This book is an amazing addition to your yoga, feng shui, healing or other spiritual practices. Its mainly a charting system of each of the 7 main chakra's. It combines crystal, aroma therapy, yoga, affirmations, color and space arrangement and other peaceful means of creating and going through transitions of development. I have had this book for two years now and have given it away twice only to continue my knowledge of the chakra system by purchasing it again. Today marks the beginning week of affirmations from the Sacral Chakra for me. Each week I focus on another chakra. The Sacral affirmations from this book are:

Affirmations of the Sacral Chakra

1.

I am moving toward a time when I am totally happy and fulfilled. Life offers me everything I need for that journey.
2.

I am worthy of love and sexual pleasure.
3.

I have a right to express my desires to others and myself.
4.

Life is unfolding as it should.
5.

I am prepared to honor my body and feel good about my sexuality

Hope you enjoy the Book of Chakra Healing as I have and make it a part of your healing process through out. Peace and Love

Very informative and beginner friendly. Some things were repetitive, but due to its textbook style it wasn’t surprising. However having some pages be in full color with text made reading those pages a little difficult, hard on the eyes, and impossible to highlight.

This book is quite useful to anyone trying to understand how chakras work. It explains a lot of basic information on chakras, and has a rather practical approach (for example, there is a clear "table of correspondences" outlining some crystals and essential oils for each chakra). For a beginner-oriented chakras book, I preferred Swami Saradananda's The Essential Guide to Chakras. Partially, I liked this one less because it didn't introduce a lot of historical information, and felt at times a bit on the surface/not thorough enough. However, in this book I really liked the descriptions of the altars, and how crystals can be used in chakra work. It also had interesting sections on the Archetypes - as Liz Simpson puts it, "the universal themes, or models, of human emotional development or rites of passage." I would recommend this book as a secondary source.
P.s. there are some gorgeous landscape images in this book to aid in meditation!

This book gave a really clear, concise explanation of Chakra Healing and especially with all the pictures and diagrams included, it allowed me to go through my Chakras and understand them the best way that I could.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn all about Chakras but doesn't want to be left feeling confused and like it is an impossible feat, to balance out your Chakras. It can be made so simple, just by checking out the symbolism behind each Chakra in this book! It is not just about sitting in a lotus position and breathing, it is about your state of mind and what negative thinking is actually blocking your Chakras. It did wonders for me, reading this book; it allowed me to clear all my Chakras so I could get past my four-year writer's block.

Its a well designed coffee table book detailing what all the chakras are about and giving a sense of what the balanced state would be like. The meditations, visualisations and exercises were thoughtfully put together.

Gorgeous book about the basics of the 7 major chakras. An excellent primer or reminder about our energy centers that require our attention for balancing and optimal spiritual, physical, and mental health. I use it regularly in my energy and intuitive guidance work.

This book an awesome place to being exploring the Chakra system. The information in this book is authentic and allows the reader to make connections with things shared in the book as well as reflecting onto themselves when they want to make a change in a certain area. Sanskrit terminology terminology is also broken down in the most simplistic form. The Chakras are explained from the very root of their sanskrit meaning to its corresponding crystals and yoga exercises to making the reader conscious of each step they are taking in aligning their energy points or becoming better in tune with themselves. Not only that, but the organ to energy point correlation is what starts this entire book. With each chapter you are able to see how everything truly connects within ourselves and how one can truly regulate and govern the energy they absorb from the world around them. By encouraging habits such as time taken to be alone and check-in with your own mental, physical and spiritual state, one is able to learn much about their own weaknesses and strengths and able to see the path on which they can make the changes necessary to be the more content and balanced from within.

A decent, user-friendly reference and introduction for a complete beginner. There is a chapter on each chakra that has a description, some key words and archetypes, a guided meditation, and crystal and other associations. There are also ideas for altars, but they seemed more gratuitous than practical - something to include because of the book's color photography. All in all, it's pretty and colorful, but fell short of what I was hoping to find as far as actually healing the chakras or doing any significant work with balancing them as a whole system.

The study and practice of Chakra Healing is ageless. Energy medicine is on the rise and has results. This book goes through all seven Chakras hitting on the archetypes, altars, physical exercises, crystal healing, meditation, daily questions, and affirmations. Beautiful artwork and photography lend a hand to the study and understanding, along with charts and glossary.
I recommend this for the library of any one looking to heal or be healed.
