I'm at rock bottom. I have no job, and I found my girlfriend cheating on me in our own bed. Even after kicking her out, everything in the apartment still reminds me of her, and I swear I'll never make the mistake of falling in love again.
When I find out about the house I've inherited, I don't hesitate to leave everything in the city behind. It's finally my chance to start over. A chance to build a whole new life from scratch.
But Aunt Nora's house isn't as nice as I remember. In fact, it's almost unlivable. But it's all I have, so I'm determined to fix it up. No matter what. As I slowly repair it, though, I notice it isn't the only thing changing. The clothes in my closet, my hair, the way I think about my new next door neighbor. The longer I stay here, the more they change too.
I never believed in magic, but now I know better. I should walk away. But this is my only chance, and I have to take it. No matter what.
Something bad that happens drives the main character to an abandoned house where his aunt had once lived. The house is not in good condition, though. He decides he will fix things and bring the house alive again.
Odd things happen, though, as he unpacks his clothes and finds out there are panties included, panties which he did not buy and did not expect to find.
There's Tyler who wants to buy the property and ends up helping in the fixing of the house.
Odd things continue to happen, though, as the clothes in his closet change to female clothes and he starts to physically change into a woman. There's more stuff that happens, some of it pretty negative, but things work out as they usually do in this type of story.
I think it's pretty good although I would have liked some explanation of where the magic came from.
I am extremely annoyed that this story can't be true. If it could be, I want to be Kennedy. The first book I've read by Kenzie, there will be more. Of that, I'm sure.
