His column appears in newspapers throughout the country. He continues to preach in various churches, and has given speeches on journalism to groups as varied as local women's clubs and The New York Times Newspaper Group Metro Editors.
I have met and talked with Mike Riley a few times when we were members of the same church in New Jersey. Always a great conversation and this book is one of those conversations on paper
This is a collection of columns written by the Baptist minister / journalist. Columns ranged from the serious (how to find God when a 3 hour old baby dies) to hilarious (attending New York's fashion week). Naturally, I liked some more than other, but they were always thought provoking and well written. He still writes for the Asbury Park Press and is known as the "Irreverent Reverend."
