand why she needed or wanted 3 different Doms. I also felt she embraced her inner slut a little too much, blurring the line from lady that enjoyed kink to actual slut. While I didn't completely hate it, I also didn't get much enjoyment from it, not even a mild titillation. This is one I'll be deleting from my Kindle library and abandoning the series.
I stopped at Ch. 15, I would not have made it even there if I didn't have my helpful TTS eReader reading it to me. This book starts off SO confusing...the author introduces too many players without giving us enough identification and time to get to know each one, then the MC-heroine is trying to let out her inner slut and have a gang bang with 5 players. The action takes FOREVER to get going and the MC is so indecisive that IRL any player interested in a gang bang with her would have lost interest long ago! because I certainly lost interest. The actual scene was not terribly hot, it was so hard keeping the guys distinct and straight.
