I tried. I really did. Uh. Yuck. Ewe, nasty. If he called her hooha his little Pearlette one more time. And she referred to it as her Venus. Ugh. Hardly any character development. Twenty five year old millionaire meets forty year old in coffee shop. Went from rock climbing, perfect gentleman then no contact for a week to him being a totally different crass douche. If you could see my face.... Like i just sucked a lemon, people!

I'm all over erotica. Good erotica. Well developed scenes. This was just.... Unrateable, really. And I gave it half the book..

"Please. I cry "it's so big it scares me though!"

"Too big for you? Too big for your tight little pearlette? It’s so tight. Like a virgin. I think it needs to be ripped open by my big cock. I think it needs that.”

Ewe. Just ewe. He's 25. She's 40. Just no chemistry. Sorry people, I gave it my best shot.

Well, this book was really a surprise and I have to say that I liked it a LOT! It is written in first person narrative, using the heroine Pearl to tell the story. I have to confess, that I have not read very many books written in this format, but Arianne Richmonde pulled it off very well.

The story was one that kept me interested, because the heroine is a 40 year old woman who had been divorced for over 2 years and had not dated in all that time. Her ex-husband was not enthusiastic in the bed, leaving Pearl to believe that she can't have the big O with penetration.

Alexandre is the hero; he is French, 25 years old, very rich and absolutely gorgeous. Once he sees Pearl he has to have her. They start out with a date and have a wonderful time, and then it's over…or is it? He ends up sending her a beautiful antique pearl necklace that has so many different colors of pearls, hence the name of the book, Forty Shades of Pearl.

As the book moves along we get a very romantic story, and oh yes, the heat is on. The sex/love scenes in this book are extremely sensuous and well done. Of course Alexandre proves to Pearl that she can have the big O in many different ways and multiple times.

We also have some angst in this story, but everything works out fine and the ending is good. However, it's not quite finished. It looks like this will be a continuous series, as Arianne has plans for 2 more books. I hope we don't have a long wait, because I for one, plan on reading them when they are released.

I recommend this book for those who enjoy a wonderfully written first person narrative, romantic erotica, with lots of dialogue and plenty of well-done descriptive scenes. At a price of $2.99 you get a lot of book for the money, and it will for sure have you clicking at Amazon to get your copy :-)

**Thank you to Ann Richmonde for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.**

Ok I am going to do my best to be as honest as possible yet not harsh... As I say a lot, this is my sole opinion. Many may disagree with it, but this is what I think. I have some really strong opinions on this book so please bare with me as I get them all out.

This review may contain some spoilers so if you intend to read it please stop reading.

I am going to start by referring back to the blurb. I am sad to say that it did not stir my heart, rouse my emotions or touch my soul. I found it quite the opposite, very unemotional, and not funny in the slightest. I had a really hard time connecting to the characters and finding any sort of connection between the characters themselves. They lacked chemistry. The first thing that stood out to me was the bashing of 50 Shades of Grey. Now the author didn't actually mention 50 itself but major elements of it. One big "No No" in the writing industry is bashing another authors work. But what confused me the most was to then go and title this book in a way that almost mimics 50 Shades. Whether that was Richmonde's intention I am not sure but what I am sure of is that it irked me. Another thing that I must address is the use of food items during the intimate moments. Now I am all for people expressing their sensuality through food and using it however they see fit, sometimes reading about having warm chocolate smeared over my torso and breasts, then getting licked off by a tall, dark and sexy man is a real turn on, but having cherries put up my clacka then getting sucked out!!! I'm sorry but no! Nor do I think nutella mixed with honey on my breasts with a penis in between appealing either. Now a reminder, this is my opinion. Some people might like that type of thing. Me, not so much. One more thing to mention that I found quite disturbing was a dream that Pearl had which involved pleasuring herself on a horses leg. WHAT?!?!?! That is disgusting! Who even thinks of something like that.

Ok so back to characters. I found Alexandre (how do I put this), kind of repulsive. The way he spoke to Pearl, the way he treated Pearl was horrid. If anyone spoke to me that way they would have gotten punched in the face. This made it so hard for me to see the connection the author was trying to portray between he and Pearl.

All in all I did not enjoy this book whatsoever. I couldn't establish any connection to the book or the characters.

I have scoped out other peoples reviews of 40 Shades of Pearl and it looks like I am the first person to give it a rating under 4 stars so clearly some people do like to read this type of thing. I do apologise to anyone who may have taken offence to my review but once again, it is my opinion.

To me, any book with "Shades of" in the title is a knockoff of well--you know, and ignoring the very very bad cheesy dialogue and the fact that it's in the first person (which bugs me tremendously if it's not very well written), it was just an ok book.

The cutesy names for her vajayjay left me shaking my head. I had 1970s porno Bow-Chicka-Wow-Wow music playing in my head laughing to him referring to a Pearlette and her calling it a V8. She's 40 years old, a divorcée of two years and still reverts to kindergarten names for her hoo-ha, look I can do it, too!

This is the first time I’ll review two books in one review. Reason being that the second book, Pearl, is an alternate POV of the first, Shades of Pearl. That being said, I really wanted to see how the two books compliment each other. And whether the story benefits from the alternate POV. Turns out it does, but I’ll leave that for later in the review.

Shades of Pearl is the story of Pearl Robinson, a 40 year old documentary producer. She is tasked with interviewing a brother and sister duo who are the founders of a highly successful social media site. The two founders are Alexandre Chevalier and his older sister Sophie Dumas. Pearl is convinced that Alexandre, 25 and a billionaire, is as geeky as they come. Turns out he’s not only successful and intelligent, he’s also extremely hot, and French :) They meet and it’s lust at first sight. And so their affair begins.

This is one of the books with that recurring tagline, “If you loved Fifty Shades of Grey…” and since I actually did enjoy Fifty Shades of Grey, I wanted to give it a go. I however wondered if it would set itself apart. Turns out that would be the least of my concerns.

See, there were a lot of things that just could not allow me to get into the story. First, Pearl was supposedly 40 but she behaved so much younger- her mannerisms didn’t scream 40-year-old-woman to me. She also decided to come up with names for her vagina… she called it Venus which bugged me and V-8, apparently because it was like a powerful engine of a car… sigh…

Now Pearl wasn’t the only one coming up with ridiculous names. Alexandre started calling her vagina ‘pearlette’… you know, because he’s French and her name is pearl *cue eye roll*. He would say things like “Who else has been making love to my Pearl and her juicy little oyster?” or “They call it the Reversed Cowgirl. You’re in control, Pearl. You call the shots… with your pistol… with your pussy pistol.” I kid you not! I honestly don’t know who talks like that. Not just during sex, their conversations just felt weird. Stilted.

I have to say that I loved the idea of a ‘cougar’ storyline. I wanted to see why a 25 year old successful billionaire would fall so in love with a 40 year old. Unfortunately the story left me unconvinced. They fell too much too fast. It just didn’t feel natural to me. And while I’m not against insta-love storylines… I want to later understand what it was that drew the characters to each other. The explanation given just didn’t cut it for me. And I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at the fact that she’s older and her last name is Robinson… you know, à la Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate. She, Pearl, found that fact ironic and it was joked about… I just… sigh…

You must wonder why I kept on reading… And not only that, why I went on to read Alexandre’s book, Pearl… I have no one answer. But the one I can come up with right now is that I was on a road trip with my boyfriend and it made for interesting discussions.

But on wards with the story. Pearl, Alexandre’s POV allowed us to know Alexandre. The story was still strangely written and the situations and conversations unnatural. I did however get the sense that more is to come with this story. There seems to be some building up to some suspense. Not just with their relationship, but also on the grand scheme of things. See, Alexandre’s company might not be as clean as they seem. And with Pearl being so serious with producing documentaries with a cause, it just might cause a rift.

I’ll end by saying that I hate writing reviews of books I did not enjoy. I always tell myself to quit reading if I don’t enjoy it. But I received these books as part of a blog tour and felt obliged to give them an honest try. And once I’ve finished a book, I want to review it, good or bad. I will also say that my experience with a book might not be yours. Maybe the words pearlette and pussy pistol turn you on… to each his own.

Doesn't this book have one of the most beautiful dedications???

I really enjoyed this one! Sexy Frenchman in his mid 20s & easy to like heroine (and she is 40, imagine that!!!) make for a great pairing! Awesome settings: NY, Prevence, South of France, etc., steamy sex, awesome dirty talk, great playlist AND vintage cars ... need I go on?? Reads like a well written soap opera (IS there such a thing as well written soap opera though? LOL!) and I don't mean it in a bad way. I am sure more skeletons will come out in book 2 but this was a great start. 4 solid stars for me.

Best scene: their sex session via SKYPE. Two thumbs up for sure!!

At first I wasn't sure if I would like this novel because I suspected it might be a 50 Shades copy. How wrong I was! Yes, it is also erotic but so tastefully done and it is a really beautiful love story which held my attention from the first page until the last. I could not put this book down!

Although there are two more books in the trilogy (yet to come out)this novel is complete in itself - Arianne Richmonde does not use the cheap trick of chopping off the ending with a cliffhanger. But you want to continue on the journey knowing more about Pearl and Alexandre, that's for sure. I will definitely buy the next two books.

It was really refreshing to read something with a new premise and from a different angle - a younger man and a woman who is fifteen years older. So many moms loved Fifty Shades even though the heroine was only twenty-one and young enough to be their daughter! Likewise, Forty Shades of Pearl is a love story that can be enjoyed by anyone. There is an intensity to the relationship which makes you really identify with the characters. Also, a good dose of suspense and a few twists and turns which keep you turning pages.

The descriptions are beautiful, too. (Some of it takes place in France.) There are so many evocative passages which makes this a novel that can be appreciated for so much more than just hot, erotic scenes. The writing is first-rate. The dialogue is fluid and fascinating particularly when the characters are talking about the differences between French and American culture. (Alexandre is French).

A huge number of contemporary romance books out there right now (post 50 Shades)are dealing with psychotic, possessive, stalking 'Alpha' males who are often into BDSM and/or having a submissive female at their feet. I was so relieved to find Forty Shades of Pearl - a love story that has protagonists I could relate to and hold my attention because they are unusual. Alexandre is a flawed Alpha male but his power to seduce is more integral, more profound. And so alluring.

I highly recommend this novel!

Forty Shades of Pearl blew me away! I didn't know that an erotic romance could be so well written. Wow! My girlfriend told me to read this book and I'm glad I did. It wasn't only the characters that drew me in but the original story-line and the book as a whole. A lot of it is set in France. Two of my favorite villages in Provence are described beautifully, Ménerbes and Gordes. It made me feel like I was there - really part of it all.

This book is very sensual in many ways, not just the sizzling sexual chemistry between the two main characters (who are both as attractive as they are multi-layered) but the descriptions of the surroundings, the food they eat, the clothes they wear, the cars they drive. (If you are a classic car buff, like me, you'll love the detail.) There are lots of references to music, too. The tunes they are listening to which happen to make up a brilliant soundtrack! I checked it out on Arianne Richmonde's website to have a listen - great classics like Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World and Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg's Je T'aime, Moi Non Plus - all this embellished the mood of the book, adding to the story as a whole, making the journey an erotic, romantic one full of surprises and twists.

And like all love stories, as Shakespeare said, 'True love never did run smooth' so there is a sense of suspense as you wonder what is going to happen next and if their relationship will make it. I guess we'll all have to wait for book two to come out to find out!

A great read..both men and women will love this book!

This is a story about a sexy older American woman and a younger, dominant French man (you all know how much I LOVE FRENCH men!) This was one HOT book. It was not heavy in the kink department – but the sex? I LOVED the sex! Yummmy!

And the author's male hero's name is Alexander Chevalier! (Maybe a relation to André Chevalier? But only because he is GREAT in bed.)
A good story, the heroine is quite amusing in the way she looks at life. LOL moments. You won’t regret downloading and reading this book.

Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified PurchaseRichmonde writes with great verve, pacy and enjoyable. With her skillfully drawn main characters, Arianne steers you into a world charged with steamy sensuality, not leaving out any of the ingredients that feed an addiction you never new you had. This irresistible read keeps you turning the pages untill the small hours.
I loved this novel. It is a love story between two very interesting, tangible characters with real personalities. It was refreshing to read about a divorced, forty year-old protagonist who has given up on dating. I think a lot of women have been there and it really rang true to me. The plot focuses on Pearl Robinson who is a successful documentary producer in New York and who clings to work - it is her 'lifeline.' She doesn't have children and has given up on love. The last thing she expects to happen is that she'll fall in love with a younger man - twenty-five year old Alexandre Chevalier who is attracted to 'mature' women. (Pearl is obviously a very beautiful forty year old with a great body.) She becomes hooked on him and 'his magic wand' and falls totally under his spell.

Alexandre Chevalier is beyond gorgeous - a billionaire because he started a media website company called HookedUp with his sister which (like Twitter and Facebook), has taken the world by storm. Alexandre Chevalier makes Christian Grey look bad in bed. Really. This man (French, no less) is troubled yet insanely attractive and sophisticated for his years. I haven't fallen for a fictional character like this since Heathcliff. Watch out, girls, he'll have your heart beating with anticipation and have you tingling all over!

This novel is full of great dialogue, wonderful characters and a great plot while also being very sensual - some of the sex scenes will make you blush. Give this book to your husband to read - he might pick up a few tips! Literally, it could almost be used as a how-to manual - Alexandre Chevalier knows what gets a woman turned on. Reading Forty Shades of Pearl will give you butterflies.

LOVED this book At first, I thought it was a parody of 50 Shades of Grey (there are so many now), and I would not have read it, but a friend who has similar taste recommended, so I started reading it. At first, the idea of a much older woman with a younger man seemed weird (even though she is just a LITTLE younger than me), but I eventually got over that and stopped thinking about it. He definitely seemed more mature. I got hung up on a part that bored me and stopped reading for about a week, then I picked back up and got past that part, and then I could NOT put it down. Gave me so many butterflies in my stomach (the true sign of a good book!) I can't wait for book #2 to come out - hopefully later this month.

One thing I love is there was not a lot of time spent with the two of them in conflict. When there was conflict it got resolved and didn't take up page after page after page. I hate when books tear my heart out. Even though I know MOST come to a good end, still it's agony reading. This is NOT one of those - this one is a PLEASURE to read!

The story-line...not bad. The terminology for body-parts....oy! I could only laugh because no one seriously refers to their lady-parts as a "Venus mound". Ever. Even if she's 8 years old...this woman is 40!! Bahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Okay, okay, for real, review coming soon. I am going to now read this from Alexandre's POV. I know a Frenchman is not going to call his parts anything crazy...I hope! :-)

**FULL REVIEW**

“My dream is to run through lavender fields, taste the sun on my skin, and be loved forever and ever by this man’s side; this man who has seduced me with his quirky sense of humor, with sex, and now his home-made food, and hints of what could be in the future.”

A girl can dream…

A woman needs to make things happen. Pearl Robinson; a woman who is solely focused on her career, being that is the only thing she has these days. Middle-aged, divorced, and with no hope for the future of her love-life, but promising as a producer for independent films; it seems Pearl’s life is destined to be a lonely one.

That is, until she accidentally meets the man of her dreams. Wait? He’s fifteen years her junior, incredibly handsome, is part of a huge Social Media enterprise, and French! Pearl doesn’t know what hits her when this man approaches her in the coffee shop not even an hour after she misses him (for a business meeting) at a local IT conference. Fate has better plans for Pearl and Alexandre than just a business encounter.

Alexandre is a different breed of man. He has lived more in his short 25 years than most men and women have, life experiences starting at a very young age, and hard-times making him into the man he is now. He has an appreciation for women, seasoned women; women who have lived…not a girl who does nothing but hang on his every word. Pearl is that woman, and what’s more, she’s American. The American woman who will change Alexandre in ways he never realized.

Oh, what a ride they are in for!

“What about French women? Do you see a difference there?”…He ponders this. “Not so much the women themselves, but people’s attitudes towards them. In America, youth is worshipped. In France we love WOMEN. Girls are for boys. Women are for men. At least, I speak for myself. I am attracted to women, not girls.”

I won’t tell you there isn’t a complication in this dynamic between a young man and older woman…but this story just works. Alexandre and Pearl share a connection despite outside influences and obstacles. Aside from the very comical names used for Pearl’s “lady-parts”, I enjoyed the story. I am looking forward to finding out the rest of the story…Alexandre is a prideful, strong, Frenchman. Pearl is a beautiful, insecure, American woman. Wondering if they can really get past all that stands in their way.

Ebook: Fourty shades of Pearl

Author: Arianne Richmonde

Fiction, Erotica

This review may contain spoilers

I was given this by the author for an honest review

Summary: Documentary producer, Pearl Robinson, is a beautiful and smart forty year-old divorcee but has not had a date for over two years. When she hears about Alexandre Chevalier, a young French, Internet success story, she assumes he is a nerd. But when she bumps into him face to face she’s stunned by his charm, beauty and sophistication, and startled by her strong feelings and desire for a man fifteen years her junior. His looks, wealth and worldwide triumph with his social media site, HookedUp, means he can get any woman he chooses, but there is something about Pearl he finds irresistible…
The couple begins a passionate affair and Pearl’s body is awakened in ways she never imagined possible. She is consumed by him and his magical touch. But secrets, jealous family members and other external forces are threatening to pull them apart.
Erotic, humorous, and profoundly tender, Forty Shades of Pearl is a story that will stir your heart, rouse your emotions and touch your soul.

The Review
Ok, this was a great book, Pearl was such a great character, We all have traits about ourselves that we hate, but poor Pearl had so many more to cope with, that she won me over from the start. Alexandre was so perfect, loaded, gorgeous, body to die for and a god in the sack, what more could a girl ask for? OK maybe not a psychotic sister, but that just added to the story,The sex scenes were just how I like them, hot heavy and very sensual when the time was right, I loved the fairytale aspect to this book, the great hero, the female lead who had traits she did not like about herself, the evil family member, I would highly recommend this to all who love a great love story with Sex, that would be most of us then, 5/5

First off, I had seen this title and had held off thinking it was going to be a copy of 50 shades of grey. I was wrong! It was totally different, and I really enjoyed it.
Pearl is a woman in her forties who has a successful job, is divorced, and whos never felt satisfied in her sexual relationships. Until she meets Alexandre a 25-year-old French entrepreneur who she’s trying to get an interview with for her documentaries. She ends up running into him (unknowingly) in a coffee shop. They start dating, and he treats her like a woman should be treated! She worries about their age difference, but he assures her it doesn’t matter. Hes definitley mature for his age, and wise beyond his 25 years.
The sex scenes in this book are very hot and well done. He proves to her that she is capable of having orgasams (multiple even) when she thought it was impossible. The fireman scene is my favorite I think!
I love how descriptive the book is about the scenery and smells, especially when describing places they visit like France. I’ve never been, but I could just see and smell everything she was talking about. It made me feel like I was there with them, and I liked that a lot.
I was a little put off by the names she calls her vagina, like V-8, Venus, Pearlette, but that’s my only problem with it. The ending lets us know there will be more to their story, and I am looking forward to it. I cant wait to see where the next books take them!

Dislike the title intensely.....I honestly do but I did like this little gem of a story that I read in one night. Pearl is forty and successful. She has lived a full life experiencing it all.....a failed marriage that left her shattered, a miscarriage that left her doubting motherhood and confidence that can only come from growth when heartache, disappointment and regret has been part of your life........in other words she sounded real!....(okay Alexandre was 25 and a French millionaire........the kind of man we could all score...lol) I liked how she doubted that Alexandre could want her.......because truly we can be as successful and confident as we want but when a smoking hot younger man who could have any woman he wants but chooses you, you would question why.....and thats believable. The more I think about it the more I'm convinced that there is a niche for older women stories ( not too old because old people sex is just ick) but women in their late 30s, early 40s rediscovering themselves and finding a soul made for a second time in what ever form that might be.........I kinda feel proud of Pearl!

This is a mature romance between a 40 yr old woman and a 25 yr old man. It is a hurricane of emotions with a touch of dominance. Their physical love is engrossing and HOT!

This book is well written, with characters well defined where you become so involved it plays in your mind like a movie. MUST READ! About time someone wrote a love story of a 40 yr old woman. She is old enough to appreciate the affair. At her age let no one say that feelings and passion cannot consume you. These two are on FIRE! Could not put this book down.

You are a talented writer and I am glad to have found you.

I didn't quite know what to expect before reading this book. I had read many reviews and was unsure if it was for me. Was I wrong! From page one, I was totally engrossed in Pearl and Alexandre's story. And I was totally awed by Ms. Richmonde's writing. It's beautiful and lyrical--she writes great dialogue and makes the reader really experience the scene. I was in heaven when she transported me to Provence! And let me tell you, the sex scenes are fabulous! After finishing Part 1, I immediately purchased and read Shadows of Pearl and Shimmers of Pearl--and loved them both! I highly recommend this wonderful erotic romance series and look forward to reading more from Ms. Richmonde!

Alexandre Chevalier and Pearl Robinson. Alexandre and his sister have a billion dollar social network business called "hooked up". Pearl is wanting to do a documentary on them and they are known not to do interviews. She goes to a conference they are speaking at in the hopes to ask them about it. She ends up missing their part and goes to a close by coffee place. There she is in line behind Alexandre and meets him. She does not tell him she knows who he is as she is immediately attracted to him and he is also.

They start seeing each other. Pearl is 40 and he is 25. He seems much more mature than his age. They have incredible sexual chemistry and he shows her things she has never experienced before. They have unprotected sex and the possibility of her getting pregnant is fine with him.

She meets his sister and she is not friendly at all.

They do traveling together and he shows her his other home with lavender fields. He ends up saying he will turn the business over to his sister while keeping stock in it and asks Pearl to marry him and start a film business together.

review time... Well I have read 50 Shades of Grey, which I fell in love with and had me craving more... so I came across a couple of series that have really been great to read. This being the start to one of them. 40 Shades of Pearl is about a 40yr old woman named Pearl, who is supposed to go to an IT convention to get the inside scoop on a company started by a 25yr old man and his sister 10yrs his senior. She misses the chance to interview him but luck has it runs into them in a coffee shop... this is not hard core erotica like 50 Shades... No whips, chains & bloggers in this story... there is of course turmoil in each one's past that through the story they unravel together and move beyond.... this is a sensual love story, that if the young man's sister has anything go say about it won't happen. Definitely. great love story... one I'm giving 5 stars because that's all they allow me to give... Getting ready to start book 2 first thing tomorrow!

I had a lot of doubts whether or not to read this book. Mainly, I feel like the title was a rip-off from EL James'. However, there were so many conflicting reviews on it that I just had to see for myself. I've read several May-December romance novels. One thing I enjoy about them is that the h is stronger, independent, and more mature because of her age and the hard knocks of life. This h, Pearl, was not like that. I was actually surprised by her immaturity and her internal dialogue drove me nuts...to the point that I found myself skipping over pages. The writing was poor and I found myself trying to understand how Pearl could not only be so needy at her age, by also think she loved Alexandre after like 2 weeks. This book just disappointed me and I don't intend on reading the rest of the trilogy.

I loved the concept of this story, but I found Pearl to be annoying often as not. She was supposed to be a 40 year old woman, but she didn't read as such.

Alexandre is 25, and yes, French, but he seemed a lot older than Pearl. His mannerisms was those of someone older than he. I know age doesn't always have anything to do with maturity, but he still seem far wiser than Pearl.

Maybe it was meant to seem that way, so that the age difference wouldn't seem like much of a barrier in their relationship. The thing is I would have rather her seem her age, so I can realistically believe that he would be attracted to the older, more sophisticated woman, instead of a young girl.

All of that being said, I am intrigued enough to want to continue on with the series, plus the sex was out of this world.

Amazing amazing book! This first book by Adrianne richmonde is such an enjoyable read, full of sensual erotic scenes. It reminded me of the film nine and a half weeks and some of the fabulous erotic books I read twenty years ago, really beautiful. This is erotic writing at its very best. I found the Alexandre character really sexy and attractive, I
I can visualize him completely, and the chemistry was electric. I strongly recommend this book. Is there a follow up book in the offing? Can't wait to see what happens next.

The thing I liked most about this book is the fact that the H is 40 years old, was refreshing for a change to read a book where the H is closer to my age.. was a great romantic read, full of ups and downs as you would expect, nothing like 50 shades at all despite the similar name, a great read none the less.

Did not finish

I made it to Chp 13 because it was an audiobook playing in the background while I worked but...

Sweet Baby Jesus, how could anyone believe that Pearl is 40? 40 going on 13 maybe. As for Alexandre? 25 going on 70. He's like the pervy old uncle everyone keeps at a distance except dude happens to be good looking.

No, just no.

Where have I been? I don't know why I have never hear of this author and I have just happened to stumble onto this series but this is up there with some of the best books that I've ever read!
Kudos
